Description
Wärmedämmverbund mit verbesserter Thermostabilität und verbessertem Brandverhalten
Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmedämmverbund, umfassend zwei Metallplatten mit einem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial, wobei zwischen dem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial und mindestens einer der Metallplatten eine Brandschutzschicht eingebracht ist, Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung sowie Verwendung zur Herstellung von Lager- oder Kühlhallen.
Sandwich-Panels aus einem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial und beidseitig verklebten Stahl- oder Aluminiumplatten werden als Konstruktionselemente oder Verkleidung in Bauanwendungen eingesetzt. Ihre thermische Stabilität im Falle eines Brandes ist vielfach nicht ausreichend. So können im Brandfalle schon aufgrund der Hitzeeinwirkung thermoplastische Schaumstoffe zusammenschmelzen und die mechanische Stabilität der Sandwich-Panels beeinträchtigen.
Die WO 02/064672 schlägt daher vor, als Kernmaterial einen Polymerschaumstoff mit einer kontinuierlichen Phase aus einem Phenol-Harz und dispergierten Polystyrolschaumstoffpartikeln zu verwenden.
Aus der GB-A 2362586 ist ein Verfahren zur Verbesserung des Flammschutzes von Polystyrolschaumstoffblöcken beschrieben, bei dem die vorgeschäumten Polystyol- schaumstoffpartikel mit einem flüssigen Phenolharz, welches ein Flammschutzmittel auf Basis von Phosphor oder Chorverbindungen enthält, beschichtet und anschießend zu Blöcken verschweißt werden. Derartige flammgeschützte Polystyrolschaumstoffblöcke können bei Einwirkung von höheren Temperaturen über längere Zeit jedoch wegschmelzen.
Aus der DE-A 19639842 sind brandgeschützte Verbundsysteme aus Polystyrolschaumstoffblöcken, die an der Oberfläche mit Profilen, Gittern oder Netzen versehen sind, welche mit einer intumeszierenen Masse getränkt wurden. Die Profile, Gitter oder Netze werden bevorzugt in die Fugen zwischen den Schaumstoffplatten eingebracht.
Die EP-A 0942 107 beschreibt einen flammhemmend imprägnierten Schaumstoffkör- per aus im wesentlichen PU-Schaum, der mit zwei Selbstklebefolien, zwischen denen eine intumeszierendes Material eingeschlossen ist, kaschiert wird und dessen Verwendung als Brandschutzstopfen.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung war es daher den genannten Nachteilen abzuhelfen und ein Wärmedämmverbund mit verbesserter Thermostabilität und verbessertem Brandverhalten sowie ein Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung zu finden.
Demgemäss wurde der eingangs beschriebene Wärmedämmverbund gefunden. Die Metallplatten des Wärmedämmverbundes bestehen in der Regel aus Stahl oder Aluminium mit einer Dicke von 1 bis 10 mm
Das wärmedämmende Kernmaterial kann aus Polystyrolpartikelschaumstoff, extrudier- ten Polystyrolschaumstoffplatten (XPS), Polyurethan- oder PIR-Schaumstoffen oder Mineralwolle bestehen. Aufgrund seiner geringen Dichte, Verarbeitbarkeit und langanhaltende Dämmvermögen wird bevorzugt ein wärmedämmendes Kernmaterial aus Polystyrolpartikelschaumstoffplatten, die durch Vereintem von vorgeschäumten Polystyrolschaumpartikeln aus expandierbarem Polystyrol (EPS) erhältlich sind. Bevorzugt werden Polystyrolpartikelschaumstoffplasten einer Dichte im Bereich von 10 bis 50 g/l und einer Dicke im Bereich von 50 bis 250 mm verwendet.
Die Brandschutzschicht kann als Laminat, Platte, Folie, Dispersion oder Lösung auf das Formteil aufgebracht werden. Die Dicke der Brandschutzschicht richtet sich nach dem verwendeten Material und liegt im allgemeinen im Bereich von 0,1 bis 50 mm, bevorzugt im Bereich von 1 bis 10 mm. Geeignet ist beispielsweise eine Schaumfolie aus einem thermisch resistenten Melaminharzschaum (z. B. Basotect®) oder ein Brandschutzlaminat aus gelierter Alkalisilikatlösung (z. B. Palusol®). Bevorzugt wird das wärmedämmende Kernmaterial mit einer intumeszierenden Masse beschichtet. Die Beschichtung kann durch Sprühen, Tauchen, Rollen oder Streichen auf einer oder mehreren Oberflächen des wärmedämmenden Kernmaterials aufgetragen werden. Das Beschichtungsmaterial selbst ist flammresistent. Dadurch wird das darunter lie- gende, thermisch sensitive Kernmaterial vor hohen Temperaturen und einen Übergriff der Flammen geschützt und behält seine strukturelle Integrität.
