  • the lid 20 is preferably constructed in plastic material, transparent or not, comprising a sealing portion 21 of adequate construction, so as to be removably seated and retained in the seat 16, said sealing portion 21 presenting an external edge 21b which is seated on the upper end 13 of the tubular body 10 of the can.
  • the lid 20 further comprises, in a single piece with the sealing portion 21, a tamper evident portion 25 having a lower skirt 25a which is generally tightly seated around a circumferential extension of the upper end 13 of the tubular body 10, more particularly its double seam 14, and presenting an upper end 25b which is incorporated, by means of manually breakable bridges 26, to the external edge 21b of the sealing portion 21.
  • the bridges 26 connect the upper end 25b of the lower skirt 25a with the external edge 21b of the sealing portion 21 in points which are angularly spaced apart.
  • the bridges 26 are broken when submitted to a certain pulling force, which separates the tamper evident portion 25 from the sealing portion 21, upon the first opening of the lid 20.
  • the tamper evident portion 25 presents an interruption 25c, in its circumferential extension, extending along at least part of the height of the lower skirt 25a, said interruption 25c defining a certain circumferential spacing between respective confronting edges of the lower skirt 25a, on both sides of the interruption 25c.
  • the sealing portion 21 incorporates a gripping tab 27, axially downwardly projecting through said interruption 25c of the tamper evident portion 25, for example remaining substantially leveled with the lower skirt 25a.
  • the gripping tab 27 projects along the whole axial extension of the lower skirt 25a, but it can also project axially inferiorly beyond the axial extension of the lower skirt 25a.
  • the tamper evident portion 25 comprises at least one breakable lock 28, connecting the griping tab 27 with the lower skirt 25a.
  • the gripping tab 27 is manually operable only upon the rupture of part of the tamper evident portion 25, for example, upon the rupture of each breakable rod 28.
  • the lower skirt 25a incorporates the ends of a bridge 25d, circumferentially extended over the interruption 25c of the tamper evident portion 25 and over the gripping tab 27.
  • the bridge 25d presents a first end 25e, which is incorporated to the lower skirt 25a by connecting means 25f, which are broken when said first end 25e is forced away from the lower skirt 25a, for example, by being pulled radially outwardly from, in order to liberate the manual access to the gripping tab 27.
  • the bridge 25d has its first end 25e superposed to said lower skirt 25a and incorporated to the latter by two connecting means 25f, which are circumferentially spaced from each other.
  • the gripping tab 27 is inferiorly incorporated to the bridge 25d through a breakable lock 28, in the form of one or more axial bridges, which are manually broken upon the first opening of the lid.
  • the provision of the gripping tab 27 allows the sealing portion 21 to be easily removed from its seating condition on the seat 16, and also a controlled and progressive opening of the can, first in the region adjacent to the gripping tab 27, and subsequently in the remaining of the seat, preventing the stored product from being inadvertently taken out from the can.
  • the gripping tab 27 may present one of the massive and at least partially perforated forms, defining a tag, such as in the illustrated construction.
  • gripping tab 27 can be massive and formed from a respective portion of the lower skirt 25a, remaining perfectly leveled with the latter and maintaining a gap 29 therebetween.
  • the external edge 21b of the sealing portion 21 incorporates a small cylindrical lower flap 21c, which surrounds, preferably tightly, a circumferential extension of the upper end 13 of the tubular body 10 and from which the bridges 26 depend, being inferiorly incorporated to the upper end 25b of the lower skirt 25a.
  • the lower skirt 25a may incorporate a circumferential internal projection 25h, axially spaced from the external edge 21b of the sealing portion 21 and which is dimensioned to be seated and axially locked under the double seam 14 at the upper end 13 of the tubular body 10 and around the latter.
  • the external edge 21b of the sealing portion 21 incorporates an upper circumferential rib 25g, continuous or defined in segments and which projects over the upper end 13 of the tubular body 10, so as to be loosely and telescopically fitted externally or internally to the lower end 11 of another tubular body 10 stacked over said tubular body 10.

