Description

The invention relates to a butt joint of angularly connected to one another window, door, facade or roof profiles, comprising a retaining profile, a connection profile and a butt connector, the butt connector comprising two movably interconnected leg parts which are fixed under variable angular positions and of which in the final assembly position, one leg part is fastened to a retaining profile and the other is fastened to a connection profile, so that the butt joint is covered by the connection profile in the final assembly position.

A butt connector of this type is from the company catalog Schüco International, series Royal S 65 under the heading joint T-connector, Issue 9.97, page 5-16 known. In this embodiment, the leg portion which is attached to the retaining profile, an arcuate guide for the slidably guided on this sheet guide other leg portion which engages in the final assembly position in the cavity of the connection profile and there depending on the desired angular position between 45 ° to 90 ° or 90 ° to 135 °. With this butt joint, it is possible to cover a larger angular clamping range in cooperation with normal profile cross sections. However, as the butt connectors must be designed to use them without additional processing and assembly costs as butt connectors for polygonal profiles, this publication is not apparent.

Under polygonal profiles are primarily to understand profiles in which the gasket receptacles are angled from the basic profile cross-section of the profile. Such bends are always necessary if due to special Design of the facades o. The like. Enter the discs or other fillings at the joints under different angles in the profiles. It is necessary that the abutting seals always lie flat against the disc edges to ensure a secure and tight bond.

Similar butt joints are known from the DE 3603717 A1 . US-A 2,848,258 and EP-A 1258577 , All embodiments shown and described there relate to joints for use as pipe clamps for the installation of z. As water pipes, railing handrails or other pipe racks. A concealed in the final assembly position arrangement of pipe clamps and pipe joints is just as little given as the possibility for use as butt joint for window, door, facade and roof profiles.

The object of the invention is to provide a butt joint, which is simple and can be used for the connection of a wide range of standard profiles as well as polygonal profiles, without that during assembly for different angular settings of the profiles to be connected structural adaptation measures are necessary.

This is achieved in a butt connector of the type mentioned above in that both leg parts are hingedly connected by an axis and that the axis is movable in a slot design formed as a slot. With such a connector formed from two leg members hinged together by an axle, it is possible to use one and the same butt connector to connect connection profiles to retaining profiles at different angles, the retaining profiles being able to be both standard profile cross sections and polygonal profile cross sections. Special structural adaptation measures of the cooperating butt connector elements during assembly are not necessary.

Preferably, the holding and / or connecting profiles to be joined hollow profiles, preferably extruded aluminum. It is also possible to design the retaining profiles as a solid profile, while the connection profile appropriate or at least designed as a partially open profile, because the latter is slipped over the front end of the butt connector and connected to the retaining profile, so that the butt connector is covered in the final assembly position of the connection profile.

An important feature of the invention is seen in the fact that the slot has a straight course and the longitudinal center plane of the elongated hole is substantially perpendicular to the contact surface of the attached to the holding profile leg portion. In this case, preferably, the slot is part of the attached to the holding profile leg portion. Preferably, the axle receiving leg portion has an outer fixed point or a stop edge, which is congruent in any angular position of the profiles to be joined with a predetermined bending edge of the retaining profile. The fixed point expediently forms a stop edge at the same time. This voltage applied to the bending edge of the retaining profile abutment edge of the hinge part takes over the function of an otherwise conventional drilling template for fixing the leg to be fixed to the holding profile leg part. The bending edge of the retaining profile is substantially congruent with a bent edge of the seal receptacle, wherein suitably the bending edge of the seal receptacle is located approximately at the level of the base web of the Dichtungsäufnahme. Characterized in that, according to another important feature of the invention, the end face of the connection profile approximately at the height of the seal receptacle, depending on the angular position between the holding profile and the connection profile, cut such that the bending edge of the holding profile, the apex-cutting edge of the connection profile and the stop edge of the axle receiving leg portion are substantially congruent, not only saves a drilling template for mounting, but also a template for adjusting the angle between the two leg parts and the positioning of the axle receiving leg portion of the mounting profile.

Even if the slot is preferably straight, according to the invention, a slight arcuate course should not be excluded. Preferably, the leg portion having the slot on at least two mutually angled limbs, of which one leg forms the mounting leg on the retaining profile and the other leg having the slot, engages in the axle having leg portion. Appropriately, the leg portion having the axle has an approximately U-shaped cross-section, in the two legs of the axis is mounted, which penetrates the slot of the other leg portion in the assembled position of the leg portions and is movably guided in this. Advantageously, the fixing point or the stop edge is part of the axle receiving leg cross section and formed by a material projection. This is expediently wedge-shaped in cross-section and has a cross-sectional profiling for receiving a sealing profile between the butt connector and the retaining profile. This makes it possible to effectively seal the butt connector relative to the retaining profile. According to another important feature, the axle receiving leg portion has a bore for receiving a fixing pin, which fixes the two leg portions in a predetermined angular position in the final assembly position. In this case, the fixing pin in the assembly position of the leg parts advantageously extends substantially parallel to the axis and abuts against the leg portion containing the slot. According to a further feature, the U-shaped leg portion transverse to the axis extending screw channels whose decency is always the same to the fixing point or to the stop edge of the leg portion. This ensures that regardless of the respective angular positions between the support profiles and the connection profiles, the holding profile can be pre-drilled with a drilling template to fix the retaining profile in the congruent screw channels of the associated leg portion through these holes.

