Claims (2)

  1. Procédé de fabrication de papier et de carton par déshydratation d'une pâte à papier sur un tamis en présence d'au moins un polymère en tant qu'agent de rétention, avec formation de feuilles et séchage des feuilles, caractérisé en ce que la formation de feuilles est réalisée en l'absence d'agents de floculation inorganiques finement divisés et, en tant qu'agent de rétention,
    (a) des polymères contenant des unités vinylamine cationiques pouvant être obtenus par hydrolyse de poly-N-vinylformamides, d'une masse molaire Mw d'au moins 1,2 million, qui sont fabriqués par homopolymérisation de N-vinylformamide en poly-N-vinylformamide, puis hydrolyse des unités vinylformamide polymérisées en unités vinylamine, le degré d'hydrolyse de ces polymères étant de 1 à 50 % et les polymères ayant une densité de charge (déterminée à pH 7) de 0,2 à 4 méq./g,
    et
    (b) au moins un polyacrylamide cationique et/ou un polyméthacrylamide cationique, chacun d'une masse molaire Mw d'au moins 3 millions, les polyacrylamides cationiques ou les polyméthacrylamides cationiques contenant sous forme polymérisée 7 à 30 % en moles d'au moins un monomère cationique, et les poly(méth)acrylamides cationiques contenant sous forme polymérisée au moins un monomère cationique du groupe constitué par l'acrylate de diméthylaminoéthyle et le méthacrylate de diméthylaminoéthyle, sous la forme des bases libres, des sels et/ou sous forme quaternisée, étant utilisés,
    0,25 à 0,4 partie en poids du composant (b) étant utilisé par partie en poids du composant (a).
  2. Utilisation de combinaisons de
    (a) des polymères contenant des unités vinylamine cationiques pouvant être obtenus par hydrolyse de poly-N-vinylformamides, d'une masse molaire Mw d'au moins 1,2 million, qui sont fabriqués par homopolymérisation de N-vinylformamide en poly-N-vinylformamide, puis hydrolyse des unités vinylformamide polymérisées en unités vinylamine, le degré d'hydrolyse de ces polymères étant de 1 à 50 % et les polymères ayant une densité de charge (déterminée à pH 7) de 0,2 à 4 méq./g,
    et
    (b) au moins un polyacrylamide cationique et/ou un polyméthacrylamide cationique, chacun d'une masse molaire Mw d'au moins 3 millions, les polyacrylamides cationiques ou les polyméthacrylamides cationiques contenant sous forme polymérisée 7 à 30 % en moles d'au moins un monomère cationique, et les poly(méth)acrylamides cationiques contenant sous forme polymérisée au moins un monomère cationique du groupe constitué par l'acrylate de diméthylaminoéthyle et le méthacrylate de diméthylaminoéthyle, sous la forme des bases libres, des sels et/ou sous forme quaternisée, 0,25 à 0,4 partie en poids du composant (b) étant utilisé par partie en poids du composant (a),
    en tant qu'agent de rétention unique lors de la fabrication de papier et de carton.
