Definitions
- the present invention relates to a storage cabinet, and more particularly to a modular system of interior design of this storage cabinet. It can be any type of storage cabinet, but more particularly a storage cabinet used in the development of offices and businesses.
- each curtain is housed in its respective lateral space.
- the cabinet naturally includes a lower base and an upper cap and a bottom.
- the internal volume thus defined can be compartmentalized by means of horizontal tablets which are held in place between the two cheeks.
- the cheeks are conventionally provided with holding means in the form of holding holes which extend over the entire height of the cheeks with a spacing of a few centimeters, so that the shelves can be maintained at variable heights at the same time.
- each cheek is provided with two vertical series of holding holes, so that each tablet is supported in four points, namely two points per cheek.
- such a storage cabinet is provided with several horizontal shelves, so that the internal volume of the cabinet is thus divided into several compartments. Each compartment is thus delimited by two shelves and two cheek sections.
- this type of storage cabinet can be filled with various items, such as folders, which are arranged on the shelves. So tablets can be used as a rest plan. Another use is to equip the shelves with swings or hanging file support: the swings are hung below each tablet. Apart from these two types of use, this type of storage cabinet can not be used optimally. You can not store loose items in this type of cabinet. Nor can we store documents that are used very frequently by stacking on the shelves.
- the present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art by defining a modular system of interior design of such storage cabinets that allows to expand the range of items stored in these cabinets, and which at the same time allows to be installed in a modular way and adapted to the need of the use.
- Another object of the modular system of the invention is to be easily installed and particularly stable within such a storage cabinet.

- the means for removably hooking the support elements comprise spacers connecting two shelves and removably attached to these shelves.
- the support elements comprise at least one part engaged between two spacers, the part comprising a face provided with sliding grooves for the engagement of the drawers.
- two identical sections are arranged back to back so that the grooves are disposed outside, the two panels being engaged with two spacers that hold the two sides back to back.
- the panels pressed against the cheeks and the flanges held between the spacers are of identical shape.
- the sections that are not attached to the cheeks and thus divide the compartment into sub-compartments are not directly attached to the shelves, but held in vertical position by means of the spacers that hold the panels in a vertical position and which are attached to both sides of the compartment.
- the spacer serves as a hubcap by masking the two adjacent slices of the panels arranged back to back.
- the invention also relates to a storage cabinet comprising two internal vertical side cheeks provided with holding means and horizontal shelves held between the two cheeks at variable heights via the holding means, the cheeks and the shelves defining thus a compartment delimited by two shelves and two sections of cheeks, as well as a modular system of interior layout as defined above.
- the modular interior design system according to the invention can be implemented in any type of cabinet, but is more particularly suitable for office storage cabinets.
- a cabinet is represented on the figure 1 and comprises a lower base S, two outer lateral faces F and an upper cap C.
- the cabinet also comprises a bottom 3 which is visible on the figure 2 .
- the base S, the side faces F, the cap C and the bottom 3 constitute the fixed structure of the cabinet.
- These various elements may for example be made from sheet metal plates assembled by welding, screwing, clipping, etc.
- the front face of the cabinet is formed by two curtains F, which are formed from blades L which are fixed together in an articulated manner. Each curtain includes a terminal blade Lt which defines the edge of the curtain.
- the two terminal blades are intended to come into contiguous contact when the cabinet is closed, as shown on the figure 1 .
- Each end plate is provided with a handle portion P.
- the two curtains R When you want to open the cabinet, simply slide the two curtains R away from each other. The curtains then become lodged inside the cabinet along the lateral faces F. More precisely, the curtains R are wound on themselves in an internal space formed between the faces F and internal vertical lateral cheeks 1, visible on the figure 2 .
- These cheeks 1 are fixed inside the cabinet substantially parallel to the respective faces F of way to define between the face and the cheek an intermediate space that will be used to accommodate the curtain when the cabinet is open.
- the cabinet also comprises a bottom plate (not shown), which is part of the base S. This base plate supports the cheeks 1 and sliding rails in which slide the two curtains R. These sliding rails extend in the intermediate space for receiving the curtains when they are open. This is a very classic structure for an office storage cabinet.
- Such a conventional cabinet is often equipped with horizontal shelves 2 which are held between the cheeks 1.
- Each compartment is thus defined by two shelves 2 and two cheek sections 1.
- the rear of the compartment is closed by a section of the bottom 3 while the front of the compartment is accessible when the curtains R are open.
- the cheeks are provided with holding means which are in the form of at least one repeated series of holding locations 12.
- these holding locations are formed by 12 holding holes that pass through the thickness of each cheek 1.
- each cheek is pierced with two repeated vertical series of holding holes 12.
