- A chair of a chairlift, comprising at least one seat (1) with a seat surface (3) and a pivotally mounted closing bar (2), a crossbar (6) of which being disposed, in the closed state, across the thighs of a passenger, a safety device (10) being disposed on said crossbar (6) to reduce the distance between said crossbar (6) and said seat surface(3), characterized in that said safety device (10) has a contact surface (12) extending substantially parallel to said crossbar (6) and facing towards said seat surface(3), the distance between said contact surface (12) and said seat surface (3) being variable, and in that said safety device (10) is movable relative to said crossbar (6) counter to an elastic force while being in contact with the thighs of a passenger.
- The chair according to claim 1, characterized in that said safety device (10) extends substantially over the entire width of said seat surface(3).
- The chair according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said seat comprises two or more seat surfaces (3) and in that said safety device (10) extends over at least two mutually adjoining seat surfaces(3).
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said safety device (10) extends over the entire chair width.
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the distance between contact surface (12) and crossbar (6) is variable.
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said contact surface (12) is disposed on an elastically deformable element (20) of said safety device (10).
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said safety device (10) consists of an elastically deformable element(20).
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said contact surface (12) is disposed on a locking bar (11) of said safety device (10), said locking bar (11) extending substantially parallel to said crossbar(6).
- The chair according to claim 8, characterized in that said locking bar (11) is movable relative to said crossbar (6) counter to an elastic force.
- The chair according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that said locking bar (11) is pivotably mounted.
- The chair according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that said locking bar (11) is connected to said crossbar (6) by way of variable-length rods (22), e.g. telescopic rods.
- The chair according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that said locking bar (11) is connected to said crossbar (6) by way of toggle joints (15, 16).
- The chair according to one of the claims 1 to 12, characterized in that said contact surface (12) has, in the middle region of said seat surface(3), a nose-like projection pointing towards the seat surface (3).
