Description

The present invention relates to a fluid spray head, a dispensing pump comprising such a head and a fluid dispenser comprising such a pump.

Fluid dispensing pumps are well known in the state of the art, in particular for dispensing products in the fields of cosmetics, perfumery or pharmacy. They generally comprise a pump body in which a piston slides to dispense a dose of fluid product with each actuation. In particular with pharmaceutical products, the pumps sometimes include shutters provided at the dispensing orifice. These shutters are intended in particular to prevent contamination of the fluid between two actuations of the pump, and are therefore biased to rest towards their closed position. The presence of such a shutter causes constraints with respect to the spraying of the product. Indeed, when the pump is intended to produce a spray, a spray profile is generally disposed upstream of the spray orifice, this spray profile generally comprising a swirl chamber connected to the spray orifice during dispensing of the product, and at least one non-radial channel which is connected to said swirl chamber. The presence of a shutter complicates the production of the spray profile and especially makes the performance or characteristics of the spray unstable according to the position of said shutter.

US 3,990,640 discloses a fluid spray head according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention aims to provide a fluid spray head that does not reproduce the aforementioned drawbacks.

According to a first variant embodiment of the invention, the swirl chamber is of zero volume in the shutter obturating position, the displacement and / or the deformation of said shutter towards its open position forming said swirl chamber in upstream of said spray orifice and downstream of said at least one non-radial channel.

According to a second variant embodiment, the swirl chamber is of non-zero volume in the closed position of said shutter, the latter passing through said swirl chamber to close off said spray orifice.

Advantageously, the spray profile comprises two non-radial channels arranged symmetrically with respect to the central axis of the pump.

Advantageously, said axial sleeve is integrally formed in the bottom of said spray head.

The present invention also relates to a fluid dispenser pump comprising a spray head as described above.

Advantageously, said pump comprises a pump chamber defining the dose of the product expelled at each actuation, disposed immediately upstream of said spray orifice, said shutter sliding in said pump chamber.

The invention will be described with reference to a particular pump, but it is understood that it applies to all types of pump or valve.

With reference to the figure 1 , the fluid dispenser device comprises a reservoir 60 and a pump mounted on said reservoir by means of a fixing ring 15, with interposition of a seal 65. These elements can be arbitrary and the figure 1 shows only one particular embodiment. The pump comprises a pump body 10 defining a pump or metering chamber 20 containing the product to be dispensed with each actuation of the pump, and in which slides a first piston 72. A dispensing head 40 is mounted on the fixing ring. 15, and the pump chamber 20 is advantageously formed in said head. The pump chamber further comprises an inlet valve 70, and a shutter 38 is provided upstream of the dispensing orifice 45 and cooperating directly therewith between a closed position and a dispensing position. The pump body 10 is advantageously made in one piece with said shutter 38, being formed inside thereof, and the first piston 72 may advantageously be made of a one-piece piece with the fixing ring 15 and the seat 71 of the inlet valve 70. A spring 50, preferably single and preferably out of contact with the fluid, is disposed in the pump to return the first piston 72 to its rest position and the shutter 38 to its closed position after each actuation of the pump. Furthermore, a dip tube 18 is connected to said pump to extend towards the bottom of the tank to distribute all the product contained therein. A spraying profile 100 is provided at the dispensing orifice 45 for spraying the expelled product with each actuation of the pump.

The Figures 2 to 4 represent a first embodiment variant. According to this first embodiment, the end of the spray head 40 which incorporates the spray orifice 45, is narrowed and forms a sleeve 150 in which slides axially shutter 38. This shutter 38 can advantageously be made in one piece with a second piston 34 as visible on the figure 1 . The sleeve 150 is preferably made in one piece in the bottom of the spray head 40 and incorporates the spray profile 100. This spray profile 100 comprises a swirl chamber 101, which is arranged directly upstream of the orifice 45 and which is connected thereto in the dispensing position. The spraying profile 100 also comprises at least one non-radial channel 110, preferably two symmetrically arranged relative to one another about the central axis X of the pump. Of course, any number of channels 110 is possible. These non-radial channels 110 are connected to the swirl chamber 101 when the product is expelled. As visible on Figures 2 to 4 , the non-radial channels are advantageously made at least partially in the side wall of the sleeve 150, preferably over its entire height. This makes it possible to achieve very simply said spray profile without having to add elements at said head. In this variant embodiment, the swirl chamber 101 is of non-zero volume in the closed position represented on the Figures 3 and 4 and said shutter 38 actually moves axially within said swirl chamber 101. The non-radial channels 110 form a portion of the pump chamber 20 and the shutter 38, which forms the outlet valve of the chamber pump 20, when it opens the spray distribution of the product contained in the pump chamber 20 through the spray orifice 45.

The Figures 5 and 6 show an alternative embodiment, wherein the axial sleeve 150 is also integrally formed in the bottom of the head 40, but projecting from said bottom. Similarly, the shutter 38 is made slightly differently, including in particular the shutter element itself which is central and which cooperates directly with the spray orifice 45 but also a peripheral lip surrounding said shutter member and sliding in said axial sleeve 150. The non-radial channels 110 also extend over substantially the entire height of the sleeve axial, with the exception of the upper end portion closed by said shutter 38 in the closed position. In this variant embodiment, the swirl chamber 101 is of substantially zero volume in the closed position and it is during the displacement of the shutter 38 towards its open position that the swirl chamber is created by being connected to the non-radial channels 110 for spraying the product.

The Figures 7 and 8 show an alternative embodiment, in which the shutter 38 fit on the sleeve 150 to limit the dead volume in the closed position. According to the invention, said at least one non-radial channel 110 is oblique in the side wall of the sleeve 150 to bring the product into the swirl chamber 101.

The Figures 9a and 10b represent yet another alternative embodiment, wherein the sleeve 150 is slotted over substantially its entire height, each slot forming a non-radial channel 110. The horizontal sectional views of Figures 9b and 10b show how the shutter fills the dead volume in the closed position and on the contrary opens the spray orifice 45 and the non-radial channels 110 in the spray position.

The implementation of the invention, which advantageously provides for producing the spray channels over approximately the entire height of an axial sleeve formed in the bottom of the head, is advantageous in that it simplifies the manufacture of this profile. spraying at an end portion of the spray head 40 which is traditionally relatively brittle due to the low wall thicknesses existing at these locations. The present invention makes it possible in particular to avoid having to provide channels at the bottom wall of said axial sleeve 150 which comprises the spray orifice 45. On the contrary, the whole of this bottom surface of the axial sleeve 150 forms the swirl chamber 101 when the shutter is in the open position, as shown in FIG. figure 6 .

Although the invention has been described with reference to two embodiments thereof, it is understood that it is not limited by the examples shown, but that a person skilled in the art can make any modifications thereto. useful without departing from the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.
