Claims (8)

  1. Chair (1) with a seat (3) and with a mechanical system for tilt adjustable fixing of the seat (3) to a seat support (7) connected to a central column (4), in which the mechanical system encompasses a toggle arrangement (17), in which the toggle arrangement (17) encompasses a first lever (22) on a stationary central axis (14) fixed to the seat (3) and a second lever (23) articulated on a stationary axis of rotation (19) on the seat support (7), in which both levers (22, 23) are articulatedly connected to each other on a shiftable axis of rotation (20) and in which means (18, 25, 26, 27, 28) are provided for connecting the shiftable axis of rotation (20) with the seat (3), characterised in that the shiftable axis of rotation (20) is connected to a torsion bar (18) via a telescopable element (25, 26, 27) and a further lever (28), in which the further lever (28) is connected to the torsion bar (18) in a manner in which twisting is prevented.
  2. Chair according to claim 1, characterised in that the telescopable element is constituted by a pin (26), which can be introduced into a receiving element (25) against the force of a compression spring (27).
  3. Chair according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that a mechanical system is provided for adjusting the tilt of a backrest (2).
  4. Chair according to claim 3, characterised in that the backrest (2) is connected to a slide block (11) via a backrest support (8), the slide block being shiftably supported on the seat (3).
  5. Chair according to claim 4, characterised in that an arcuate bar (12) is provided, which is supported on the slide block (11).
  6. Chair according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that a slide block (11) respectively is attached to one side of the seat (3) opposite to the other slide block (11) and that both slide blocks (11) are fixed to the central axis (14) via one fastener each (13).
  7. Chair according to claim 6, characterised in that the first lever (22) of the toggle arrangement (17) is connected to the rotatable central axis (14) in a torque proof manner.
  8. Chair according to claim 4 to 6, characterised in that a gas spring (16) is provided for locking the slide block (11).
