La présente invention concerne un colis contenant tous les éléments constitutifs d'une fenêtre à deux vantaux ainsi qu'un procédé pour réaliser un tel colis. Par fenêtre à deux vantaux, il faut comprendre toute fenêtre et porte-fenêtre qui s'ouvre en deux parties. On connaît des kits de fenêtres qui comprennent tous les éléments constitutifs du cadre et du dormant, qui sont généralement dans ce cas en bois : l'utilisateur doit non seulement monter le cadre et le dormant, mais aussi fournir le vitrage dont le coût rend un tel kit peu intéressant sur le plan économique par rapport à un fenêtre toute montée. De plus, de tels kits présentent un défaut rédhibitoire dans la mesure où l'étanchéité s'est révélée mal assurée. Aussi un des buts de la présente invention est-il de fournir un colis contenant tous les éléments constitutifs d'une fenêtre à deux vantaux, qui permet de monter cette fenêtre sans apport d'autres éléments le constituant. Un autre but de l'invention est de fournir un tel colis cjui est compact, régulier et auto-portant. Un but supplémentaire est de fournir un procédé qui permet de réaliser un tel colis à un coût économique satisfaisant. Ces buts, ainsi que d'autres qui apparaîtront par la suite, sont atteints par un colis contenant tous les éléments qui constituent une fenêtre à savoir, d'une part, un vantail gauche et un vantail droit, et d'autre part un dormant comprenant un montant gauche du dormant, un montant droit du dormant; une traverse haute du dormant, une traverse basse du dormant et une bavette, lequel colis est caractérisé, selon la présente invention, par le fait que les vantaux comportent un vitrage, que le vantail droit sur lequel est engondé le montant droit du dormant, est disposé sur le vantail gauche sur lequel est engondé le montant gauche du dormant, ces deux montants constituant deux côtés opposés du colis, la traverse basse du dormant recouverte de la bavette étant placée sur la partie du vantail gauche non recouverte par le vantail droit et la traverse haute du dormant étant disposée sous le montant droit du dormant contre le vantail gauche, qu'il comprend des moyens de protection, et que tous les éléments sont de même largeur. Avantageusement, le vantail droit est décalé par rapport au vantail gauche de la largeur de la traverse basse du dormant. De préférence, la bavette est emboîtée sur la face de la traverse basse du dormant dénommé parement intérieur.
