Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Glaskeramikkochfeld (1) mit wenigstens einem in radialer Richtung durch die Innenwand einer Isolierung (10) begrenzten Kochfeldbereich (2), unter dem ein Heizelement (3) angeordnet ist, zur Erwärmung eines auf dem Kochfeldbereich (2) stehenden Kochgefäßes (4), sowie ein die Heiztemperatur auf einen Maximal-Wert begrenzendes Überwachungselement (5), das die unterhalb der Glaskeramikfläche (7) entstehende Hitze vorzugsweise auf eine Temperatur von 800°C bis 900°C begrenzt, um die auf der Glaskeramikoberfläche (8) abstrahlende Hitze auf einen vorher festgelegten Wert zu begrenzen.
Zur besseren Ausnutzung des Glaskeramikmaterials ist in radialer Richtung außerhalb des Kochfeldbereichs (2) unterhalb der Glaskeramikfläche (7) ein separates Temperaturüberwachungselement (9) angeordnet, welches die im peripheren Bereich der Glaskeramikfläche (7) sich radial ausbreitende Hitze- bzw. Wärmeentwicklung fühlt und begrenzt.