- the holes may be in the form of slits or elongate rectangular lights spaced from each other by a few centimeters.
- each shelf 2 is formed with openings 26 which are located on the edge of the length of the shelf.
- Each tablet comprises a flat upper face and two longitudinal lateral edges which fold inwards and thus form a hooking profile. This snap profile is conventionally used to suspend hanging swings or file holders. The entire structure just described with respect to cheeks and shelves is quite conventional for an office storage cabinet.
- the modular system comprises support elements 4, 5 and 6 and drawers 7.
- the support elements comprise cheeks or cheek panels 4, intermediate panels or panels 5 and spacers 6.
- the cheeks 4 and the intermediate panels 5 are identical so that the support elements consist only of two different kinds of parts, namely sections 4 and 5 and spacers 6.
- the drawers 7 they can be of different heights, but their width is the same. Their depths may be different.
- the flanges 4 and intermediate flaps 5 can be made by injection molding of a suitable plastic material. A relatively hard plastic material is preferred. However, the sections 4 and 5 may also be made of metal, such as sheet metal or aluminum.
- Each pan includes a rear face and a front face. The front face is provided with sliding engagement means which is here in the form of horizontal grooves 47 and 57. The grooves are accessible from the edge of each pan.
- the panels 4 and 5 have a height of the order of 30 to 80 centimeters and a depth that is imposed by the depth of the cabinet.
- the thickness of each pan is of the order of two to four centimeters.
- the flanks of cheek 4 are different from the intermediate faces 5 only by their positioning.
- the cheek pieces 4 are intended to be plated and fixed against the cheek section 1 of a compartment defined between two shelves 2.
- the sections 4 comprise receiving housings in which are received pins 41 intended to engage with the holding holes formed by the cheeks 1.
- fixing the removable pins in the cheeks is by simple snap engagement. It is thus possible to set up the flaps 4 in the compartment selected very simply and without the intervention of a particular tool. It is enough to report the pan 4 on the cheek and press to make the connection. The rear face of the cheek piece 4 is thus pressed against the cheek while the grooved front face is directed towards the inside of the compartment and is thus accessible.
- the cheek pieces may be disposed near or in contact with the cheeks, but attached to the two shelves at their upper and lower edges.
- the intermediate sections 5 are held between the two shelves 2 by means of two spacers 6.
- the spacers 6 engage with the vertical side edges front and rear of the pan 5 and are fixed at their upper and lower ends respectively to the upper shelves and bottom 2.
- the spacers may engage in the openings 26 formed in the shelves 2. At their upper ends, the spacers 6 may engage with the profiled edge of the upper shelf.
- the modular system can be limited to a single cheek and a single cheek 4 and a single intermediate pan 5. However, it is preferable that the modular system occupies the entire compartment defined between the two shelves 2 and the two sections 1.
- the intermediate sections 5 divide the compartment into several compartments, in this case three in the example of the figure 2 .
- the intermediate section 5 of the first compartment is oriented so that its grooved face 57 is directed facing the grooved face 47 of the cheek piece 4.
- the second intermediate compartment must be designed in the same way. Therefore, the present invention provides for having two back-to-back intermediate faces with their back faces in contact and their opposite-directed grooved faces. The pair of intermediate sections thus formed is held together and vertically in the compartment with the aid of the two spacers 6.
- the modular system comprises two intermediate partitions each formed of two intermediate faces 5 held together by two spacers 6.
- the intermediate compartment is also provided with grooves 57 which face each other.
- the last sub-compartment, located at the bottom on the figure 2 is performed in the same way, or more precisely, symmetrically, with respect to the first sub-compartment.
- Drawers of different heights can thus be engaged by sliding in each of the sub-compartments formed by the support elements 4, 5 and 6. It is thus possible to equip a compartment or several compartments of the storage cabinet with a modular system. interior arrangement according to the invention.
- the grooves 47 and 57 formed by the panels 4 and 5 are arranged in a regular and equidistant manner so that they can accommodate any type of drawers of different height.
- the shelves and the panels 4 are attached to the cheeks, which are spaced from the lateral external faces F.
- the cheeks are formed by the Similarly, the cabinet may be provided with one or two doors in place of the curtains.

Description
The present invention relates to a storage cabinet, and more particularly to a modular system of interior design of this storage cabinet. It can be any type of storage cabinet, but more particularly a storage cabinet used in the development of offices and businesses.
