Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging unit, with a present in the form of a roll of mineral wool product, a wrapper of foil, paper or the like, by means of which the mineral wool product is fully wrapped with overlapping end portions, and at least one protruding from the envelope carrying tab, by means of which the packaging unit by a User is palpable. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing such a packaging unit.
  • Such packaging units for mineral wool products are usually voluminous, which is why they can cause problems when transported by hand. In most cases, they are here embraced and grasped with both arms in order to avoid slipping when wearing, or the user grabs with both hands in the elastic foil packaging to keep the mineral wool product while wearing can. The latter, however, requires increased finger power and can lead to damage of the film packaging.
  • This unfavorable handling is particularly disadvantageous in the successive transport of a plurality of packaging units, as is the case for example when insulating large areas such as roofs. This requires the user physically relatively strong, especially since such packaging units can also have a considerable weight, for example, more than 15 kg. In order to facilitate the transport of such packaging units on rough routes to scaffolding, in rough buildings and on the roof, it is therefore known to provide carrying aids to the packaging units.
  • the EP 0 287 177 A1 a packaging unit in which serves as a wrapping around a rolled mineral wool product, a shrink film, wherein the role itself has a backup tape against unrolling.
  • a carrying aid for transport here is a fastener tape is provided, which is stretched in the axial direction circumferentially around the packaging unit.
  • the fastener tape is not firmly connected to the packaging unit, so that a user can intervene on all sides with his hand under the fastener tape to receive the packaging unit and carry.
  • Such a fastener tape thus has the disadvantage that the packaging unit can slide out of this, whereby damage to the mineral wool product can occur.
  • a certain effort is required to bring the packaging unit again reliable in the wrapper of the fastener tape.
  • This problem occurs in particular when the carrier tape is not picked up in the region of the center of gravity of the packaging unit.
  • the resulting uneven load distribution leads to a different force entry on the support band on both sides of the user's hand, which can solve a less-stressed area of the strap from the packaging unit.
  • This known carrying aid therefore requires careful handling by the user and is prone to failure.
  • the subsequent transport of a plurality of packaging units, for example via a scaffold or on the roof is also difficult and time-consuming in these circumstances.
  • this packaging unit is also characterized by a very good handling, since it provides a positioned in a predetermined manner support area, which ensures a picking by a user at a favorable location in terms of weight distribution. Further, since the strip to be worn is firmly connected to the outside of the wrapper, it is not possible to slip or even slippage out of the packaging unit from the carrying aid. Due to the thus excellent handling comfort, the packaging unit offers according to the WO 01/10737 A1 for an advantageous use in practice. However, there is also in this known construction, the problem that the carrying aid to can attach only high apparatus and process complexity fully automatically in series. As a result, the production process as a whole is relatively prone to failure and there are high costs.
  • a mineral wool web provided as a flat web is fed to a winding station where it is wound into a roll with the aid of guide and deflection devices.
  • this role is wrapped in a wrapper that is completely covered by overlapping end sections.
  • This enclosure is kept ready in the form of cut to length sections on its own feed path and fed according to the feed movement of the mineral wool fleece to the winding station.

The invention relates to a packaging unit, with a present in the form of a roll of mineral wool product, a wrapper of foil, paper or the like, by means of which the mineral wool product is fully wrapped with overlapping end portions, and at least one protruding from the envelope carrying tab, by means of which the packaging unit by a User is palpable. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing such a packaging unit.

Such packaging units for mineral wool products are usually voluminous, which is why they can cause problems when transported by hand. In most cases, they are here embraced and grasped with both arms in order to avoid slipping when wearing, or the user grabs with both hands in the elastic foil packaging to keep the mineral wool product while wearing can. The latter, however, requires increased finger power and can lead to damage of the film packaging. This unfavorable handling is particularly disadvantageous in the successive transport of a plurality of packaging units, as is the case for example when insulating large areas such as roofs.