In the figure 1, the butt joint region of two angularly adjoining consisting of extruded aluminum profiles hollow sections is shown, of which the profile 1 is referred to as a holding profile and the profile 2 as a connection profile. Such profile connections are common in windows, doors, facades, roof structures and the like .. In the profile connection according to the figure 1, two standard profiles are connected together. A standard profile is understood to be a commercially available cross-sectional profile 1 in which the side walls 3, 4 of the seal receivers 5, 6 and the outer sides 7, 8 of the profile 1 lie in one plane. In contrast, Figures 4 to 8 are deviating from a standard profile so-called polygonal profiles 9, in which the outer walls 10, 11 of the seal receivers 12, 13 always extend at an angle to the outer walls 14, 15 of the basic profile cross-section. This angle can be different. The illustration according to FIG. 6 has the greatest angular deviation a, while the cross sections according to FIGS. 7 and 8 have smaller angular deviations which likewise differ slightly between these two figures.

Common to all representations is that always one and the same butt connector can be used. The butt joint according to the invention can be used not only in standard holding profiles 1, in which the walls 3, 4 of the seal receivers and the outer walls 7, 8 of the remaining cross-section lie in one plane, but also in each type of polygonal profiles according to the model of FIGS to 8. Each designated as a whole with 16 butt joint comprises two leg portions 17, 18 which are hingedly interconnected by an axis 19. The axis 19 is guided in a trained as a slot 20 slotted guide, the side walls have a straight course. The longitudinal center plane 21 of the slot 20 extends substantially perpendicular to the outer walls 8, 15 of the retaining profile 1, 9. As can be seen from the drawings, the slot 20 is always part of the attached to the support section 1, 9 leg portion 17. As will be explained , The axis 19 takes in each different angular position of two profiles to be connected 1, 9 with 2, 9 'in the slot 20 a different position.

The elongated hole 20 having leg portion 17 has two mutually angled legs 22, 23, of which one leg 22 forms the mounting leg on the support section 1, 9 and the other leg 23 has the axis 19 in the leg portion. This latter leg portion 18 has a slightly U-shaped cross section, in the two legs 24, 25, the axis is mounted. The axis 19 penetrates in the assembled position of the leg portions 17, 18, the slot 20 and is movably guided between the two hinge parts in the slot. Figures 2, 6, 7 and 8 clearly show that the axis 19 in different angular positions between the connection profiles and the holding profiles always take a different position in the slot 20. In the Figures 1 and 2, in which the connection profile 2 abuts perpendicular to the retaining profile 1, the axis 19 is located at the of the wall 8 of the holding profile 1 farthest end stop, while the axis 19 in the figure 6, a position on the inner to Holding profile 9 closest end stop of the slot 20 occupies. In Figures 7 and 8 respectively intermediate positions of the axis 19 are shown in the slot 20 between the outer end stop and the inner end stop.

The axle 19 receiving leg portion 18 has a stop edge 26 which is congruent in any angular position of the profiles to be connected 1, 2 or 9, 9 'with a predetermined bending edge 27 (Figures 4, 5) of the holding section 9. Such creases occur in so-called polygonal profiles, in which the seal receivers 12, 13 are angled relative to the outer walls 14, 15 of the basic profile cross-section. Therefore, in standard profiles according to Figures 1 and 2, such a bending edge does not exist. Nevertheless, however, the same butt joint can be used in these cases as in polygonal profiles. The buckling edge 27 of the seal holder 12, 13 is always located approximately at the height of the base web of the seal receiver. The stop edge 26 of the leg portion 18 is formed by a material projection 28 which extends approximately wedge-shaped in cross section. This material projection is profiled so that it is suitable for receiving a sealing profile strand, not shown, which seals the butt connector relative to the retaining profile 1, 9 in the final assembly position of the joint connector. The U-shaped leg portion 18 has transverse to the axis 19 extending screw 29, in which after fitting the connection profiles 2, 9 'by corresponding provided in the connection profiles, not shown holes connecting pins or screws are screwed to the To fix connection profiles to the butt connectors. The leg portion 18 also has a bore 29 for receiving a fixing pin 30, by means of which in a final assembly position, the two leg portions 17, 18 can be fixed against each other. The fixing pin extends in the illustrated example substantially parallel to the axis 19 and presses in each mounting position on the leg 23 of the leg portion 17 at.

9.From the figures 4, 5 it can be seen that the end face 31 of the connection profile 9 'is cut at an angle approximately at the height of the seal holder 13. This gate is selected so that the bending edge 27 of the retaining profile 9, the outer vertex-cutting edge 31 'of the connection profile 9' and the stop edge 26 of the leg portion 18 are substantially congruent. The apex cutting edge 31 is cut and angled so that the end face of the connection profile 9 'in the final assembly position always fits tightly against the outer wall 11, 15 of the retaining profile 9. It is important that the stop edge 26 assumes a fixing function with respect to the bent edge, regardless of whether the stop edge 26 is a continuous edge or a fixing point. The screws 32 (FIG. 9) serve to fix the leg 22 of the leg part 17 to the retaining profiles 1 and 9, respectively.
