Abstract

The device has a central zone (1) constituting a base after assembling the device. The zone has flaps (1 3) that are cut to form splits (4), where the device is made of a carton blank. Envelop flaps of the zone have outer and inner walls (2 5, 2 4) articulated to each other and separated by a transition zone (2 7). The wall (2 5) has cuts (2 8) forming seats for a rack to receive and align individual tart portions in a standing posture.

Description

The invention relates to a display stand for exposing, standing up, fresh culinary products, such as individual portions of pastry, especially pies.

The vertical exposure of individual portions of culinary products, such as pastry parts, raises a major problem related to the display rack, including their size and storage.

As they are in fact three-dimensional, non-nestable and can be at best stacked display racks, their storage is not without raising serious congestion problems.

The invention therefore proposes a display having the particularity of being delivered flat to be made in its final form, only on the place of exposure, said display can then eventually resume its original form.

Furthermore, it is known, to make attractive products for sale, to present said products standing and oriented to the consumer / buyer. Thus, at a glance the consumer can apprehend the shape and appearance of the product.

A disadvantage of culinary products, such as individual pie portions, is that they have a weight and dimensions tending to make their standing unstable. The culinary products then tilt most often, forwards or backwards due to the uneven distribution of their mass on the display.

The document US 6,152,305 describes a display for the exhibition of packaged products. The document FR 1 438 550 describes a display for the exhibition of flat objects. The display unit described by each of these last two documents consists of a blank of cut and grooved material, comprising a central area to constitute after assembly the base of the display. This central area has on two opposite sides an articulated flap, and on two other opposite sides orthogonal flap. The flap includes cutouts forming the seats of a rack for receiving and aligning, standing up, packaged goods or flat objects.

An object of the invention is to provide a display capable of stably maintaining products whatever their shape and mass.

For this, the carton blank according to the invention, intended to form a display, has at the flaps having the slots, or cutouts, in which the products are slid, a transition zone tending to increase the seating of the products maintained while standing. More specifically, such flaps allow, after folding, to provide a transition zone on either side of the items on display. The transition zones extend in a plane parallel to the plane containing the central area forming the stand of the display stand. The presence of these transition zones makes it possible to stabilize the entire display equipped with articles such as individual portions of pastries, of triangular shape, which can be heavy and thick. Indeed, once folded, the cardboard blank has a width greater than the largest side of the triangular shape of the individual portions of pastry.

The invention therefore relates to a display for the display of fresh culinary products, particularly individual portions of pastry, preferably placed in sealed packaging, said display being constituted by a blank of cardboard cut and grooved, comprising a central area to constitute after assembly the base of the display unit, this central area having on two opposite sides an articulated flap, and on two other opposite orthogonal sides a flap, comprising cutouts forming the seats of a rack for receiving and aligning, in standing position, the portions individual, characterized in that each flap comprises two walls articulated to each other and separated by a transition zone, the cuts being formed on the end wall.

According to the embodiment, the central area of the cardboard blank is of quadrangular shape, for example square, and comprises, on the one hand, on two of its opposite edges, a flap, each of whose two ends is provided with a folding wing, on the other hand, on its other two opposite sides orthogonal, a flap formed of two walls, articulated to one another, the outermost walls being provided with elongated openings, parallel, and equidistant, forming , after folding in the display rack, the seats of the rack, the distal ends of these two opposite walls being of complementary profile to interlock with one another.

As visible on the figure 1 , the display, according to the invention, is made from a blank of cardboard cut and grooved to allow achieve, easily and without tools, its setting in conformation on the place even of the exhibition. Thus, displays can be delivered flat in a minimum footprint in conjunction with culinary products and eventually be returned to flat after use for storage in the perspective of reuse.

The cardboard blank consists essentially of a central area 1, of quadrangular shape, for example square or rectangular, of which two opposite sides or edges 1 ₁ , 1 ₂ are provided with flaps 1 ₃ folding. The two ends of each of the shutters 1 ₃ are cut and grooved to form foldable wings 1 ₄ , the articulation being around the grooving lines 1 ₅ .

The other two opposite sides orthogonal 2 _1, 2 ₂ of the central area 1 comprises a flap 2 ₃ shapes of two walls 2 _4, 2 ₅ hinged to each other by two crease lines _{6 February.} The two crease lines 2 ₆ define therebetween a transition zone 2. ₇ The outermost wall ₂₅ , or end wall, has openings ₂₈ , or cutouts, elongate parallel and equidistant from each other. The cuts extend over the entire width of the end wall ₂₅ . By width of the end wall is meant the dimension of said wall extending from the end flange to the transition zone ₂₇ . Advantageously, the cuts ₂₈ extend over the transition zone ₂₇ in that they extend therein, extending over a partial width of the transition zone ₂₇ . By width of the transition zone ₂₇ , is meant the dimension of said transition zone ₂₇ extending from the grooving line separating it from the end wall ₂₅ to the grooving line separating it from the second wall 2 ₄ of the flap 2 ₃ .