For example, the EP 0 287 177 A1 a packaging unit in which serves as a wrapping around a rolled mineral wool product, a shrink film, wherein the role itself has a backup tape against unrolling. As a carrying aid for transport here is a fastener tape is provided, which is stretched in the axial direction circumferentially around the packaging unit. In this case, the fastener tape is not firmly connected to the packaging unit, so that a user can intervene on all sides with his hand under the fastener tape to receive the packaging unit and carry.

Such a fastener tape thus has the disadvantage that the packaging unit can slide out of this, whereby damage to the mineral wool product can occur. In addition, then a certain effort is required to bring the packaging unit again reliable in the wrapper of the fastener tape. This problem occurs in particular when the carrier tape is not picked up in the region of the center of gravity of the packaging unit. The resulting uneven load distribution leads to a different force entry on the support band on both sides of the user's hand, which can solve a less-stressed area of the strap from the packaging unit. This known carrying aid therefore requires careful handling by the user and is prone to failure. The subsequent transport of a plurality of packaging units, for example via a scaffold or on the roof, is also difficult and time-consuming in these circumstances. Therefore, this prior art has not enforced in practice, especially since such straps are too costly, since they must be mounted either manually at the end of the manufacturing process or only with great equipment expense on the packaging unit. In addition, there is a risk that the fastener tape hangs on obstacles in manufacturing or storage conveyor devices, which is why the per se continuous delivery process for this known packaging unit is prone to failure. Since process interruptions, even at the end of production, have an impact on all other areas, they can have significant economic consequences.

In order to address these problems and thus reliably design the provisioning process for such a packaging unit has been in the WO 01/10737 A1 proposed to design the carrying aid as a strip, which is connected by gluing or sealing with the outside of the casing of the mineral wool product, wherein the connection is interrupted at least one provided for underreaching by the user support area. The support area lies close to the outside of the enclosure, wherein the elastic properties of the packaged mineral wool are used to allow the user to reach under. This known packaging unit is therefore generally suitable for mass production because it has no protruding parts and thus the risk is very low that the packaging units with a support area hang within a production line. In addition, this packaging unit is also characterized by a very good handling, since it provides a positioned in a predetermined manner support area, which ensures a picking by a user at a favorable location in terms of weight distribution.

It should be noted that the provision of mineral wool products in roll form already requires special devices and processes, which is why adaptations to this are possible only with great care. On the other hand, the provision of mineral wool products in roll form has proven to be very effective in terms of application, since these mineral wool products can thereby be provided as small-sized packages. Examples of winding devices used in practice include the DE 296 04 901 U1 as well as the DE 33 14 289 A1 known.

As explained in these documents, a mineral wool web provided as a flat web is fed to a winding station where it is wound into a roll with the aid of guide and deflection devices. In the DE 33 14 289 A1 It also explains how this role is wrapped in a wrapper that is completely covered by overlapping end sections. This enclosure is kept ready in the form of cut to length sections on its own feed path and fed according to the feed movement of the mineral wool fleece to the winding station. The length of the wrapping section corresponds to the circumference of the roll plus an overlap area. In a variant, the front end of the wrapper is clamped in the angle between the outside of the already wound mineral wool fleece and the inside of the trailing end of the mineral wool fleece at the inlet to the winding station and taken. The then completed winding performs a further rotation and thereby wraps the envelope completely around it. In the in the DE 33 14 289 A1 as a new and advantageous highlighted further variant, the cut casing is fed to the finished roll, adheres to the outside by a bonding agent such as relaxed water and then forms after a further revolution of the coil a closed enclosure. For this purpose, a layer is applied with adhesive in both variants at the trailing end of the envelope on the side facing the winding, whereby the superimposed coming to lie end portions of the envelope in this overlap region with each other.

The above based on the EP 0 287 177 A1 as well as the WO 01/10737 A1 illustrated carrying aids can then be attached to the enclosure in a subsequent manufacturing step. However, as has already been explained, this is done either manually, which requires a corresponding personnel requirement, or automatically, to which, however, then a considerable device and procedural effort is given to avoid effects on the continuous manufacturing process.

