Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connector with a plug-in receptacle provided for insertion of an electrically conductive contact pin.
- the advantage of a large Kunststoffgaps set in this way is that the high frictional force at the beginning of the plug-in process (Aufschnäbel peak in the insertion force-path diagram) is significantly reduced because the contact blades and the contact pin only immediately meet in front of the parallel region of the contact pin, ie in a region in which the slip angle - based on the friction forces - are cheaper. Furthermore, the probability of back-insertion of the contact blades is reduced by a large contact gap.
- the abutments for the prestressing are rigid elements of the steel coil spring, which limit the spring movement of the contact blades in the inserted state on one side. Due to the tight tolerances of such spring systems there is a risk that the contact force is not fully achieved or that the contact pin is contacted only on one side.
- the connector according to the invention with the features of claim 1 has the advantage that the contact blades can operate in the plugged state over their entire spring range without reducing the contact force. Only then, when the contact pin has smoothly covered a path between the spaced-apart contact blades, they engage with him, and there are only sliding friction forces without Aufschnäbel peak effective.
- Such a connector can be manufactured to very close tolerances because it is mainly stamping-bending processes, and the precision of these processes defines the gap dimension.
- the contact force is supported by an additional force of the pressure spring in the inserted state.
- an electrical connector 1 has a base body 3 , which is to be connected at one end by a crimping region 5 with an electrical connection cable 4 .
- a plug-in receptacle 7 is present.
- Parallel to the plane of Fig. 1 extend flat side walls 8 of the base body 3.
- a contact pin insert 9 which is flat in cross-section either round or, as preferred herein and contemplated.
- the base body 3 is made of sheet metal, in the example steel, and by punching and bending.
- contact blades 11 by 12 wide slits were cut and cut free and formed by bending.
- the contact blades 11 originate approximately halfway along the base body 3 and extend in the direction of the contact pin 9 to be inserted.
- the contact blades 11 define two mutually perpendicular to the side walls 8 extending opposite sides of the plug-in receptacle 7, which are arbitrarily referred to as the top and bottom.
- the connector 1 is expediently delivered by the manufacturer in the initial state, possibly without crimped connecting cable 4.
- an expansion element 13 which is an integral part of a pressure spring 15 in the example.
- the expansion element 13 is essentially a resiliently deformable plate 16, the two contact blades 11 facing end portions are thickened in a central region by a bend 17 and there edges 18 ( Figure 6) for engagement with one catch 19 (Fig. 5). to have.
- the detents 19 are arranged at the mutually facing inner surfaces of the contact blades 11 at a suitable location (with respect to the spreading force to be exerted and the distance to be generated between the contact points of the contact blades 11); in the example, the detents 19 are approximately one third of the length of the contact blades 11, calculated from the side of the crimping 5 ago, and are formed by bead-like embossments.
- the plate 16 is convexly curved in the example to the socket 7. In addition, in the example, this is a biased state of the plate 16, and in the relaxed state, it is opposite (concave) arched.
- the information regarding the direction of the curvature in the initial state and in the relaxed state are considered advantageous in the exemplary embodiment, but are not mandatory.
- the plate buckle according to FIG. 1 initially sets up a relatively large resistance to the contact pin 9 impinging on the plate 16 when plugged together. It must first be pressed this convex curvature (approximately similar to overcoming the top dead center of a knee joint gear) so that it can be converted into a concave curvature and the plate 16 can get out of the notches 19 out.
- the stronger the convex curvature that is, the smaller the radius of curvature is), the greater is the force to be exerted by the contact pin 9 first.
- the tendency of the plate 16 to assume the relaxed state facilitates the deformation of the plate 16 by the Kunststoffpin 9.
- the pressure spring 15 in addition to the described plate 16 in one piece with this connected leg 22 of elastic material, the further forward, in Fig. 1 to the left, extend.
- the legs 22 are at right angles to the image plane of Fig. 1 a distance from the bends 17 and therefore depending on the bending state of the pressure spring 15 at different angles relative to the angled portions 17.
- the legs 22 can provide without the yet to be described further function, that the plate 16 after unlocking not or only limited loose in the base body 3 can move. In the example, the legs 22 have been widely spread when mounting the plug-in device for the first use.
- the pressure spring 15 was stretched very elastically, especially in the region of the plate 16, which forms a yoke or a base of the approximately U-shaped pressure spring 15 in the view of FIG.
- the pressure spring 15 has been moved further forward, so that the free end portions 23 of the legs 22 are supported on immovable (in contrast to the contact blades 11) support surfaces 24 on the outside of the base body 3.
- the legs 22 are divided by a centrally extending recess 25 (Fig. 7) in arms 26 so that they can not collide laterally with the contact blades 11 or side walls 8.
- the free end portions 23 of the arms 26 of each leg were connected to each other after the last-mentioned manufacturing step by a transverse web 27 , so that the recess 25 in the leg 22 forms a window.
- the arrangement is such that the contact pin 9 is then prevented by a stop, not shown, to further movement when the webs 27 are located above the contact blades 29 of the contact blades 11; then they cause an amplification of the contact normal force generated by the contact blades 11.
- the webs 27 come after unlocking the plate 16 by the force of the pressure spring 15 automatically to the recessed location outside of the contact blades 11.
- each arm 26 could be in other embodiments by means Press a lateral projection on it on the contact blade 11.
- the arrangement is in any case such that the support and the position of the front end of the contact blades 11 do not inhibit the displacement of the pressure spring 15 undesirable.
- the contact blades 11 and the latching with the yoke of the pressure spring 15 are cut; a leg 22 of the pressure spring 15 is in view, partially hidden, visible. Seen in the insertion direction of the contact pins 9, the connector 1 is approximately rectangular.
