Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour localiser un terminal téléphonique (IP_Tln) dans le cadre d'une liaison téléphonique exécutée par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau à commutation de paquets (IPNET). A cet effet, un enregistrement du terminal téléphonique (IP-Tln), comprenant le numéro d'appel et des informations de localisation associées, est fait dans un serveur (SER) localisé dans le réseau à commutation de paquets (IPNET). Lorsque, à la suite d'une liaison téléphonique, la localisation du terminal téléphonique (IP-Tln) est déclenchée, la localisation du terminal téléphonique (IP-Tln) grâce au numéro d'appel du terminal téléphonique (IP-Tln), s'effectue par demande de la part du serveur (SER), des informations de localisation associées au numéro d'appel, et la position du terminal téléphonique (IP-Tln) est déterminée grâce aux informations de localisation. L'invention permet de mettre la caractéristique de puissance de la localisation de terminal, connue pour des réseaux TDM, également à la disposition de terminaux téléphoniques connectés directement à un réseau à commutation de paquets.