From the DE 201 21 285 U1 Furthermore, a packaging unit with a present in the form of a roll mineral wool product and a wrapper has become known, provided in the carrying aids on the envelope. In one embodiment, laterally projecting carrying tabs are formed on the side edges of the envelope. After the casing has covered the mineral wool roll, thus there is a carrying lug on each end face of the roll. These can be folded from the horizontal to the vertical, so that a packaging unit designed in this way can be grasped and transported lying by two persons.

However, this known embodiment of a carrying aid on a packaging unit has some disadvantages. So usually two people are required to ensure a safe and damage-free transport of this packaging unit. In addition, the laterally projecting carrying tabs on the envelope in practice present considerable difficulties in feeding the wrapping to the winding station and during the winding process. Here is a very considerable risk that these tabs hang laterally in the field of conveyors and thus cause a disturbance of the production process. Furthermore, especially in the course of the winding process with the resulting reversal of direction of the envelope there is a risk that the carrying tabs fold inwards and be accidentally wrapped with. These are then not available for use. Moreover, in this known packaging unit, these carrying tabs projecting from the front side are also subject to the risk of hanging on obstacles during further transport of the packaging unit in the warehouse or on the construction site or on the construction site, which impedes logistics, leads to interruptions in the conveying process and damage to the product as well as can lead to devices. This embodiment of a carrying aid on a packaging unit has therefore likewise not proven suitable for production in continuously controlled large series.

The invention is therefore based on the object, a packaging unit, as is known from the DE 201 21 285 U1 has become known in such a way that it can be provided fully automatically with low production costs and thus cost. In addition, the invention has the further object underlying to show a suitable method and a corresponding device.

This object is achieved by a packaging unit with the features of claim 1 and by a method according to claim 11 and an apparatus according to claim 21.

In this case, the packaging unit according to claim 1 is characterized in particular by the fact that the at least one carrying tab projects peripherally from the overlapping end sections in the envelope to the outside thereof.

Thus, it is inventively provided for the first time to assign the carrying tab on the one hand to the overlapping end portions of the enclosure and on the other hand circumferentially projecting on the outside of the enclosure. Since the envelope is double-walled due to the system in this overlapping area, a particularly stable basis for absorbing the weight of the packaged mineral wool product can be achieved here. The risk of damage to the packaged product, for example, by a yielding of the wrapper or by tearing the carrying tab can be kept very low.

Furthermore, the peripheral arrangement of the carrying lug allows grasping the packaging unit by a single person, since this can be arranged according to the invention in the region of the center of gravity in the axial direction of the packaging unit at least one carrying lug. This is according to the prior art DE 201 21 285 U1 just not possible due to the front side arranged carrying tabs.

However, a further significant advantage of the packaging unit according to the invention lies in the fact that thus no laterally protruding from the side edges of the enclosure elements are given, which would interfere with the production process. Since the carrying tab according to the invention is circumferentially present on the packaging unit, it is accordingly expediently arranged at the trailing end of the envelope. Thus, it effectively acts only as an extension of the envelope in the direction of movement in the course of the supply of the envelope to the winding in the production of mineral wool roll, which does not affect the manufacturing process.

The risk that the carrying flap could hang during transport to management facilities, etc., which would cause a disruption of the production process, is very low in the configuration of the present invention, since the critical device elements for this purpose are present so laterally in the region of the front ends of the packaging unit.

The packaging unit according to the invention can thus be produced with particularly high process reliability and cost-effective and can be handled reliably and without effort by a single person.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der erfindungsgemäßen Verpackungseinheit sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 2 bis 10.Advantageous developments of the packaging unit according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims 2 to 10.

Thus, the at least one carrying tab can be integrally formed with a fixing portion, wherein the fixing portion is received between the overlapping end portions of the envelope and fixed thereto.

