The invention relates to a three-dimensional game of chess with eight superimposed square game levels, each game level eight times eight alternating black and white marked playing fields, and with chess pieces that can be assigned to the playing fields.
In a conventional game of chess each 16 partially different figures are arranged in a predetermined manner on the two basic series of a total of 64 playing fields having game field each opponent. The figures can be drawn by a player only in a certain way on the usually alternately black and white marked playing field.
In order to offer more opportunities for playing are the skilled person three-dimensional chess games in various embodiments known and familiar. These three-dimensional chess games usually comprise eight superimposed game levels, each game level being constructed in the form of a conventional chess board, which means that each game level has eight by eight alternating black and white marked playing fields. Here, the markers are arranged such that, for example, at a vertical edge of the entire three-dimensional chess game in the lowest level is a white field, in the overlying level a black field and so forth to the top level, in this upper corner of a black Playing field has. The chess pieces can be moved by a player either within a level, preferably in accordance with the known chess rules for two-dimensional chess, or between the levels in a predetermined manner. Based on this prior art, the skilled artisan has the object to provide a three-dimensional chess game that is playable due to its structure in a simple manner, and in particular on the inside arranged game fields can be accessed in a simple manner.
According to the invention the object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
The core idea of the invention is that for the formation of arranged in eight superposed game levels playing fields, a total of 512 playing fields, no massive structures, eg. B. in the form of cuboidal elements or the like, can be used, but that the playing fields are formed by links arranged on markings, which are alternately executed black and white. The connections in turn are arranged or fastened on substantially perpendicularly aligned rods on the edge of the chess game.
Here, a number of eight game fields each end of the row a staff assigned between which in eight levels one above the other eight connections are provided. It is understood that the distance of the individual connections seen in the vertical direction is selected such that a substantially cubic chess game is obtained whose edge lengths are equal to each other.
In order to be able to assign a chess piece to the connections or the black and white markings provided on the connections for identifying the differently colored playing fields of the three-dimensional chess game in a desired manner by the player, each of the 64 connections extending essentially in the horizontal direction and parallel to each other eight suspension devices each intended for a chess piece. These suspension devices can be designed by the person skilled in the art in any desired manner, but preferably as described below. In particular, it is also possible for a chess piece to be arranged above a connection. In the context of the invention, it is also included that z. B. only four rods are arranged on one side of the game of chess, each rod two vertically stacked groups of compounds z. B: are spaced apart from each other by means of crossbeams in the horizontal direction.
Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind der Gegenstand von Unteransprüchen.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of dependent claims.
Preferably, the hanger is formed by an eyelet, each of the chess pieces is provided at the top with a hook that can be hooked into the eyelet. Thus, it is possible in a simple manner to take out the chess piece moved by the player with its hook from the eye of the starting field of the turn and in turn hang at the end point of the playing field in the eyelet assigned to this playing field. In principle, this can also be done in the reverse manner, which means that the compounds are each assigned eight hook-like devices and the chess pieces on top each have a hook or eyelet is provided. In a simple way, in this case metal and / or plastic eyelets and preferably metal hooks on the chess pieces, the u. a. be made of wood, be provided. To mark the different playing fields, the eyelets are colored black or white in a simple manner.
In an advantageous embodiment, the sides of the three-dimensional chess game arranged substantially vertically aligned rods made of wood or metal, in particular aluminum, to reduce the overall weight of the game of chess. These bars can from the Person skilled in sufficient strength, in a design in aluminum, in particular as a tube, run in order to give the chess game sufficient strength.
In a particularly preferred manner, the compounds are designed as threads, which are respectively clamped between the rods assigned to a row at the end of this row. Thus, on a pair of rods, a total of eight threads in the vertical direction are clamped equidistant from each other at different heights. As material for the threads natural materials are proposed, such as hemp and / or cotton. To increase the longevity of the game of chess plastic threads or - ropes or wire ropes can each be clamped in sufficient thicknesses between the rods and secured in a suitable manner to these.
In order to increase the stability of the three-dimensional chess game, it is proposed that the vertically upstanding rods are clamped outward against the tensile force of the connections. This can be carried out by the skilled person in any desired manner.
