Definitions
- the invention relates to a planing device according to the preamble of the protection claim. 1
- the plow chain is designed as an endless chain, thus has an upper chain and a lower chain, wherein the endless chain is guided at its two ends to corresponding sprockets. These sprockets are equipped over their circumference with corresponding sprocket pockets for receiving or deflecting the chain links from the upper strand to Untertrum.
- Such plow chains usually have twice the length of a strip intended for processing. If a longwall with a length of 400 m is processed, the length of the endless chain is about 800 m.
- the chain is hereby assembled from matching chain links, chain locks being interposed at corresponding longitudinal intervals.
- the chain locks have a width which, depending on the size of the chain, is in the range of about 10 to 15 mm wider than the width of the chain links. This can lead to problems in particular in the reversal of the planer chain to the two sprockets, which is particularly problematic Kettenradeinlauf. Due to the different width of the chain locks and chain links, excessive wear in the area of the chain wheel and increased susceptibility to cracking (martensite formation) of the chain locks can also occur. This has a premature replacement of the wheels result, in which case the service life due to wear can be less than 100 hours of operation. On the other hand, such sprockets are relatively expensive and also requires the replacement of the sprockets corresponding operational interruptions, which in turn is very disadvantageous.
- every third chain link of a plow chain as a forging, which is larger in width than the rest of the chain, d. H. the remaining chain links.
- the width is hereby dimensioned so that it is also larger than the width of the more vulnerable chain lock. This should protect the chain against wear and susceptibility to cracking.
- the object of the invention is to provide a planing device, in particular a planing chain, which has great stability and strength with a simple construction nevertheless. Furthermore, according to a further aspect, the chain should only cause minor wear, especially in the region of the sprocket, and protect the chain lock
- the chain links of the plow chain are oval except for the chain locks in the leg region and in particular by oval formation of the two longitudinal limbs of the chain links to the outside.
- the chain links, in particular the oval-shaped chain links are formed with a width opposite the chain lock width, which only slightly smaller, namely by a maximum of 5 mm, preferably formed by 2 to 3 mm than the width of the chain lock or with a width equal to or greater than the chain lock width. This ensures that the chain locks run, so to speak, in the shadow of the chain links.
- all chain links are formed with the appropriate width and bulging outwardly bulging longitudinal limbs, in particular in an oval design.
- the introduction of force to the sprocket during the deflection of the planer chain is evened out, so that the wear also in the range of the sprocket compared to conventional solutions is reduced.
- the contour of the chain link according to the invention thus consists, as it were, of composite curve segments, whereas the conventional chain links each have two semicircles and two straight legs connecting them.
- the longitudinal limbs of the chain links are each bulged oval over their entire length, so that the chain link has a rounded overall outer and inner contour.
- the cross section of the longitudinal limbs is preferably circular.
- Fig. 1 shows two offset by 90 ° views of a portion of a generally designated 1 plow chain of several chain links 2 and a two adjacent chain links connecting chain lock 3.
- the plow chain 1 is used to obtain coal and extends this purpose over a certain strike length in underground mining and is designed as an endless chain, which is guided around two sprockets, which are not shown here.
- the sprockets 2 are formed in the usual way with sprocket pockets over the circumference, which serve to receive the wound around the sprocket chain links.
- planing chains are well known and therefore not shown with the intended for the coal mining planing tools, which are carried by the chain, which in turn is guided in a plow chain guide.
- the planing chain guides are known, so they need not be described in detail here. As an endless chain, this extends with a top chain and a sub-chain over a certain stringer length. If this is about 400 m, then the length of the chain from upper chain and lower chain is about 800 m. Usually about 8 to 15 chain locks are used for such a chain length.
- the chain locks are well known, so that they do not need to be described here.
- These chain locks have a width equal to or greater than the width of the chain links of a conventional plow chain. In the illustrated embodiment, the width of the chain lock may be 151 mm.
- the majority of the chain links 2 and preferably all the chain links 2 of the plow chain 1 are formed with a width B (FIG.
- the width B of the chain links would be 153 mm, but not more than 154 mm.
- the width of the chain links in the range of 0.5 to 2%, in particular 1 to 2% wider than the width of a chain lock of the plow chain.