In this embodiment, the invention thus provides for the first time to use the overlapping region of the envelope for fixing the carrying aid. Unlike in the prior art according to the WO 01/10737 A1 in which the carrying aid is adhered to the outside of the wrapper, according to the invention, an additional process step subsequent to the process in the winding station can thus be avoided. This significantly simplifies the manufacturing process. In particular, a manual intervention or a high technical device effort in the region downstream of the winding station can thus be completely avoided. This can keep the costs low. Furthermore, according to the invention thus reduces the risk of business interruptions to the continuously operating production line, so that the manufacturing process for such packaging units runs more stable and reliable overall.

Another advantage of a packaging unit designed in this way is also that it can still be reliably picked up by the carrying flap, since its position is clearly determined by the fixation by means of the attachment portion between the overlapping end portions of the wrapper and thus neither slipping out of the wrapped roll from the Carrying aid still picking up an unfavorable position is possible. The packaging unit can thus be handled in a particularly good manner. Thus, for example, a user can receive a packaging unit on the carrying leash in each hand and therefore at the same time safely carry two packaging units on a scaffold or a roof.

Further, it is possible, for example, that the attachment portion is fixed by gluing to the overlapping end portions of the enclosure. This procedure is particularly suitable because the overlapping end portions of the envelope are usually also fixed together by gluing. In order to fix the fastening section in this area, the adhesive layer which is present anyway can thus be used. Then it is not necessary to apply additional adhesive or provide appropriate devices. In addition, the additional effort in the packaging unit according to the invention is limited to those without carrying aid on the provision of the carrying strap with attachment portion, whereby the number of components can be kept low. This also has an advantageous effect on the costs.

In order to achieve a better fixation of the attachment portion to the enclosure, it is also possible that this is connected to both end portions by gluing. Then, the attachment portion is sandwiched between the two end portions and also the connection between these end portions is not interrupted at this point. The risk of detachment of the attachment portion of the enclosure can thus be further reduced.

Especially with regard to the recycling of the materials used in the packaging unit according to the invention, it is also advantageous if the at least one carrying tab made of the same material as the envelope is formed. Thus, the cost of recycling can be further reduced.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if the at least one carrying tab is formed of a more stable material than the wrapping. Then it can hold the forces occurring when carrying the packaging unit reliable, without the entire enclosure of the more stable, d. H. more tear-resistant and dimensionally stable material must be formed. The envelope can thus continue to be designed with a low-cost thin film, etc. and a possible additional effort is limited to the carrying aid.

In a modified embodiment, it is also possible that the carrying tab is formed integrally with the enclosure. This variant brings further manufacturing advantages with it, since fewer individual elements must be handled. In particular, the cost of providing and positioning the carrying aid on the envelope can be significantly reduced compared to the first embodiment explained above. This embodiment variant can be realized particularly advantageously when films of comparatively large thickness are used as the envelope, as is increasingly the case in practice, in order to take account of the increasingly higher compression values when winding the mineral wool product into the roll.

It is a further advantage if the at least one carrying strap is releasably adhered to the outside of the wrapping. This can be achieved that this is present during the manufacturing process as well as in storage and during transport close to the enclosure. Hooking a carrying tab on elements of conveyors etc. can be prevented even more effective. At the site, however, it is then readily possible for the user to remove this releasable adhesive bond and to lift the carrying flap from the wrapper. This is a picking up the packaging unit according to the invention continues to be possible without problems.

If the at least one carrying tab is formed from a plastic film, it can be provided inexpensively and can be placed particularly flat against the envelope. An impairment of the subsequent manufacturing or transport process can thus be avoided even more reliable. It has proved to be advantageous if the carrying flap made of polyethylene (PE), since this plastic has suitable material properties for use as a carrying aid and is also beneficial in terms of recycling recyclable.

The fact that a single carrying tab is formed, the deployment effort for the packaging unit according to the invention can be kept very low, without the wearing comfort suffers considerably hereunder. This is due in particular to the fact that such a packaging unit is usually picked up generally only with a single hand, so that more than a single carrying tab is often not required. Here, the packaging unit is preferably designed so that the single carrying tab is present in the axial direction in the middle of the packaging unit, so as to avoid an uneven weight distribution. This further improves handling comfort.