Als intumeszierende Massen werden Materialien bezeichnet, die bei Einwirkung höherer Temperaturen, in der Regel über 80 -100°C, aufschäumen und dabei einen isolie- renden und hitzebeständigen Schaum bilden, der das darunter liegende wärmedämmende Kernmaterial vor der Feuer- und Hitzewirkung schützt.
Bevorzugt enthält der Wärmedämmverbund als intumeszierende Masse ein Alkalisilikat, insbesondere ein wasserhaltiges Natriumsilikat, Blähgraphit oder Blähglimmer.
Der erfindungsgemäße Wärmedämmverbund kann durch Verbinden von zwei Metallplatten und einem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial hergestellt werden, wobei zwischen dem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial und mindestens einer Metallplatte, bevorzugt zwischen dem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial und beiden Metallplatten, eine Brandschutzschicht eingebracht wird. Hierzu können kommerziell verfügbare Maschine zur Herstellung von Wärmedämmverbunden eingesetzt werden.
Nach einem bevorzugten Verfahren wird das Kernmaterial auf mindestens einer Fläche des wärmedämmenden Kernmaterials mit einer intumeszierenden Masse beschichtet wird und anschließend mit den Metallplatten verklebt. Es ist auch möglich, die intumeszierende Masse mit dem Kleber zu vermischen, gemeinsam auf das Wärmedämmende Kernmaterial oder die Metallplatte zu geben oder eine intumeszierende Masse zu verwenden, die eine genügende Adhäsion zu der Metallplatte aufweist.
Als Klebstoffe können Ein- oder Zweikomponenten-Klebstoffe auf Basis von Polyurethan- oder Epoxidharzen eingesetzt werden. Es können aber auch Klebstoffe auf Dispersionsbasis, z. B Acrylatdispersionen (Acronal®) eingesetzt werden.
In einer Ausführungsform wird die Brandschutzschicht ganz oder teilweise durch den Klebstoff gebildet. Hierzu werden dem Klebstoff Additive, wie Blähgraphit, wasserhaltige Natriumsilikate, Zinkborate, Melaminverbindungen, Metallhydroxide oder Metall- salzhydrate oder Mischungen davon, beigemischt. Der Anteil der Additive liegt im allgemeinen im Bereich von 2 bis 98 Gew.-%, bevorzugt 40 bis 90 Gew.-%, bezogen auf den Klebstoff. Zur Verbesserung der Verarbeitbarkeit, z. B. beim Streichen oder Sprühen, schnelleren Abtrocknung oder Verbesserung der Haftfestigkeit können dem Klebstoff weitere übliche Füllstoffe beigemischt werden.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform wird die Brandschützschicht aus einer intumes- zierenen Masse auf Basis eines Natiumsilikates gebildet. Hierzu verwendet man eine handelsüblichen Wasserglaslösung mit einem Wassergehalt von ca. 65 Gew.-% und vermischt diese mit Wasserglaspulver mit einem Wassergehalt von ca. 18 Gew.-%. Die Gelierzeiten der Mischung lassen sich über die Menge an Wasserglaspulver gezielt einstellen. Gegebenenfalls können anorganische Füllstoffe wie Metallhydroxide oder Metallsulfat-Hydrate in Mengen von 0 bis 50 Gew. % sowie bis zu 10 Gew.-% organische Materialien dem Gemisch zugesetzt werden. Die flüssige Mischung kann direkt auf die Platten des Panel-Kernmaterials aufgetragen oder aufgesprüht werden. Die Schichtdicken der Beschichtung können dabei zwischen 0,05 und 5 mm variieren.
Die Gelierung erfolgt bei Raumtemperatur, lässt sich unter höheren Temperaturen bis 80°C aber beschleunigen. Die Platten des Kern-Materials werden so allseitig oder nur auf den später mit einer Metallplatte beklebten Breitseiten beschichtet.
Es ist auch möglich, das wärmedämmende Kernmaterial mit der Wasserglasmischung zu beschichten und vor der vollständigen Gelierung beidseitig mit den Metallplatten zu verpressen.