- the width of the chain links is about 1 to 5 mm, preferably about 2 to 3 mm smaller than the chain lock width. That is, according to the invention, the chain links may also be slightly smaller in width than the width of the chain lock. This embodiment is characterized in particular by high wear resistance, while maintaining high strength of the chain. Under practical conditions, however, it is nevertheless true that even with this design, the chain lock runs, so to speak, in the shadow of the chain links.
- FIG. 2 shows in phantom a conventional chain link of a plow chain designated 2 'and thickly a chain link 2 in an embodiment of the invention.
- the conventional chain link 2 'on two parallel and straight longitudinal leg 4', which are formed both on the leg inner surface 5 'as well as on the leg outer surface 6' in a straight line.
- the straight part of the longitudinal leg 4 ' extends in the longitudinal direction of the plow chain or in the transport direction.
- the transport direction or longitudinal direction is denoted by 7.
- the two longitudinal legs 4 'of the conventional chain link terminate at the front and rear ends of the chain link in round arches 8'.
- the two longitudinal limbs 4 of the chain link 2 are bulged outwards in an oval fashion and preferably over the entire longitudinal direction or leg length.
- the longitudinal limbs 4 bulged outwards pass over in round arches 8 corresponding to the round arches 8 'of the conventional chain link, in this respect, as shown in FIG. 2, thus congruent.
- the longitudinal limbs 4 are preferably bulged outwards over their entire length, namely in the manner of an oval outward bulge, which results in the chain link being rounded overall or a rounded profile both in its outer contour and in preference has its inner contour. D.
- Both the inner surface 5 of the leg 4 as well as the outer surface 6 are curved in the same direction outward or bulged and preferably in an oval-shaped bulge with a homogeneous transition in the round arches 8 at the front and rear ends of the chain link.
- the cross section of the chain link 2 is formed circular over the entire circumference, as illustrated in Fig. 2.
- the tip of the bulge outward of the two longitudinal legs 4 in this case forms the maximum width of the chain link, which, as stated above, is preferably wider than the corresponding width of the chain lock.
- the chain link according to the invention thus preferably has a homogeneous rounded enveloping body, wherein the chain link is bulged outwards in the region of the longitudinal limbs.

- the wear of the sprocket is significantly reduced, so that the Service life of such a sprocket, which is relatively expensive to manufacture, is significantly improved.
- this embodiment according to the invention of the chain links does not change the usual division of a chain link, so that the pitch is not changed by the bulge compared with the conventional chain or with respect to the conventional chain link.
- the division may have a pitch of 137 mm plus / minus 1.4 at a diameter of 42 mm.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a planing device according to the preamble of the protection claim. 1
Slicer devices with planer chains are known to be used for the production of coal primarily in underground mining. For this purpose, the plow chain is designed as an endless chain, thus has an upper chain and a lower chain, wherein the endless chain is guided at its two ends to corresponding sprockets. These sprockets are equipped over their circumference with corresponding sprocket pockets for receiving or deflecting the chain links from the upper strand to Untertrum. Such plow chains usually have twice the length of a strip intended for processing. If a longwall with a length of 400 m is processed, the length of the endless chain is about 800 m. The chain is hereby assembled from matching chain links, chain locks being interposed at corresponding longitudinal intervals. With a planing chain length of about 800 m, initially about 8 to 15 chain locks are used. The chain locks have a width which, depending on the size of the chain, is in the range of about 10 to 15 mm wider than the width of the chain links.
To remedy this problem, it has already been proposed to form every third chain link of a plow chain as a forging, which is larger in width than the rest of the chain, d. H. the remaining chain links. The width is hereby dimensioned so that it is also larger than the width of the more vulnerable chain lock. This should protect the chain against wear and susceptibility to cracking. However, there are disadvantages due to the different link widths, especially at the inlet of the wider running chain links in the sprocket, as there is a discontinuous stress on the side of the sprocket and increased wear in the sprocket is the result. In principle, in such an embodiment of a planing chain carries in fact only about every sixth link in the range of the sprocket, since only this rests in a corresponding sprocket pocket. This leads to a considerable stress on the sprocket, so that the sprocket must also be replaced after a short period of operation.