According to another aspect of the invention there is provided according to claim 11 a method of manufacturing a packaging unit comprising the steps of: feeding a mineral wool web to a reel station, winding the mineral wool web into a roll, feeding a wrap to the thus formed reel, wrapping the reel with the wrap in the reel-up station, the cover being provided such that there is at least one support tab at a trailing end thereof so as to project circumferentially toward the outside thereof after wrapping the reel from the overlapping end portions of the cover.

The method according to the invention stands out from conventional methods in particular in that no additional step in the process of winding the mineral wool nonwoven into a roll is required in order to attach the carrying aid to the wrapping. It is thus considerably simpler than the prior art.

Furthermore, the method according to the invention has the advantage that it can be easily adapted to conventional winding devices, without the local process would be affected thereby. Thus, a packaging unit according to the invention can be provided with this method particularly reliable and cost-effective.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 12 bis 20.Advantageous developments of the method according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims 12 to 20.

Thus, the at least one carrying tab can be integrally formed with a fixing portion, which is received after wrapping the roll with the envelope between the overlapping end portions of the envelope and fixed thereto. Thus, advantageously, all steps required for the provision of a carrying aid can be timed before the wrapping step, which makes it possible to avoid costly post-processing steps which disturb the continuous production process.

In this case, this procedure allows for a fully automatic implementation, since the enclosure is generally intermittently fed to the role of the system and therefore the time required for the attachment of the carrying tab and the attachment portion to the envelope time frame is already given as a residence time in conventional systems. The manufacturing process can thus be carried out continuously without time delay. As a result, this can be made particularly inexpensive. Furthermore, it is also easy to adapt conventional procedures to the Method according to the invention possible without having to change cycle times or to adapt process sequences.

A delay of the conventionally known method sequence can be completely avoided if the at least one carrying tab is arranged during the winding step of the mineral wool fleece to the roll on the envelope. Then the residence time of the envelope given here is used optimally.

It is further advantageous if the envelope is provided such that at its trailing end on the side facing the winding, an adhesive layer is arranged, by means of which the overlapping end portions of the envelope are glued together to complete the wrapping, and in that the attachment portion In the course of the provision of the envelope and thereby arranged after the cutting of the envelope on the adhesive layer. Then, the per se known step of providing the adhesive layer at the trailing end can be used to provide the trap for the attachment portion. An additional method step for fixing the fastening section can then be dispensed with. The procedural effort for producing the packaging unit according to the invention can thus be further reduced.

Here, it is of further advantage if a further adhesive layer is applied to the attachment section in the region which covers the adhesive layer on the cover. Although this additional step is associated with a certain amount of effort, it still has the advantage that the mounting portion is then connected to both end portions of the enclosure, so that it is even better fixed to the enclosure. In addition, the cost of the order of this partial further adhesive layer can be kept low, since this process can be performed equally in the residence time during the winding process and this also the applicator for the adhesive layer can be additionally used at the trailing end of the enclosure. The additional effort is therefore very low.

In an alternative procedure, it is also possible that the at least one carrying tab is provided in one piece with the wrapping. This further reduces the cost of producing such a packaging unit, since fewer items must be handled.

Further, it is possible that the wrapper is withdrawn from a supply roll and cut to length as it is fed to the roll. This has manufacturing technology the advantage that the wrapper can be provided as web goods, which simplifies the logistics. In addition, an adjustment of the required length of the envelope in view of different roll diameters is thus possible with simple means. This is particularly advantageous with regard to the conversion of the production line from one mineral wool product to another with other dimensions.

Alternatively, it is also possible that the sheath is provided in prefabricated length. Then, the step of cutting the sheath to the predetermined level can be kept out of the continuous manufacturing operation, which further increases the reliability of the manufacturing process.