Zusätzlich können die freiliegenden, nicht mit den Metallplatten abgedeckten Ecken und Kanten des Kernmaterials ebenfalls mit dem Beschichtungsmittel versehen oder durch Einbringen von Dämmkeilen aus Mineralwolle in die Panelen-Konstruktion zum
Schutz der kritischen Stellen, wie Enden oder Falze, vor der Hitzeeinwirkung bzw. dem Flammenüberschlag geschützt werden. Das Aufschäumen der Beschichtung kann zusätzlich entstehende Öffnungen abdichten und so einen Flammenüberschlag ins Kern- Material verhindern.
Der erfindungsgemäße Wärmedämmverbund eignet sich bevorzugt im Bauwesen, zur Fassadenverkleidung oder als sogenannte „Structural insulation panels" zur Herstellung von Lager- oder Kühlhallen.

Beispiel 1:
Eine Polstyrolpartikelschaumstoffplatte aus EPS (600x1000x100 mm) mit einer Schaumdichte von 18g/l wurde beidseitig mit einer 2 mm dicken Schicht einer Wasserglasmischung, bestehend aus Wasserglaslösung (Wassergehalt 65 Gew.%) vermischt mit Wasserglaspulver (Wassergehalt 18 Gew.%), beschichtet. Nach Gelierung und Aushärtung der Schicht wurde die erhaltene Platte beidseitig mit einer 50 μm Schicht eines PU-Klebers versehen und mit 1 mm dicken Stahlplatten beklebt. Zur Beurteilung der Thermostabilität und Flammbeständigkeit wurde das erhaltenen Panel nach Aushärten des Klebers horizontal befestigt und von unten über 30 Minuten lang einer Gasflamme (Flammtemperatur >500°C) ausgesetzt. Über die gesamte Testdauer von 30 Minuten schmolz nur ein geringer Teil des EPS-Schaumstoffkemmaterials und geriet nicht in Brand. Die aufschäumende Schutzschicht aus Wasserglas verhinderte weitge- hend die Schädigung des Kernmaterials und die strukturelle Integrität des Panels blieb erhalten.
Vergleichsversuch
Eine Polstyrolpartikelschaumstoffplatte aus EPS (600x1000x100 mm) mit einer
Schaumdichte von 18g/l wurde beidseitig mit einer 50 μm dicken Schicht eines PU- Klebers versehen und mit 1 mm dicken Stahlplatten beklebt. Zur Beurteilung der Thermostabilität und Flammbeständigkeit wurde das erhaltenen Panel nach Aushärten des Klebers horizontal befestigt und von unten über 30 Minuten lang einer Gasflamme (Flammtemperatur >500°C) ausgesetzt. Bereits nach 5 Minuten schmolz das EPS- Schaumstoffkernmaterials und geriet in Brand und die strukturelle Integrität des Panels ging verloren.
Claims
1. Wärmedämmverbund, umfassend zwei Metallplatten mit einem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen dem wärmedäm- menden Kernmaterial und mindestens einer der Metallplatten eine Brandschutzschicht eingebracht ist.
2. Wärmedämmverbund nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Brandschutzschicht eine intumeszierende Masse auf Basis eines Alkalisilikats, Blähgraphit oder Blähglimmer enthält.
3. Wärmedämmverbund nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gegenzeichnet, dass die intumeszierende Masse ein wasserhaltiges Natriumsilikat enthält.
4. Wärmedämmverbund nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Metallplatte aus Stahl oder Aluminium besteht.
5. Wärmedämmverbund nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das wärmedämmende Kernmaterial aus Polystyrolpartikelschaumstoff, extrudierten Polystyrolschaumstoffplatten, Polyurethanschaumstoffen oder Mineralwolle besteht.
6. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Wärmeverbundes durch Verbinden von zwei Metallplatten und einem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial, dadurch gekenn- zeichnet, dass zwischen dem wärmedämmenden Kernmaterial und mindestens einer Metallplatte eine Brandschutzschicht eingebracht wird.
7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kernmaterial auf mindestens einer Fläche zur Ausbildung der Brandschutzschieht mit einer intu- meszierenden Masse beschichtet wird und anschließend mit den Metallplatten verklebt wird.
8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kernmaterial mit einem die intumeszierende Masse enthaltenden Klebstoff mit den Metallplatten verklebt wird.
9. Verwendung des Wärmedämmverbundes nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6 zur Herstellung von Lager- oder Kühlhallen.
