Da wie bereits oben erwähnt das Gewicht 16 etwas grösser ist als die Befestigungsplatte 8 und der Sanitärapparat 21, fährt der Sanitärapparat 21 ohne Belastung nach oben. Werden die Hebel 10 wieder losgelassen, so wird die aktuelle Höhe des Sanitärapparates 21 fixiert. Wird an den Hebeln 10 von Hand entsprechend nach unten gedrückt, so bewegt sich der Sanitärapparat 21 nach unten. Durch Loslassen der Hebel 10 wird auch hier die gewünschte Höhe fixiert bzw. arretiert, so dass der Sanitärapparat 21 benutzt werden kann. Fährt der Sanitärkörper nach oben, so wird entsprechend das Gegengewicht 16 nach unten bewegt. Zum Schutz des Bodens ist gemäss Figur 2 ein Puffer 20 aus Gummi vorgesehen. Der Sanitärapparat 21 ist vorzugsweise eine WC-Schüssel, ein Waschtisch, ein Urinalbecken oder ein Bidet.
