Das Skifell 6 wird nun in an sich bekannter Weise an die Skiunterseite angelegt und durch die Klebeschicht des Skifelles 6 haftet dieses entsprechend am Ski 2. Durch Ziehen am Bandende 9a wird das Band nun gespannt, so dass das vordere Ende des Skifelles 6 an der Skispitze 3 anliegt. Das Halteteil 1 ist durch die beiden Bereiche 7a und 7b bzw. durch die Kappe 7 geschützt und kann beispielsweise durch einen Schlag nicht ohne weiteres gelöst werden. Die genannte Rastverbindung bildet eine weitere Sicherung gegen ein solches ungewünschtes Lösen.
