Definitions

  • the invention relates to an injection system for an internal combustion engine, in particular for a diesel engine, with a high pressure pump for fuel supply in at least one injector via at least one disposed between the high pressure pump and the injector fuel line and with a high pressure pump upstream prefeed pump for delivering fuel from a fuel tank in the high pressure pump.
  • the present invention is accordingly an object of the invention to provide a hydraulic system, which despite a built-in high-pressure pump storage volume comparable Hydraulic stability causes simpler design of the entire system.
  • a further embodiment of the invention can be 0.006 to 0.02 1 / cm 2 in a high-pressure pump with a diaphragm at the high pressure output, the ratio of the aperture diameter to the integrated pump volume.
  • This panel is installed in any existing high pressure outlet.
  • a further optimization of the entire hydraulic system is provided by an additional parameter, namely the ratio of the length of the fuel line between the high pressure pump and the respective injector and the integrated pump volume, which can be 3 to 9 1 / cm 2 .
  • the injection system schematically illustrated in FIG. 1 for an internal combustion engine, in particular for a diesel engine, has a high-pressure pump 1 with integrated storage strip (storage rail).
  • This high-pressure pump 1 is preceded by a pre-feed pump for conveying fuel from a fuel tank not shown in the high-pressure pump 1 upstream.
  • This high-pressure pump 1 is connected via fuel lines 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 each with an injector 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4.
  • the storage volume of these injectors is increased according to the invention, wherein a second high-pressure bore may be present to increase the volume.
  • the inner diameter of the fuel lines 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 between the outlet of the high-pressure pump 1 and the respective injector 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 is in the range of 0.025 to 0.65 1 / cm 2 in relation to the integrated pump volume.
  • the ratio of the length of the lines 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 between the high-pressure pump 1 and the relevant injector is 3.0 to 9.0 1 / cm 2 .
  • Fig. 2 shows in a coordinate system, the injection quantity (axis y) to the separation angle (axis x).
  • the region I defines the pilot injection, with the main injection (region II) taking place after a separation angle ⁇ .
  • the angle ⁇ is varied according to experience in the range between 5 ° and 40 °.
  • Figures 3a and 3b show a diagram of the optimized "railless" system (reference A) compared to a conventional system (reference N). Shown are the injection quantities (axis y) of the main injection (FIG. 3a) and the pilot injection (FIG. 3b) as a function of the separation angle (axis x) from pre-to main injection.
  • Fig. 3 shows a typical full load situation. As can be seen from FIG. 3b; In the pre-injection with respect to the system A according to the invention and the conventional system N, virtually identical values of the injection quantities are present over the entire separation angle.
  • Fig. 3a that is, the main injection
  • the conventional system has large injection quantity fluctuations over the entire separation angle range, that is, there are large irregularities with respect to the injection quantity.
  • the injection quantity fluctuates between 45 and more than 47 mg / stk at the operating point shown here.
  • a strong equalization of the injection quantity over the entire separation angle can be recognized by the railless system according to the invention.
  • FIGS. 4a and 4b show a situation similar to that of FIG. 3a and FIG. 3b at partial load.
  • FIG. 4b namely the pre-injection, that there is a high degree of equalization of the injection quantity over the entire separation angle in the railless system according to the invention, whereas in a conventional system there are still strong peak values.
  • Fig. 4a shows the system at part load and main injection.
  • the injection quantity values during Conventional system have significant volume fluctuations (up to 2 mg / stk with a target amount of 10 mg / stk) (curve N)
  • curve N the injection quantity values during Conventional system
  • curve A a significant homogenization of the injection quantities over the conventional system over the entire separation angle range given is.
