Definitions

  • the present invention relates to techniques of electric-arc deposition when repairing worn-out pieces and hardening new pieces, in particular, to a method of producing a piece or a part provided with a wild deposit and a piece according to the preamble of claims 1 and 10 (see, for example, US 4 484 959 ). It may be advantageously used in any segment of industry, especially in relation to critical pieces working in conditions of variable dynamic forces associated with increased wear and corrosion.
  • the known method comprises the step of applying to the part an overlay in the form of a multiple-layer weld using electric-arc welding by means of a consumable electrode, followed by the steps of machining and tempering the part.
