Claims (17)

  1. A stitcher with a stitching cylinder (01) bearing at least one stitching head (02) and a closing cylinder (07) serving as an abutment surface during stitching, each of which are rotatable about an axis of rotation (A; D) and define between them a gap (06) for a printed product which is to be stitched to pass through, the stitching head (02) being adjustable along the axis (A) of the stitching cylinder (01), characterised in that at least one closing block (14) of the closing cylinder (07) is adjustable together with the stitching head (02).
  2. A stitcher with a stitching cylinder (01) bearing at least one stitching head (02) and a closing cylinder (07) serving as an abutment surface during stitching, each of which are rotatable about an axis of rotation (A; D) and define between them a gap (06) for a printed product which is to be stitched to pass through, the stitching head (02) being adjustable along the axis (A) of the stitching cylinder (01), characterised in that a displaceable stitching-wire supply device (03) is associated with the stitching head (02).
  3. A stitcher with a stitching cylinder (01) bearing at least one stitching head (02) and a closing cylinder (07) serving as an abutment surface during stitching, each of which are rotatable about an axis of rotation (A; D) and define between them a gap (06) for a printed product which is to be stitched to pass through, the stitching head (02) being adjustable along the axis (A) of the stitching cylinder (01), characterised in that at least two stitching heads (02) are arranged in the axial direction and these two stitching heads are jointly adjustable.
  4. A stitcher according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that at least two stitching heads are arranged in the axial direction and these two stitching heads (02) are jointly adjustable.
  5. A stitcher according to Claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the two stitching heads (02) are adjustable in opposite directions.
  6. A stitcher according to Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the closing cylinder (07) bears closing blocks (14) which can be displaced with the stitching heads (02).
  7. A stitcher according to Claim 1 or 6, characterised in that a first gear mechanism (17, 12) for adjusting the at least one stitching head (02) and a second gear mechanism (17, 12) for adjusting the at least one closing block (14) are coupled in order to displace the stitching head (02) and closing block (14) over identical paths in each case.
  8. A stitcher according to Claim 1 or 3, characterised in that a displaceable stitching-wire supply device (03) is associated with each stitching head (02).
  9. A stitcher according to Claim 2 or 8, characterised in that the stitching-wire supply device (03) is jointly adjustable with the stitching head (02).
  10. A stitcher according to Claim 6 or 9, characterised in that the stitching-wire supply device (03), the closing block (14) and the stitching head (02) are jointly adjustable.
  11. A stitcher according to Claim 2, 8 or 9, characterised in that a first gear mechanism (17, 12) for translating at least one stitching head (02) and a third gear mechanism (26) for adjusting the at least one stitching-wire supply device (03) are coupled in order to displace the stitching head (02) and stitching-wire supply device (03) over identical paths in each case.
  12. A stitcher according to Claim 7 or 11, characterised in that the first gear mechanism (12, 17) converts a rotary movement into an axial movement.
  13. A stitcher according to Claim 7, characterised in that the second gear mechanism (17, 12) converts a rotary movement into an axial movement.
  14. A stitcher according to Claim 11, characterised in that the third gear mechanism (26) converts a rotary movement into an axial movement.
  15. A stitcher according to Claim 7, 11, 12, 13 or 14, characterised in that at least one of the gear mechanisms (12, 17) has a spindle (12) with threaded sections (12a; 12b) running in opposite directions.
  16. A stitcher according to Claim 15, characterised in that the spindle (12) is held coaxially in one of the cylinders (01; 07).
  17. A stitcher according to Claim 15, characterised in that the spindle (12) is connected via a differential gear (17) to an actuating shaft (16) and the cylinder (01; 07) in which it is held, the gear ratio of the differential gear (17) being selected such that when the actuating shaft (16) is stationary the spindle (12) and the cylinder (01; 07) rotate at the same speed.
