Description

The present invention relates to a metering device intended for a flexible container provided with a resealable cap for products in a pasty state. A flexible container is often used to contain a cosmetic product in a pasty state such as sunscreen for example. To be effective, this product must be delivered in specific doses. However, the pressure exerted on the walls of the tube by the user does not guarantee that a constant dose is obtained, this pressure being variable in duration and in intensity. Dosing devices must therefore be used. The constraints to be observed for these metering devices intended for everyday use are: - the simplicity of use, - the simplicity of the device making it possible to guarantee a low economic cost compatible with mass production, - a minimal bulk, - a large ease of transport. However, dosing does not require great precision. Various existing dosing solutions have been described and used, based on the use of pumps. However, these solutions are unsuitable for use for tubes of sunscreen to be carried in a pocket. In addition, pumps are relatively complex devices and therefore of high cost. Piston devices have also been described, comprising a metering chamber fixed near the opening of the container, in which slides a piston subjected to the action of the pressure of the liquid between two extreme positions, the piston being able to be provided with spring type return means. The movement of the piston defines filling positions of the metering chamber and delivery of the metered amount. The documents DE 4 310 019, EP 0 560 839, EP 1 164 362, describe such devices. These devices present a mode of operation which can be complex and impose a position of use. On the other hand, the devices used include a large number of parts, incompatible with the use in a distribution of large distribution. Finally, devices using a membrane have been described, comprising a membrane associated with a rod carrying a head allowing to close the opening of a container and to define positions for filling and delivering the dose of liquid. The documents GB 1 054 307 and US 3 134514 describe such devices. In the first document, the dosage is a precision dosage obtained by filling a cavity formed in the body of the rod. In the second document, the openings present on the membrane and allowing the liquid to pass through it are closed by a fold of the membrane under the effect of the pressure during the delivery phase. In both cases, the liquid is kept in a well-defined dosing chamber. As a result, the pressure applied to the liquid in the metering chamber is relatively low. Thus, the document US Pat. No. 3,134,514 indicates that the container must be turned over, its opening directed towards the ground, to deliver the liquid, while the document GB 1,054,307 applies to pressurized fluids which may be gases. These devices ensure good accuracy, but they are not suitable for pasty liquids and for everyday use. The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by providing a solution based on a limited number of parts, and simple to use, which can be used in all positions. To this end, the object of the invention relates to a metering device intended for a flexible container provided with a resealable cap, for products in a pasty state, characterized in that it comprises: - a cylindrical part integral with the sealing lip or neck of the container, - a membrane fixed to the cylindrical part in which openings are made, - a cylindrical body disposed in the center of the membrane of cross section greater than the opening of the container, - a head provided the end of the cylindrical body whose section increases from the cylindrical body, the maximum section of the head being of diameter substantially equal to the opening of the container, and in that the body and the head integral with the membrane can move in the axis of the container opening, when pressure is exerted on the walls of the container and applied to the membrane, between: a first shutter position at rest, the head closing the opening of the container by its part of maximum section when no pressure is exerted, and a second stopper shutter position, the cylindrical body having a diameter greater than the opening resting on the edge thereof, thereby closing the opening under the effect of pressure, the successive positions taken by the cylindrical body and the head during their intermediate travel between the two shutter positions sparing an annular space between the edge of the opening and a part of the section head less than the diameter of the opening allowing the delivery of the product contained in the container. The described configuration of the device makes it possible to obtain the desired dosage from a simple geometry. In addition, a direct passage is kept between the body of the container and the outside, so as to guarantee sufficient pressure to deliver the product to the outside of the container. Advantageously, the elastic nature of the membrane makes it possible to bring the body and the head into the rest position when the pressure is removed on the walls of the container. The use of an elastic membrane avoids the use of springs or other return means. This approach allows the device to be used in all positions, with an opening directed upwards or downwards. According to one possibility, the membrane has a generally annular shape with the same axis as the opening, delimited on its outer edge by the cylindrical part and on its inner edge by the cylindrical body. Advantageously, the membrane has a generally frustoconical shape in the rest position, the top of which is oriented towards the interior of the container. The annular and frustoconical shape of the membrane allows, by its cantilever orientation, to accentuate the elastic pressure tending to bring the device back to its rest position. According to another possibility, the membrane comprises a cylindrical portion having corrugations in the form of a bellows which can exert an elastic pressure to bring the body and the head into the rest position when the pressure is removed on the walls of the container. Advantageously, the device is made in one piece of elastomer. The structure of the device allows it to be made in one piece, this piece being made of elastomer thus ensuring the elasticity of the membrane. According to one possibility, the cylindrical part is fixed by clamping on the sealing lip or the neck of the container. According to another possibility, the device is incorporated in a ring provided with a thread, to be screwed onto the sealing lip or onto the neck of the container. According to another possibility, the device is produced by overmolding on the sealing lip or the neck of the container. The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows, with reference to the appended schematic drawing showing two embodiments of the metering device. Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view according to a first embodiment in the closed position of rest. Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view according to a first embodiment in the intermediate position. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view according to a first embodiment in the stop closure position. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view according to a second embodiment. Figures 1, 2, 3 show a metering device 2 according to the invention, fixed on a flexible container 3 provided with a resealable opening 4 for cosmetic products. The body 5 of the flexible container 3 can be produced by extrusion in polyethylene for example, then a head 6 made of polypropylene by molding is welded to this body 5. The head 6 has a neck 7, on the external wall of which a thread is formed 8, and a shoulder 9. The reclosable cap 4 is composed of a base 10 and a cap 12. - des moyens de verrouillage, constitués par une paroi cylindrique 24 d'axe perpendiculaire au capuchon 12, et de rayon ajusté à la paroi cylindrique 17 destinée à être bloqué par le retour 18 présent sur celle-ci lorsque le bouchon 4 est fermé.- Locking means, constituted by a cylindrical wall 24 of axis perpendicular to the cap 12, and of radius adjusted to the cylindrical wall 17 intended to be blocked by the return 18 present thereon when the plug 4 is closed.