It is a further advantage if a handle opening of the at least one carrying tab is punched out in the course of feeding the wrapping to the roll. Then a pre-assembly of the envelope can be avoided in this regard, which further increases the possibilities of variation, in particular with regard to a conversion of the production line to another product.

It is a further advantage if the at least one carrying flap is provided with an adhesion point, as a result of which it can be detachably adhered to the outside of the wrapper. Thus, the carrying flap can be temporarily fixed to the envelope, without their usability at the site would be affected. In particular, then there is no projecting element on the packaging unit during the procedure for the production, storage and transport, so that disturbances can be reliably avoided.

According to a further aspect of the invention, an apparatus for producing a packaging unit is provided according to claim 21.

The device according to the invention is characterized in that no additional device in the production line following the winding station is required to attach the carrying aid can.

The device complexity is thus low and accordingly the cost is limited. In addition, the use or retrofitting of known devices is easily possible.

Advantageous developments of the device according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims 22 to 26. These are analogously achieved above with reference to the dependent method claims advantages.

As shown in the FIGS. 1 to 3 For example, in a first embodiment, a packaging unit 1 has a roll 2 and a sheath 3. The roll 2 is wound from a mineral wool fleece 21. The envelope 3 surrounds the roller 2 in full, wherein a leading end portion 31 of the enclosure 3 is overlapped by a trailing end portion 32. In the Fig. 1 and 2 an end edge of the leading end portion 31 is shown in dashed lines, since it is covered by the trailing end portion 32. The envelope 3 is formed in the embodiment shown as a shrink film and engages in the in Fig. 1 state ready for shipping frontal end portions of the roller. 2

The packaging unit 1 also has a carrying aid 4, which contains a carrying flap 41 with a handle opening 42 and a fastening section 43. The attachment portion 43 is received between the overlapping end portions 31 and 32 of the enclosure 3 and fixed there by gluing. As can be seen from the illustration, the carrying aid 4 is arranged centrally in the axial direction of the roller 2 at this. The carrying tab 41 is integrally formed with the attachment portion 43 and projects from the overlapping end portions 31 and 32 of the case 3 to the outside thereof.

In the illustrated embodiment, the carrying aid 4 is the same as the enclosure 3 made of a polyethylene film. However, the carrying aid 4 has a larger film thickness than the wrapping.

In Fig. 1 For example, the packaging unit 1 is shown in the condition that is usually present during the manufacturing process, storage and delivery to the site. Here, the carrying aid 4 is close to the enclosure 3 and is by means of a in Fig. 2 recognizable trap 44 releasably fixed there. For this purpose, the adhesion site 44 has a suitable adhesive which is applied to the carrying lug 41 in a manner which will be explained in more detail below.

For the handling of the packaging unit 1 at the place of use, the carrying flap 41 is thus detachable from the wrapper 3, wherein the carrying aid 4 is nevertheless fixed in a stable manner to the wrapper 3 by means of the fastening section 43. A user can, as shown in Fig. 2 his hand through the handle opening 42 pass through and thus pick up the packaging unit 1 for transport. Furthermore, it is also possible to pick up several packaging units 1 in this way with only one hand. Thus, a user can also transport more than two packaging units 1 at the same time.

In Fig. 3 schematically a device 10 for producing the packaging unit 1 is shown. In the illustrated operating position, the mineral wool fleece 21 is already wound to the roll 2 and the sheath 3 is guided around the roll 2 halfway.

The device 10 has a conveying device 11, which serves to bring the mineral wool nonwoven 21 in the form of a flat web to a winding station 12.

The winding station 12 uses the end region of the conveyor 11 and a Aufstellbahn 121 and a carding roller assembly 122 to the mineral wool fleece 21 in a conventional manner to deflect upward and bend back in an arc, so that a coil and finally the role 2 results. To account for the changing diameter of the roll in the course of the winding operation, the Aufstellbahn 121 and the carding roller assembly may be by arrows 123 and 124 illustrated manner or in another way in their orientation or position in a 122 adjustable.