- the exemplary embodiment shown has, inter alia, the following functions and properties:
- the pressure spring 15 is designed as a wide and U-shaped bent spring steel clip.
- the base 16 of the U-shaped pressure spring 15 is made massive; it takes over the spreading function for the contact blades 11 during the insertion phase of the contact pin 9.
- the base 16 takes over the main work of the inward spring action during the contacting.
- the corresponding notches 19 are provided on the inside of the contact blades 11 for the edges 18 of the An horrfederbasis 16.
- the free legs 22 of the U-shaped pressure spring 15 are provided with wide windows 25; through this, the contact blades 11 can penetrate from the outside, so that they are compressed in the Kunststoffierphase from the outer tips (pressure surfaces 23) of the free legs 22 at the level of the contact points or contact blades 29 from the outside. As delivered and during the first phase of the insertion process these pressure surfaces 23 of the free Antikfederschenkel 22 rest on rigid abutments 24 of the Kunststoffmaul Kunststoffes (input opening of the plug-in receptacle), without touching the contact blades 11. Any elastic deformation of the arms 26 is not shown.
- the contact blades 11 and the pressure spring 15 in the delivery condition it is possible to realize for the Clearsteckung so far biased Kunststoffgap that allows a force-free insertion of the contact pins 9 to far between the contact tips 29.
- Fig. 3 shows the end position of the pushed by the contact pin 9 to the rear pressure spring 15th
- FIGS. 4a to 4c show a 9 in Fig. 4 compared with Fig. 1 to learn about the contact cusps 29 further smoothly advanced contact pin in Fig. 4b of the contact pin has deformed 9, the plate 16 from convex to concave and the whole pressure spring 15 moved so far back that the end portions 23 of the arms 26 are resiliently supported on the contact blades 11 outside.
- the contact pin 9 has moved a little further back. In this case, the end portions 23 are slipped to the lowest point of the outside of the contact blades 11 due to spring force and now press exactly in the contact region of the contact tips 29 from the outside to the contact blades 11th
- Fig. 5 shows for illustration the completely relaxed position of the contact blades 11.
- the contact blades 29 almost touch.
- no pressure spring has been installed in the main body 3 for demonstration in a sample.
- Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 show the pressure spring 15 in a non-installed completely relaxed state.
- the end portion 23 of the two webs 27 have a small distance.
- the compression spring is to abut against the support surfaces 24 of the base body 3, it is slightly bent.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical connector with a plug-in receptacle provided for insertion of an electrically conductive contact pin.
Contact systems are currently known in the automotive industry, in which contact blades are ready in a biased state for mating with the contact pin. This bias is achieved in that the contact blades are deliberately bent back from an initially over-arched state and are supported in this new position by rigid abutment on a Stahlüberfeder. By the bias of the contact blades, a large Kontaktgap to be set without lowering the effective in the mated state contact normal forces, which are defined by the Vorverbiegungszustand the contact blades in the unloaded state. The advantage of a large Kontaktgaps set in this way is that the high frictional force at the beginning of the plug-in process (Aufschnäbel peak in the insertion force-path diagram) is significantly reduced because the contact blades and the contact pin only immediately meet in front of the parallel region of the contact pin, ie in a region in which the slip angle - based on the friction forces - are cheaper. Furthermore, the probability of back-insertion of the contact blades is reduced by a large contact gap. In known contact systems with prestressed contact blades, the abutments for the prestressing are rigid elements of the steel coil spring, which limit the spring movement of the contact blades in the inserted state on one side. Due to the tight tolerances of such spring systems there is a risk that the contact force is not fully achieved or that the contact pin is contacted only on one side.
The connector according to the invention with the features of claim 1 has the advantage that the contact blades can operate in the plugged state over their entire spring range without reducing the contact force. Only then, when the contact pin has smoothly covered a path between the spaced-apart contact blades, they engage with him, and there are only sliding friction forces without Aufschnäbel peak effective. Such a connector can be manufactured to very close tolerances because it is mainly stamping-bending processes, and the precision of these processes defines the gap dimension.
In the embodiment according to

In Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 , an electrical connector 1 has a
The connector 1 is expediently delivered by the manufacturer in the initial state, possibly without crimped connecting
In Fig. 1, the
It is envisaged to insert the preloaded and
Preferably, the
By this arrangement, the
Die in dieser Art ausgeführten Kontaktlamellensysteme können
- a) durch die sehr genaue Art der Kontaktlamellenaufspreizung den bei herkömmlichen Kontakten vorhandenen Aufschnäbel-Peak (erhöhte Kraft zum Auseinanderdrängen der Kontaktlamellen) vollständig vermeiden;
- b) sich darüber hinaus in Kontaktsystemen implementieren lassen, deren vorderer Kontaktierbereich schwingungstechnisch von dem Crimpbereich (für den Anschluss einer elektrischen Leitung) und der Stahlüberfeder entkoppelt ist, da Wechselwirkungen mit den umgebenden Elementen des Kontaktes bei diesem System nicht notwendig sind;
- a) by the very precise nature of the Kontaktlamellenaufspreizung completely avoid the existing in conventional contacts Aufschnäbel peak (increased force to push apart the contact blades);
- b) can also be implemented in contact systems whose front Kontaktierbereich is vibrationally decoupled from the crimp (for the connection of an electrical line) and the steel coil over, since interactions with the surrounding elements of the contact in this system are not necessary;
- c) are manufactured to very tight tolerances, since it is all about stamping-bending processes of a part and the precision of the stamping-bending process at this point defines the Gapmaß.

FIGS. 4a to 4c show a 9 in Fig. 4 compared with Fig. 1 to learn about the
Fig. 5 shows for illustration the completely relaxed position of the
Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 show the