The distal ends ₂₉ of the end walls ₂₅ have complementary profiles to interlock with one another at the end of folding.

In this case, these distal ends ₂₉ are notched, the ribs of one of the two ends corresponding to the grooves of the other end.

The cardboard blanks thus cut and grooved can be delivered flat in the form of stackings and can be folded easily on site by any operator, even non-specialized to form the display units according to the invention.

It is sufficient to raise the shutters 1 ₃ in vertical position relative to the base 1, by folding around the grooving lines 1 ₁ , then to fold back to right angle inwards wings 1 ₄ by pivoting 90 degrees around grooving lines 1 ₅ .

The flaps formed by the walls ₂₄ , _{25 are} then folded inwards. For this, we start by raising the inner walls 2 ₄ , folding the cardboard blank at the groove line 2 ₁ separating the central area 1 of the inner wall 2 ₄ of the flap. And cooled the outer wall 2 ₅ of the flap towards the center of the central area 1, by folding the blank of cardboard on the one hand at the scoring line June ₂ between the transition zone 2 ₇ and the wall 2 inner flap _4, and secondly at the level of the scoring line June ₂ between the transition zone 2 ₇ and the outer wall 2 ₅ flap. This gives the three-dimensional display as shown in FIG. figure 2 .

It is observed at this stage that the shutters 1 ₃ and their respective wings 1 ₄ were raised and folded, and that the flaps 2 ₄ , 2 ₅ were folded inside the display (note: the flap of the right side is during folding).

The end of shaping, the inner walls extend perpendicularly to the base 1, while the two transitional regions extend parallel to the base 1. The outer walls 2 flaps ₅ occupy a position slightly inclined towards the base 1, and their distal ends ₂₉ are nested one inside the other to form a continuous junction. Two glue points are then sufficient for the display to be held in its three-dimensional position.

In the example, the individual portions are sector-shaped and the angle of inclination of the outer converging walls 2 and ₅ of the cardboard blank, after folding and coupling coincides with the angle of the triangular tip of the individual packages so that the peripheral edge 3 ₁ of the packaging 3, in the form of lips, comes to be housed in the openings ₂₈ forming the seats of the rack that constitutes this display. Thus, by simple threading and sliding in these openings ₂₈ , the individual portions are maintained without further artifice, aligned in a standing position, while remaining perfectly visible to the consumer. Indeed, the side flaps 1 ₃ are advantageously cut to form notches 4 allowing good visibility of the products on display.

The display can be taken off, flattened and stored for a new use.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, the essential point being that the display is at a minimum cost, it can be delivered flat and includes, in itself, the means to be consistent, without other fixing artifice, on the place of exposure, including by non-specialists and that it finally allows a good exposure and a good maintenance of the products.

Claims (7)

1. Display for showing fresh culinary products for sale, notably individual cake portions, said display being composed of a cut-out and grooved cardboard blank comprising a central area (1) for forming after the assembly the base of the display, this central area (1) comprising on two opposite sides an articulated flap (1₃), and on two other opposite and orthogonal sides (2₁, 2₂) a side flap (2₃) comprising cut-out parts (2₈) forming the seats of a rack for receiving and aligning in an upright position the individual portions (3), each side flap comprising two walls (2₅, 2₄) articulated relatively to each other and separated by a transition zone (2₇), characterized in that each side flap is provided with a distal extremity (2₉), said distal extremities having complementary profiles to be fitted into each other after the end walls are turned down inwardly, and in that the grooved walls are maintained with an angle of inclination which coincides, after the folding, with the angle of the triangular tip of the culinary products, theses grooved walls forming together a rack for culinary products.
2. Display according to claim 1, characterized in that the distal extremities are toothed, the ribs of one distal extremity corresponding to the grooves of the other distal extremity so that they can be fitted into each other once the folding is over.
3. Display according to anyone of the claims 1 to 2, characterized in that each articulated flap is provided with a folding wing (1₄) at two opposite extremities, said wings being intended to be folded inwardly at right angles.
4. Display according to anyone of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the central area of the cardboard blank has a quadrangular shape.
5. Display according to anyone of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the cut-out parts are in the form of long lines parallel to each other.
6. Display according to anyone of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cut-out parts are equidistant.
7. Display according to anyone of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the articulated flaps comprise notches (4) for a better display of the products for sale.
