Abstract

The method involves spacing front storage stoppers (3) of a receiving slide-frame to permit a passage of grippers (5a) of a gripper bar (5) between the stoppers. The bar is inclined around a cross shaft, to lower the grippers below respective upper edges of the stoppers, while simultaneously opening the grippers, to separate a full sheet from the grippers by bringing a front edge of the sheet against the stoppers. An independent claim is also included for a full sheet receiving station of a plate like components transformation machine.

Description

The present invention relates to a method and to a full sheet receiving station of a plate element processing machine comprising a receiving frame provided with storage stops and transverse clip bars whose respective ends are integral with two respective flexible drive elements in the form of endless loops for transporting the sheets in operation.

When cutting sheets or sheets of cardboard in a cutting press, depending on the type of work done on the press, it is possible to collect the packs separately in the form of separate piles or to receive the solid sheet, in particular if the latter must still go into a machine to undergo another operation, after cutting the sheet and before the separation of the poses.

In the first case, the leading edges of the respective sheets are pinched in the grippers of the gripper bar of the sheet-carrying device and the waste of the sheet, after separation of the layers, is driven by the gripper bar towards the position of the gripper bar. 'waste disposal.

In the second case, the sheet is released by the clip bar and an ejector pushes it back against its leading edge to pull it out of the clamps and stack it on a single storage stack formed between set vertical storage stops. in the format of the sheets to be stacked.

The use of a conventional ejector is required to stop the sheet from being pulled out of the clamp bar clamps. However, the ejector must be animated by a movement of meaning contrary to that of the sheet to come to meet it by passing between the clamps of the clamp bar at the moment when these clamps open, from where the recoil motion printed on the sheet when it stops. Given the kinetic energy of the latter when it encounters the ejector, this abrupt stop with recoil motion produces a deformation of the sheet that propagates like a wave through it. This wave deformation has the risk of breaking attachment points connecting the previously cut poses to the sheet or between them, which is obviously not desirable since these points are intended to maintain the integrity of the sheet, despite the cutting of the poses, until the moment chosen to separate them.

The object of the present invention is to reduce the deformation of the leaves at the time of their stop to stack them in the receiving frame of the receiving station of the processing machine.

To this end, this invention firstly relates to a method of receiving a solid sheet in a receiving station of a plate element processing machine according to claim 1. This invention also relates to a full sheet receiving station of a plate element processing machine according to claim 2.

With the method according to the present invention, the leaf ejector is removed, so that the leaves are no longer subject to a recoil movement communicated to them by the ejector. This full sheet receiving mode substantially reduces the deformation of the sheet induced by its deceleration during its stop, since it is no longer subject to a backward movement and therefore the risk of breaking the points of attachment connecting the cut-out poses in the sheet.

Advantageously, the first and second cams of the receiving station are removably mounted relative to the trajectory of said clip bars to enable this station to work according to the poses separation mode, in which the clips of the clip bar must remain closed to evacuate the waste portion of the sheet secured to the clamps of the gripper bar.

The attached drawing illustrates, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of a receiving station of a sheet converting machine, object of the present invention, adapted to the implementation of the method, another object of this invention.

La figure 1 est une vue partielle en perspective de cette station de réception pleine feuille;Figure 1 is a partial perspective view of this full sheet receiving station;

As a preamble to the description which follows, it is specified that the terms sheet, plate or plate element apply indistinctly to sheets of paper, solid or corrugated cardboard, plastic or laminates. The processing machine is in particular a machine for cutting blanks in plate elements.

In view of the fact that both sides of the full-sheet receiving station of the described machine are symmetrical, at least with regard to the elements useful for understanding the invention, only the driver side of this receiving station is shown in Figure 1 and is described. The reference figures for the elements on both sides of the receiving station are accompanied by the letters "a", "b" for the driver-side elements, respectively on the opposite side to the driver. For this reason, the reference numbers accompanied by the letter "b", do not appear in the drawing, but are indicated in the text to mention the elements symmetrical to those visible on the driver's side of the receiving station.

The receiving station SR of the plate-forming machine illustrated in part by FIG. 1 comprises a frame 1 on which a full-leaf receiving drawer frame 2 is mounted slidingly, provided with spaced front storage stops 3. others to allow the passage of the clamps of the clamp bar, as will be explained later. This frame-drawer 2 is slidably mounted on the support for receiving the lower tool for separating poses, when the receiving station does not receive full sheets, but separate poses.

The frame 1 still carries two chains in parallel endless loops 4a, 4b arranged laterally on either side of the path of the sheets in the processing machine. These chains 4a, 4b are engaged in the usual manner with chain wheels (not shown) and are driven by one of them engaged with the drive motor (not shown) of the machine. These chains 4a, 4b are integral with the two respective ends of clamp bars 5 which extend transversely to the path of the sheets in the processing machine and therefore parallel to the transverse edges of these sheets. The clamps 5a of the clamp bar 5 are directed towards the rear of the clamp bar with respect to the transport direction F of these sheets and serve to pinch the leading edges of the sheets for transporting them through the processing machine. The lower arms of these clamps 5a are fixed, while their upper arms are integral with a transverse support shaft 7.