- A cylindrical finger 25 projecting from the inner face of the cap 12 and of diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the opening of the container 20, coming to bear on the edges thereof when the cap 4 is closed, so as to ensure sealing. The device 2 which is the subject of the invention comprises, in a first embodiment: - a cylindrical part 26 fixed on the sealing lip 16, with an outside diameter adjusted to the inside diameter of the sealing lip 16 to ensure its maintenance in position, - a membrane 27 fixed on the cylindrical part 26 in which are formed openings 28 allowing the product to pass from the body of the container 5 to the opening 20, this membrane having a generally frustoconical shape, the top being oriented towards the inside the container 3, - a cylindrical body 29 disposed at the center of the membrane 27 of section greater than the opening 20 of the container, - a head 30 formed at the end of the cylindrical body 29, the section of which increases from the body cylindrical 29, the maximum section of the head 30 being of diameter substantially equal to the opening 20 of the container. The device 2 is made in a single piece of elastomer, which guarantees great simplicity of assembly and low economic cost. Figure 1 shows the device 2 in the rest position. The opening 20 is closed off by the part of maximum section of the head 30. The cap 12 is closed, the finger 25 sealing the opening 20. If the cap is open, the head 30 remains in the closed position of the opening 20 in the absence of pressure exerted on the walls of the container 3. Figure 2 shows the device 2 during the delivery of a dose of product. When pressure is exerted on the walls of the container 3, it is applied to the membrane 27. The cylindrical body 29 and the head 30, integral with the membrane 27 move in the axis of the opening 20, thus releasing a annular space 32 between the edge of the opening 20 and a part of the head 30 of section smaller than the diameter of the opening. In this configuration, the product contained in the container 3 is delivered. A direct passage is present between the body of the container and the outside, passing through the openings 28 and the annular space 32, which allows an easy delivery of the dose of product by transmitting a satisfactory pressure. Figure 3 shows the device 2 in the stop position. Under the effect of the pressure, the cylindrical body 29 and the head 30 continue their course until the cylindrical body 29 of diameter greater than the opening 20 come and lean on the edge of it. In this position, the opening 20 is closed. The stroke of the cylindrical body 29 and of the head 30 between the two closing positions of the opening 20 allows the delivery of a substantially constant dose of the product contained in the container 3. The elastic nature of the membrane 27 allows the device 2 to return to its rest position when the pressure is removed on the walls of the container 3. FIG. 4 represents a second embodiment of the device 2, in which the membrane 27 comprises a cylindrical portion 33 having corrugations in the form of bellows 34 which can exert an elastic pressure to bring the body 29 and the head 30 into the rest position when the pressure is removed on the walls of the container 3. The invention is not limited to the embodiment described, it embraces it on the contrary all the variants. Thus, in particular, the method of fixing the metering device 2 to the container 3 can take various forms. Instead of fixing the device 2 by tightening the cylindrical part 26 in the sealing lip 16, it is possible: - to carry out a direct tightening on the neck 7 of the container 3, - to incorporate the metering device 2 in a ring provided with a thread, to be screwed on the neck 7 of the container 3 or in the base 10. - to produce the device 2 by bi-injection or overmolding on a neck 7 of the container 3, the cylindrical part 26 which can in this case be constituted by the inside of the neck 7 of the container 3.