Ferner soll nach einem weiteren Aspekt die Kette nur geringen Verschleiß, insbesondere im Bereich des Kettenrades verursachen und das Kettenschloss schützenThe object of the invention is to provide a planing device, in particular a planing chain, which has great stability and strength with a simple construction nevertheless. Furthermore, according to a further aspect, the chain should only cause minor wear, especially in the region of the sprocket, and protect the chain lock
This object is achieved by the measures contained in the characterizing part of claim 1, wherein expedient developments of the invention are characterized by the features contained in the dependent claims.
According to the invention, at least a substantial part, but preferably all the chain links of the plow chain are oval except for the chain locks in the leg region and in particular by oval formation of the two longitudinal limbs of the chain links to the outside. This results in an increased stability and strength of the chain links and the plow chain as a whole. Furthermore, the chain links, in particular the oval-shaped chain links are formed with a width opposite the chain lock width, which only slightly smaller, namely by a maximum of 5 mm, preferably formed by 2 to 3 mm than the width of the chain lock or with a width equal to or greater than the chain lock width. This ensures that the chain locks run, so to speak, in the shadow of the chain links. This is the case in particular in the claimed chain links, which are only a small amount in width smaller than the chain lock width, as is nevertheless achieved under practical conditions that the chain locks run, so to speak, in the shadow of the chain links. In particular, both the chain entry and the deflection of the chain around the sprockets result in a uniform load and introduction of force, so that the wear, in particular on the sprocket, is correspondingly reduced.
In an advantageous embodiment in this case all chain links are formed with the appropriate width and bulging outwardly bulging longitudinal limbs, in particular in an oval design. This results in a homogeneous construction of the planer chain, whereby the chain not only runs evenly in the planer guide, where it runs with her belly, but also equally protects the lock against excessive wear. The introduction of force to the sprocket during the deflection of the planer chain is evened out, so that the wear also in the range of the sprocket compared to conventional solutions is reduced. The contour of the chain link according to the invention thus consists, as it were, of composite curve segments, whereas the conventional chain links each have two semicircles and two straight legs connecting them.
Preferably, the longitudinal limbs of the chain links are each bulged oval over their entire length, so that the chain link has a rounded overall outer and inner contour. The cross section of the longitudinal limbs is preferably circular. The production of the chain links is done in a simple manner by bending a steel bar, wherein the abutting ends of the bent bar steel are welded to the chain link.
Overall, a much better position of the chain link in the sprocket pocket is achieved by this design, wherein the support surface is improved and this support surface has more material. This results in improved service life. Regardless of the inventively accomplished bulging of the longitudinal leg to the outside, the mechanical properties are complied with according to the relevant DIN standard 22252 readily.

Fig. 1 shows two offset by 90 ° views of a portion of a generally designated 1 plow chain of
According to a further very advantageous embodiment of the invention, the width of the chain links is about 1 to 5 mm, preferably about 2 to 3 mm smaller than the chain lock width.
Die beiden Längsschenkel 4' des konventionellen Kettengliedes münden am vorderen und hinteren Ende des Kettengliedes in Rundbögen 8' aus.2 shows in phantom a conventional chain link of a plow chain designated 2 'and thickly a
In the embodiment according to the invention, as is quite clear from FIG. 2, the two longitudinal limbs 4 of the
The chain link according to the invention thus preferably has a homogeneous rounded enveloping body, wherein the chain link is bulged outwards in the region of the longitudinal limbs. On this belly, the chain runs evenly in the planer guide and therefore protects the lock from excessive wear. Furthermore, this chain link of a plow chain is ensured by this design, whereby the position of each chain link is improved in the sprocket pocket. As a result of the bulbous bulge, the chain links in the area of the support surface more material, so that the support surface is improved. Furthermore, so that the wear of the sprocket is significantly reduced, so that the Service life of such a sprocket, which is relatively expensive to manufacture, is significantly improved. However, this embodiment according to the invention of the chain links does not change the usual division of a chain link, so that the pitch is not changed by the bulge compared with the conventional chain or with respect to the conventional chain link. In the illustrated embodiment, the division may have a pitch of 137 mm plus / minus 1.4 at a diameter of 42 mm. Of course, these details are exemplary and may vary depending on the purpose of the planer chain or size interpretation accordingly.
The production of the chain link according to the invention is advantageously carried out by bending a bar steel with a round cross section, wherein the two abutting ends of the bent to a chain link bar steel are welded together. The weld is then reworked in the usual way to obtain a clean chain link.