Claims (7)

  1. Couvercle en plastique (20) pour boîte métallique du type qui comprend un corps tubulaire (10) ayant une extrémité inférieure (11) et une extrémité supérieure (13) qui fixe, par un double sertissage (14), une paroi annulaire (15) dans laquelle est définie un siège (16) pour l'assise hermétique du couvercle (20) qui comprend, d'une seule pièce, une partie d'étanchement (21), assise et retenue de manière amovible dans le siège (16) et qui est pourvue d'un bord externe (21b) faisant saillie radialement vers l'extérieur du siège (16) ; une partie d'inviolabilité (25) comprenant une jupe inférieure (25a), destinée à être assise autour d'une partie de l'extrémité supérieure (13) du corps tubulaire (10) et qui est incorporée, supérieurement, via des ponts (26), au bord externe (21b) de la partie d'étanchement (21), la partie d'inviolabilité (25) présentant une interruption (25c) s'étendant le long d'au moins une partie de la hauteur de la jupe inférieure (25a), la partie d'étanchement (21) incluant, d'une seule pièce et à son bord externe (21b), une patte de préhension (27) faisant saillie via ladite interruption (25c) de la partie d'inviolabilité (25), lesdits ponts (26) étant rompus lorsque soumis à une certaine force de traction, qui sépare la partie d'inviolabilité (25) de la partie d'étanchement (21) lors de la première ouverture du couvercle (20), lesdits ponts (26) étant disposés axialement autour d'une extension circonférentielle de l'extrémité supérieure (13) du corps tubulaire (10), afin de relier un bord supérieur (25b) de la jupe inférieure (25a) avec le bord externe (21b) de la partie d'étanchement (21) en des points qui sont espacés angulairement, la patte de préhension (27) étant sensiblement de niveau avec la jupe inférieure (25a), gardant un espace (29) entre elles, caractérisé en ce que la jupe inférieure (25a) inclut les extrémités d'un pont (25d), s'étendant de manière circonférentielle sur l'interruption (25c) de la partie d'inviolabilité (25) et sur la patte de préhension (27).
  2. Amélioration selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que l'extrémité externe (21b) de la partie d'étanchement (21) inclut un petit volet inférieur cylindrique (21c) entourant une extension circonférentielle de l'extrémité supérieure (13) du corps tubulaire (10) d'où pendent les ponts (26).
  3. Amélioration selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la jupe inférieure (25a) inclut une saillie circonférentielle interne (25h), espacée axialement du bord externe (21b) de la partie d'étanchement (21) et qui est dimensionnée de façon à être assise et verrouillée axialement sous le double sertissage (14), autour du corps tubulaire (10).
  4. Amélioration selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la partie d'inviolabilité (25) comprend au moins un verrou susceptible de rupture (28) reliant la patte de préhension (27) à la jupe inférieure (25a).
  5. Amélioration selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'une première extrémité (25e) desdites extrémités du pont (25d) est incorporée à la jupe inférieure (25a) via des moyens de connexion (25f) qui sont rompus lorsque ladite première extrémité (25e) est forcée à l'écart de la jupe inférieure (25a), afin de libérer l'accès manuel à la patte de préhension (27).
  6. Amélioration selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que le pont (25d) a sa première extrémité (25e) superposée à la jupe inférieure (25a) et incorporée à celle-ci par deux moyens de connexion (25f) qui sont espacés sur la circonférence.
  7. Amélioration selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que l'extrémité supérieure (21b) de la partie d'étanchement (21) inclut une nervure supérieure circonférentielle (25g), faisant saillie sur l'extrémité supérieure (13) du corps tubulaire (10), afin de s'emboîter avec jeu et de manière télescopique dans l'extrémité inférieure (11) d'un autre corps tubulaire (10) empilé sur ledit corps tubulaire (10).