In the field of office furniture, there are already many types of storage cabinets, including metal cabinets made from sheet metal plates. These cabinets generally comprise two internal vertical side cheeks which are distinct from the external lateral faces of the cabinet. Between the outer faces and the inner cheeks is defined a space conventionally used to receive a curtain of the cabinet that closes the cabinet. Indeed, this type of storage cabinet is often provided with two sliding curtains formed from vertical blades hinged together. The curtain is thus flexible, and when this curtain is opened, it is housed in the space defined between the outer face and the inner cheek of the cabinet. Thus, each curtain is housed in its respective lateral space. In addition to the cheeks and the outer faces, the cabinet naturally includes a lower base and an upper cap and a bottom. The internal volume thus defined can be compartmentalized by means of horizontal tablets which are held in place between the two cheeks. More particularly, the cheeks are conventionally provided with holding means in the form of holding holes which extend over the entire height of the cheeks with a spacing of a few centimeters, so that the shelves can be maintained at variable heights at the same time. inside the cabinet. In general, each cheek is provided with two vertical series of holding holes, so that each tablet is supported in four points, namely two points per cheek. Conventionally, such a storage cabinet is provided with several horizontal shelves, so that the internal volume of the cabinet is thus divided into several compartments. Each compartment is thus delimited by two shelves and two cheek sections.
In a conventional use, this type of storage cabinet can be filled with various items, such as folders, which are arranged on the shelves.
The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art by defining a modular system of interior design of such storage cabinets that allows to expand the range of items stored in these cabinets, and which at the same time allows to be installed in a modular way and adapted to the need of the use. Another object of the modular system of the invention is to be easily installed and particularly stable within such a storage cabinet.
To achieve these goals, the present invention provides a modular system of interior storage cabinet, the cabinet comprising two internal vertical side cheeks provided with holding means and horizontal shelves held between the two cheeks at varying heights by by means of the holding means, the cheeks and shelves thus defining at least one compartment delimited by two shelves and two sections of cheeks, the modular system comprising support elements intended to be removably fixed in a compartment, the elements support comprising means slidably engaged, and drawers slidably mounted in the engagement means of the support members, the support members comprise detachable hooking means which cooperate with the two shelves of a compartment. Drawers can store any type of item, whether it's sheets, folders, or loose items, such as pens, paper clips, and more. The modular system uses the existing holding means in the storage cabinet to stably fix the system in a compartment of the cabinet. Advantageously, the support elements comprise removable attachment means intended to cooperate with the holding means formed by the cheeks. Advantageously, the cheek holding means comprising at least one repeated series of holding locations which extends over the height of the cheek. Preferably, the holding means comprises two vertical series of holding holes which extend over the height of the cheeks, so that the shelves and the support members can be attached to the cheeks at different heights.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the support elements comprise at least one pan intended to be pressed against a cheek and fixed to this cheek using removable pins received in receiving housings formed by the pan and engaged in the cheek holding means, the pan comprising a face provided with sliding grooves for the engagement of the drawers. In practice, there are two cheeks per compartment. These sections, which may be for example in the form of plates made of molded plastic injected, thus fit very easily in a compartment against the two sections of cheeks. The face provided with grooves is directed towards the inside of the compartment, while the opposite face comes into contact with the section of cheeks. The receiving housings may be provided between the grooves, so that they will not interfere with the sliding of the drawers.
Advantageously, the means for removably hooking the support elements comprise spacers connecting two shelves and removably attached to these shelves. Advantageously, the support elements comprise at least one part engaged between two spacers, the part comprising a face provided with sliding grooves for the engagement of the drawers. Preferably, two identical sections are arranged back to back so that the grooves are disposed outside, the two panels being engaged with two spacers that hold the two sides back to back. Preferably, the panels pressed against the cheeks and the flanges held between the spacers are of identical shape. Thus, the sections that are not attached to the cheeks and thus divide the compartment into sub-compartments, are not directly attached to the shelves, but held in vertical position by means of the spacers that hold the panels in a vertical position and which are attached to both sides of the compartment. Advantageously, the spacer serves as a hubcap by masking the two adjacent slices of the panels arranged back to back.
The invention also relates to a storage cabinet comprising two internal vertical side cheeks provided with holding means and horizontal shelves held between the two cheeks at variable heights via the holding means, the cheeks and the shelves defining thus a compartment delimited by two shelves and two sections of cheeks, as well as a modular system of interior layout as defined above.
The invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings, giving by way of non-limiting example an embodiment of the invention.

According to the invention, it is possible to equip one or more compartments of the cabinet with a modular interior design system that will allow better use of space, improved storage and accessibility easier. The modular system comprises
The
The
The flanks of
Alternatively, the cheek pieces may be disposed near or in contact with the cheeks, but attached to the two shelves at their upper and lower edges.
The
Drawers of different heights can thus be engaged by sliding in each of the sub-compartments formed by the
In the example used to illustrate the present invention, the shelves and the
Thanks to the invention, one can optimize the storage capacity of a conventional cabinet: it is indeed possible to store items of very different natures in the drawers.