To increase the clarity and ease of playability of the three-dimensional chess game is proposed that a base of the chess game is provided in a conventional manner with a checkered pattern, which means eight times eight alternating black and white fields. In this case, the color of the eyelets at the lowest level of the horizontal connections corresponds in each case to the underlying color of the playing field of the base area.
In order to increase the operability of the game of chess and in particular to be able to access the arranged in the interior of the game of chess game fields in a simple manner, the game of chess is formed segmentable. Here, the individual segments of the game of chess are relative to each other substantially in a horizontal plane or direction displaced to to be able to move away from one another such two segments and to be able to easily access the playing fields located inside the segment or the chess game by means of the space thus created between the segments. The formation of the chess game in two or more substantially identically structured segments can be configured in any desired manner. For example, a base described above on which a plurality of vertically upstanding bars with intervening strains are disposed could be in the form of transportable segments to lift and redeem these segments of the base at a desired distance from the other segments of the chess game to be able to access the internal playing fields.
Preferably, each edge of each segment two bars are arranged so that a segment thus consists of two rows of playing fields of a base with on the narrow sides two vertical bars, thus 16 horizontal connections are present on each segment and the three-dimensional chess game consists four essentially identically constructed segments. In principle, two, eight or 16 segments can be provided.
For relative displacement of the individual segments to each other is proposed that each of the segments has rollers or any other sliding elements, which in turn are in turn mounted on rails or runners hanging in order to move the individual segments substantially without resistance relative to each other. It is understood that the rails or skids must be designed in sufficient length to space the segments sufficiently far apart to be able to access the inner playing fields in a comfortable manner.
The three-dimensional chess game is essentially according to the Rules of two-dimensional chess played. This means that the king can only be moved one field at a time in the horizontal direction. The king remains as the only figure on the lowest level, which is referred to as level 1, for example,
The tower can be pulled in addition to the well-known moves along a row or line of the playing fields in a plane and vertically upwards. Thus, for example, it can be dragged from the field a1 in the first level to the field a1 in the eighth level.
The runner can be moved diagonally within a plane in a known manner and also diagonally up and down along a row or a row of playing fields. This means that, for example, the runner is moved from the c1 field in the first level to the c8 field in the eighth level or from the f3 field in the third level to d3 in the seventh level.
The queen can perform all moves of the runner and the tower as in the known two-dimensional chess.
The jumper can jump in a conventional manner within a plane, such. B. field b1 on the field c3 in the first level, as well as between different levels, z. From the field d4 in the fifth level to the field e4 in the seventh level or from the field d4 in the fifth level to the field f4 in the sixth level.
The farmer can be drawn in a known manner horizontally within its row by one field, the first move by two fields, as well as obliquely up or down within a row by one position, at the beginning two positions, ie z. From playing field a2 in the first level on playing field a3 in the second level. The beating of other figures is possible only within a plane in a conventional manner.
The rules regarding the castling match those of the well-known chess game.
The pawns King, Queen, Runner, Knight and Tower are located on the lowest level 1, as in the well-known chess game, and pawns in the second row a2 to h2 of the first level and 16 additional pawns in the rows a1 to h1 and a2 to h2 in the second level.

In the embodiment of the invention shown in Figures 1 to 4 is a three-dimensional chess game 1, which is composed of four substantially identically formed segments 2. At each of the four segments 2, two substantially vertically
At the connections 4 eight equidistantly arranged eyelets 6 are arranged in each case, wherein the eyelets 6 preferably alternately black and white are dyed and can be embodied for example as plastic or metal rings.
In the eyelets 6, a chess piece 7 with its hook arranged on the top side 8, in particular a metal hook, can be hung in accordance with the train made by the player. Thus, each chess piece 7 corresponding to the chess pieces known from two-dimensional chess can be easily moved from one playing field to another by a player.
In order to facilitate the playability of the chess game 1, the four segments 2 of the chess game 1 are movable relative to each other so as to obtain a space between two adjacent segments 2 by the spacing through which a player on internal playing fields, that is, for example, a central Eyelet 6 in the third or fourth game level from below to be able to access. Preferably, on the segment 2, which comprises a
