Such an assembly is provided in particular for controlling a pneumatic distributor in bistable function.
- the manufacturers of solenoid valves have provided electrical connection bridges designed so as to electrically connect the two pilot solenoid valves on a base. This base acts as a pneumatic interface between the pilot solenoid valves and a distributor.
- An electrical connector is provided on the base which includes electrical connection elements with each of the solenoid valves. The base thus exerts an electrical connection function complementary to its pneumatic interface function.
- an assembly of two pilot solenoid valves of the kind defined above is characterized in that the external electrical connector is provided on a first solenoid valve, that first electrical connection means are provided on one face of the first solenoid valve, that second electrical connection means combined with those of the first solenoid valve are provided on one face of the second solenoid valve and that the arrangement of the solenoid valves in 1 c s-sse ⁇ -i iage ⁇ ast such as the cooperation of the first efc second means of electrical connection is ensured during the production of the assembly.
- the first and second electrical connection means are preferably located inside the contour of the corresponding face of the solenoid valve.
- Each solenoid valve may have a substantially parallelepipedal shape with an elongated rectangle, and each face provided with electrical connection means is a longitudinal end face.
- the solenoid valves can be assembled head to tail.
- the first electrical connection means advantageously consist of a part, male or female, of an electrical connector, while the second conjugated electrical connection means consist of the other part, female or male, of the electrical connector.
- the two parts of the connector are designed to be joined preferably by translation.
- a junction element is generally provided between the solenoid valves. This junction element can be crossed by the pins of the male part of the connector.
- connection face of a solenoid valve may have pins fixed to the body of the solenoid valve to ensure the transmission of current, while a printed circuit board is fixed against this face and on these pins, this card comprising one parts of the connector.
- the invention also relates to a first solenoid valve, for an assembly as defined above, characterized in that it comprises an external electrical connector from which electrical connections are established with first ⁇ oyen-3 of electrical connection provided su u ⁇ e f ⁇ c ⁇ of 1 solenoid valve to cooperate with electrical connection means combined with another solenoid valve.

- the invention consists, apart from the arrangements set out above, of a certain number of other arrangements which will be more explicitly discussed below in connection with an exemplary embodiment described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, but which is by no means limiting.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an assembly of two pilot solenoid valves according to the invention
- Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the two solenoid valves of FIG. 1 being assembled
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an assembly of two pilot solenoid valves according to the invention
- Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the two solenoid valves of FIG. 1 being assembled
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view, on a larger scale, of a part of the first solenoid valve whose large dimension is oriented vertically;
- Fig. 4 shows, similarly to FIG. 3, the part of the first solenoid valve and an electronic circuit being mounted on this solenoid valve;
- Fig. 5 shows, similarly to FIG. 3, part of the second solenoid valve, and
- FIG. 6 shows the part of the second solenoid valve of FIG. 5 and an associated electronic circuit during assembly.
- Each solenoid valve comprises a body 1a, 2a constituting the main part on which is fixed, at one end, a second part 1b, 2b _
- This pilot valve can be of the 3/2 type that is to say with three orifices and two positions. In piloting applications of a pneumatic valve in bistable function, it is necessary to use two pilot solenoid valves of this type. Energizing one of the two pilot solenoid valves allows, for example, a first stable position of the distributor because one of the solenoid valves admits fluid under pressure against one end of the distributor spool while the other pilot solenoid valve connects to the the other end of the dispenser drawer.
- Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of the piloted distributor D, under the assembly A, with a base E constituting a pneumatic interface between the pilot solenoid valves 1, 2 and the distributor D.
- the assembly A comprises a single external electrical connector 3 which is provided on the first solenoid valve 1.
- This connector 3 constitutes, for a user, the only electrical interface between the assembly A and the two solenoid valves.
- the connector 3, according to the example shown, comprises a sleeve 3a externally threaded and parallel internal pins 3b in sufficient number for the electrical functions to be performed.
- the connector comprises at least one common pin and one pin specific to each solenoid valve, which allows the energization of an independent solenoid valve.