The envelope 3 is fed by a feed device 13 to the winding station 12. The feed device 13 has in the present embodiment, two successive conveyors on which the enclosure 3 is finally added after completion of the winding process of the mineral wool web 21 to the winding. For this purpose, an applicator 131 is arranged on the inlet device 13, which applies a sponge relaxed water on the leading end portion 31 of the enclosure 3, so that it temporarily adheres to the peripheral surface of the roller 2. In the present embodiment, the mineral wool nonwoven fabric 21 is configured laminated, so that there is a good adhesion in this area. The leading end portion 31 is therefore taken along in the course of rotation of the roller 2 reliably in the manner shown.

The feed device 13 also has a provision device 132, by means of which an adhesive layer 33 is applied to the trailing end section 32 of the casing 3. The adhesive layer is in this case sprayed on and forms a strip running across the width of the envelope 3, so that in the final state the overlapping end sections 31 and 32 are glued together completely in the axial direction of the roll 2.

In addition, the inlet device 13 has a joining device 133, by means of which the carrying aid 4 is arranged on the trailing end section 32 of the envelope 3. In this case, the carrying aid 4 adheres to the adhesive layer 33 by means of its attachment section 43. Subsequently, the provision device 132 is once again moved across the width of the envelope 3 up to the point at which the attachment section 43, the adhesive layer 33 covered. There, an additional adhesive layer 34 is applied, so that the fastening portion 43 is adhesively connected in the final state with the leading end portion 31. This configuration is for clarity in FIG Fig. 3 shown with exaggerated layer thicknesses.

By means of an applicator 134 adhesive is further applied to the support tab 41 for forming the adhesion 44.

The functions of the provision device 132, the joining device 133 and the applicator 134 are performed in the time interval of the manufacturing process on the enclosure 3, in which this is ready in front of the winding station 12, but not yet supplied. This is the case during the winding process, i. this additional process step is integrated in the conventional process.

The attachment of the carrying aid 4 to the trailing end portion 32 by means of the joining device 133 takes place in the present embodiment, characterized in that the joining device 133 holds the film-like carrying aid 4 by negative pressure and finally passes after their positioning on the adhesive layer at the trailing end portion 32, canceling the negative pressure. In Fig. 3 For this purpose, the state is shown in which the joining device 133 has already picked up a further carrying aid 4 and this is ready for the application of the adhesive means of the applicator 134, but not the trailing end portion 32 is supplied to a subsequent enclosure.

In the 4 to 6 a second embodiment of a packaging unit 1 'is shown. As far as components in this second embodiment are identical to those of the first embodiment, they are provided with the same reference numerals. Structurally modified, but functionally equivalent in principle elements are marked by a reference numeral.

As can be seen from these figures, the packaging unit 1 'has the roller 2 as well as a cover 3' modified from the first embodiment. In contrast to the first embodiment, a carrying tab 41 'of a carrying aid 4' is integrally formed on a trailing end portion 32 'of the envelope 3'. The end section 32 'thereby overlaps a leading end section 31' of the envelope 3, wherein the carrying tab 41 'protrudes from these overlapping end sections 31' or 32 'on the circumferential side to the outside of the envelope 3'. As in the first embodiment, a handle opening 42 'is arranged in the carrying lug 41'. Furthermore, on the carrying aid 4 'a particular in Fig. 5 recognizable adhesion 44 'formed by means of which the support tab 41' as in the first embodiment is releasably fixed to the enclosure 3 '.

Functionally, with this packaging unit 1 'according to the second embodiment, in principle, the same effects and advantages are achieved, as set forth above with reference to the first embodiment.

In Fig. 6 schematically a device 10 'for producing the packaging unit 1' is shown. Fig. 6 corresponds to a large extent the previously explained Fig. 3 , so that details with respect to the conveyor 11 and the winding station 12 will not be discussed here.

In contrast to the first embodiment, the envelope 3 'here, however, integrally formed with the carrying aid 4', so that can be dispensed with a joining device. Likewise, the additional adhesive layer on the carrying aid is eliminated.