Les bras supérieurs des pinces 5a sont pressés de manière élastique en position de fermeture des pinces 5a par des ressorts de rappel 12.The connection between the ends of the gripper bar 5 and the chains 4a, 4b is obtained by two respective connecting pieces 11a, 11b which also serve as a pivot bearing at the respective ends of the transverse support shaft 7 which still passes through. support bearings (not shown) distributed along the clamp bar 5. The upper arms of the clamps 5a are resiliently pressed in the closed position of the clamps 5a by return springs 12.

The full sheet receiving station SR comprises, on the respective trajectories of two rollers 7a, 7b carried by the ends of the support shaft 7 of the clamps 5a of the clamp bar 5 and at the downstream end of this station, two lowering cams 6a, 6b of the support shaft 7 of the gripper bar 5. This lowering of the support shaft 7 causes a pull on the chains 4a, 4b which makes it possible to lower the rear part of the bar clamps 5 of a few mm. In addition to guiding the chains 4a, 4b by the chain wheels (not shown), fixed guides 8a, 8b are arranged on the internal side of the trajectories of these chains 4a, 4b, at the output of the receiving station SR, where the respective trajectories of these chains 4a, 4b become curved.

The downstream transverse portion of the drawer frame 2 carries at least one, preferably two lower cams 9a, 9b for opening the clamps 5a of the clamp bar 5. These lower cams 9a, 9b are respectively close to the ends of this downstream transverse part of the drawer frame 2, on the respective trajectories of two opening rollers 10a, 10b of the upper branches of the clamps 5a. These opening rollers 10a, 10b are pivotally mounted on pins 16a, 16b parallel to the support shaft 7 of the upper arms of the clamps 5a of the clamp bar 5, and are connected by a lever 15 to the support shaft 7, allowing it to rotate about its longitudinal axis by driving the upper arms of the clamps 5a, against the pressure of the return springs 12 and to discard these branches upper branches, as illustrated in particular in Figure 2.

It should be noted that the level of the upper cams 6a, 6b is located so that the rear ends of the clamps 5a pass below the upper edges of the front storage stops 3 of the full-leaf receiving frame 2, as illustrated in particular by FIG. 2. The level of the lower cams 9a, 9b is also chosen so that the lowering of the rear part of the gripper bar 5 presses the opening rollers 10a, 10b of the grippers 5a against the lower cams 9a, 9b, causing the clamps 5a to open when they pass between the front storage stops 3. As a result, the sheets held by the clamps 5a are held by the storage stops 3, which are static, unlike the ejectors which have a movement opposite that of leaves. Therefore, thanks to the full sheet receiving method according to the invention, the lowering of the rear portion of the clamp bar 5 opens the clamps, which in itself is done on all the clamp bars, but the originality comes from the fact that this opening is obtained at the moment when the clamps 5a of the clamp bar 5 are at the same time lowered and pass between the storage stops before 3 of the storage frame-drawer 2, allowing these stops of Stowage 3 to further fill the role of static ejector of the full sheets.

This ejection mode substantially reduces the deformation wave of the sheet, resulting from its shutdown, because only the sheet moves, while the stops 3 are fixed, unlike the conventional ejector that moves in the opposite direction of the sheet.

When the station is to receive the blanks cut from the sheet as separate blanks, the drawer frame 2 must be removed from the side of the machine and replaced by the lower blanking tool. Since the lower cams 9a, 9b of the opening of the clamps 5a of the clamp bars 5 are integral with the frame-drawer 2, the removal thereof also causes that of these cams 9a, 9b.

On the other hand, the upper cams 6a, 6b of lowering the support shaft 7 of the grippers 5a of the gripper bar 5 must be retracted to prevent collision of the gripper bars 5 with the lower parting separation tool. For this purpose, each upper cam 6a, 6b is connected to the frame 1 by a pivot axis 13. Two tappings (not shown) formed in the frame and located on an arc of a circle centered on the pivot axis 13 of each cam upper 6a, 6b are intended to selectively receive a threaded rod 14 controlled by a handle 14a secured to its outer end. When the respective threaded rods are screwed by means of the handles 14a into the respective lower threads of the frame, the upper cams 6a, 6b are in their respective lowered positions, corresponding to the full sheet receiving. When these same threaded rods 14 are screwed into the upper tapping of the frame, the cams 6a, 6b are in their raised positions and do not come into contact with the clamp bars 5, corresponding to the reception with separation of the poses.

Although it has been described above, manually operated means for switching on or off the cams 6a, 6b for lowering the clamp bar, it would be possible to use a control by cylinder or motor, for example, in place of the manual control. Similarly, one could also imagine another type of manual control than that described.