- Each solenoid valve 1, 2 has a substantially parallelepipedal shape with an elongated rectangle. According to the representation of Figs. 1 and 2, the large dimension of the solenoid valves is arranged horizontally, while in Figs. 3 to 6, this large dimension is oriented vertically. As clearly visible in FIG.
- first electrical connection means C1 are provided on a face 4 of the first solenoid valve 1.
- This face 4 is a longitudinal end face, orthogonal to the large dimension of the solenoid valve.
- the first electrical connection means C1 consist of a part 5a, male in the example shown, of an electrical connector.
- This part 5a comprises, for example, four parallel pins 6a.
- Cl the first connecting means can be fixed on a wafer 7a printed circuit with integrated electronics including providing viewing, d 1 suppression and protection against overvoltages.
- the electrical supply of the useful pins 6a is ensured from terminals 8 constituted by printed conductive rings surrounding holes 9 provided in the plate 7a.
- This plate 7a is fixed against the face 4 of the solenoid valve by any suitable means and the holes 9 are crossed by pins 10 projecting from the face 4 perpendicularly to this face.
- the conductive rings 8 are soldered, for example to tin, to the respective pins 10 which are electrically connected, inside the body la
- the first solenoid valve 1 may have three pins 10 corresponding to a common contact and to two supply contacts.
- the second solenoid valve 2, as visible in Figs. 2, 5 and 6, comprises second electrical connection means C2 combined with means C1. These second connection means C2 are constituted, in the example under consideration, by a female part 5b of electric connector combined with the male part 5a.
- the part 5b comprises sockets 6b suitable for receiving the pins 6a.
- the second connecting means C2 are provided on a longitudinal end face 12 of the second solenoid valve 2, inside the contour of this face delimited by an extension 13 of the external wall of the body 2a.
- the second electrical connection means C2, 5b are advantageously fixed to a printed circuit board 7b comprising, like the board 7a, electronics ensuring display, suppression and overvoltage protection functions.
- the plate 7b has holes such as 14 (Fig.6) surrounded by printed conductive rings 15.
- each hole such as 14 is crossed by a pin 16 projecting from it perpendicular to the face 12 and connected to a terminal of an electromagnetic coil (not visible) located inside the body 2a to control the movement of a core of the solenoid valve 2.
- the pins 16 are soldered to tin to the rings 14.
- the plate 7b is fixed against the face 12 by any suitable means.
- the second solenoid valve 2 is free of any external connector similar to the connector 3 of the solenoid valve 1.
- a junction box 17 (Figs.6)
- This box 17 includes a cover 18 provided with windows 19 making it possible to benefit from the display function of the plates 7a, 7b; for example a light source provided on these plates 7a, 7b lights up when the solenoid valves are energized, which is visible through the windows 19.
- the housing 17 is provided to fit onto each of the ends of the solenoid valves.
- the pins 6a have a sufficient length to pass through the housing 17 and to project, on the opposite side, in order to enter by translation into the corresponding sockets 6b of the female part 5b of the connector.
- the solenoid valves 1 and 2 are arranged head to tail as illustrated in FIG. 2, with therebetween the junction box 17. This box is put in place, by translation, against the solenoid valve 1. Then the solenoid valve 2 is put in place by translation against the box 17. During this operation the pins 6a engage in the corresponding sockets 6b of the connector part 5b. The housing 17 closes the assembly and maintains a gasket which guarantees sealing.
- connection of the connector 3 to a cable not shown makes it possible to supply, with the pins 3b provided in sufficient number, the supply of the solenoid valve 1 and the separate supply of the solenoid valve 2 by the pins 6a and the sockets 6b , inside the envelope of said solenoid valves. Thanks to the invention, the wiring time of the two solenoid valves is reduced since the electrical connection of the first solenoid valve 1 also allows the second solenoid valve 2 to be connected, without having to resort to the use of an additional electrical connection.
- T ' ⁇ double pilot. : "o ⁇ s pr .: assembly of solenoid valves 1 and 2, can be adapted to any distributor, only by adapting the pneumatic distribution plate E.