As shown in Fig. 6 is at the trailing end portion 32 'of the envelope 3', an adhesive layer 33 'is arranged, which does not extend to the adjacent carrying aid 4'. The adhesive layer 33 'is applied by means of a provision device 132'. By an applicator 134 'is applied to the support tab 41' as well as in the first embodiment adhesive for forming the adhesion 44 '. The inlet device 13 'further includes as in the first Embodiment of an application device 131 'for applying relaxed water to the leading end portion 31' of the enclosure 3 '.

In the present second embodiment, the envelope 3 'is in prefabricated form, d. H. tailored to length and shape and delivered with punched handle opening 42 '.

Die Erfindung läßt neben den erläuterten Ausführungsformen weitere Gestaltungsansätze zu.The invention allows, in addition to the illustrated embodiments, further design approaches.

Thus, the attachment portion 43 of the carrying aid 4 may also be fixed to the overlapping end portions 31 and 32 of the wrapper 3 by a welded joint, a seal or the like. Further, it is not necessary that the attachment portion 43 is connected to both end portions 31 and 32. If the attachment portion 43 covers only a small portion of the adhesive layer 33, the additional adhesive layer 34 can be dispensed with as a rule.

Furthermore, it is not absolutely necessary that the carrying tab 41 is fixed by means of the adhesion 44 of the enclosure 3. Depending on the nature of the materials used, the mere adhesion between the adjoining materials may be sufficient to avoid free movement of the carrying tab 41 without additional adhesion promoter.

The position of the detent 44 on the carrying tab 41 is arbitrary and will be based in practice on how a particularly favorable and reliable connection between the carrying tab 41 and the envelope 3 can be produced. In addition, the trap can also be provided on the wrapper.

Furthermore, it is also possible to provide more than a single carrying tab 41 on the packaging unit 1. Depending on the dimension of the roll 2 to be packed, it may therefore also be useful to provide two, three or more carrying tabs, thus, for example Two people can reliably transport the packaging unit. This is particularly advantageous if the packaging unit has a relatively high weight.

The carrying aid 4 may also be formed of a different plastic than the envelope. In particular, for the carrying aid 4 as well as for the wrapping 3, a plastic other than polyethylene may be used, for example polypropylene or the like.

Furthermore, it is also possible that the carrying aid of the same material and in a same film thickness or stability is used as the material of the envelope.

As an alternative to the design of the handle opening 42, the packaging unit 1 can also be grasped by a user by special shaping of the carrying tab 41. Thus, the carrying tab can be e.g. T-shaped design.

In the course of the provision of the envelope 3, it is also possible that an adhesive layer is applied to the trailing end portion of a wrapper and the leading end portion of a subsequent, not yet completely separated envelope in one go. After the separation of these sheaths, the adhesive layer 33 then lies on the trailing end section of the one cladding and another adhesive layer on the leading end section of the following cladding. This additional adhesive layer can be used in this case to fix the leading end of this envelope on the winding. Then can be dispensed with the order of relaxed water and the application device 131.

The additional adhesive layer 34 described in the first embodiment can be applied to the attachment section 43 by the provision device 132; In particular, in applications in which following the order of the first adhesive layer 33, a separating cut to cut the sheath 3, it is However, as a rule, it is preferable to provide a further device for applying this additional adhesive layer 34, which is arranged downstream of the provision device 132 in the direction of movement.

The envelope 3 or 3 'can also be delivered as web material, which is withdrawn from a supply roll, not shown here, and fed to the feed device 13 or 13'. Then this is an additional cutting device and / or punching device for cutting the sheath 3 or 3 'and for the production of the carrying tab 41' and the handle opening 42 'assigned.

3' erstreckt. It is also possible that the carrying tab extends over the entire width of the envelope 3 and 3 '. Furthermore, a plurality of carrying tabs may be arranged side by side, or there may be several handle openings in each carrying tab. This is particularly useful when the carrying tab extends substantially or completely across the width of the envelope 3 and 3 '.
