Definitions
- the present invention relates to a storage bin for postal items comprising a plurality of sidewalls and a bottom.
- the invention relates to a mail storage bin postal services, typically letters and flat postal objects, used for receive and store postal items mainly in a sorting machine of postal items with buckets.
- the postal items are conveyed by a bucket carousel over a plurality of bins storage constituting the sorting outlets of the sorting machine and are discharged from cups to the storage bins by simply opening the bottom of the cups as shown in US-5290025.
- Patent document US-6648284 discloses a storage tank postal items comprising a bottom consisting of an inclined wall between two diametrically opposite corners of the tray which allows a better stacking of postal items in the bottom of the tray and a better maintenance in position of the stack of postal items in the bottom of the tray with respect to a bottom horizontal or perpendicular to the side walls of the tank.
- the object of the invention is to propose a storage bin for shipments which does not have the disadvantages mentioned above and in particularity that allows the two longitudinal and cross-section of the postal items at the outlet of the buckets of the sorting machine, which allows to keep the sequence of mail items unloaded by the buckets in the bin, which preserves the integrity of the mail stack contained in the bin, including during handling and automatic conveying of the tray and which allows an automatic extraction of the pile of mailings out of the bin.
- the invention relates to a form storage tank substantially parallelepipedic for storing postal items in sorting outlets of a postal sorting machine, comprising a bottom surrounded by side walls defining a horizontal upper portion of the tray and a lower horizontal part of the tank, characterized in that the bottom of the tank is constituted by two inclined walls which form in section a "V" having a base arranged in the lower part of the tray and branches that extend towards the horizontal upper part of the container, being inclined with respect to the lower horizontal part of the tray, and in that the side walls (7) of the tray flare up towards the bottom of the tank.
- the tray according to the invention is designed to have a V-shaped interior bottom with interior walls that define the V that are inclined by compared to the horizontal lower part of the tank which is outside.
- the walls sides (outer walls) flare up from the top to the lower part of the tray which allows a stacking of bottom tanks in the form of V.
- the upper ends of the two inclined walls (6,8) are vertically offset.
- a first wall of the bottom makes an angle about 40 ° from the horizontal and a second bottom wall makes a angle of about 70 ° to the horizontal.
- one or both walls inclined bottom of the tray is or are openwork.
- one or both walls inclined bottom of the tank has or have a corrugated profile.
- one of the walls inclined bottom of the tray has a corrugated profile and the other has a perforated profile.
- the bottom of the tray constituted by the two inclined walls is removable relative to the walls side of the tank.
- the invention extends to a machine for sorting mail items with buckets for moving postal items over a plurality of storage as defined above. Every mailing that leaves a bucket follows a trajectory until it is received in a storage bin, one of the two inclined walls of a storage tank forming a jog wall postal items in the bottom of the tank and the other of the two inclined walls of the storage tank constituting a wall for receiving postal items in the bottom of the tank.
- the jogging wall of the tank is inclined in such a way as to be substantially tangent to the trajectory of the mailpiece and the receiving wall the bin is tilted so as to receive a flat mailing.
- Figure 1 schematically shows a sectional view of a container of storage according to the invention receiving a postal shipment from a bucket in a sorting machine.
- Figure 2 schematically shows a sectional view of a container of storage according to the invention containing a plurality of heterogeneous postal items stacked in the bottom of the tray.
- FIG. 3 shows a sectional view along A-A in FIG. storage according to the invention with inclined walls constituting the bottom of the tray having a crenellated profile.
- Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the storage bin according to the invention with inclined walls constituting the bottom of the tray having a profile in the form of battlements.
- FIG. 5 shows a view from above of the storage container according to the invention with sloping perforated walls forming the bottom of the tray.
- Figure 6 shows a perspective view of the storage bin according to the invention with perforated inclined walls constituting the bottom of the tray.
- FIG 1 there is shown a bucket 1 in a mail sorting machine postal mailing a postal item 2 above a storage bin 3 according to the invention.
- the postal item 2 is placed in the bucket 1 in the direction of the length. It extends substantially vertically with a certain inclination.
- the bucket 1 and therefore the postal item 2 that it contains are, for example, inclined to 60 ° in a clockwise direction from the horizontal.
- the buckets such as 1 move on a carousel (not shown in Figure 1) at a speed of about 1 m / s, for example.
- the mailing 2 pushed by bucket 1 describes a substantially parabolic trajectory 5 which is illustrated in dashed lines in FIG. 1 with the successive positions of the postal item 2 until it falls into the bottom of the storage bin 3.
- the trajectory of mailing 2 remains mainly dependent on the orientation and conveying speed of the bucket 1.
- the postal item 2 is therefore received in the storage bin 3 on a wall receiver indicated by 6 which constitutes a wall of the bottom of the tank.
- the ferry storage 3, of substantially parallelepipedal shape comprises a plurality of side walls 7, for example four side walls 7 surrounding the bottom of the tray.
- the bottom of the tray according to the invention consists of two inclined walls relative to each other and to the horizontal (lower and lower upper horizontal tray), namely the receiving wall 6 and a wall of jogging 8, these two walls forming a "V" in section.
- the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8 correspond respectively to the first and the second bar of the "V" shape.
- the walls inside the tray defining the V-shaped bottom are inclined with respect to the lower part of the tank (horizontal base in dashed line) or the part upper tray (horizontal opening in dashed line).
- the receiving wall 6 is inclined substantially the same as the bucket 1 so that the postal item 2 is received at flat on the receiving surface 6. Therefore, the postal item 2 does not bounce and therefore does not change orientation upon receipt in the bottom of the bucket.
- the inclination of the receiving wall 6 therefore depends on the trajectory 5 described above. and the drop height of the mailpiece 2 from the bucket 1.
- the distance between the bottom of the bucket 1 and the top of the storage tank 3 will be preferably equal to about 100 mm.
- the depth of the wall receiver 6, ie the length of the first bar of the "V" shape must be greater than the maximum width of the spectrum of postal items considered, for example 300 mm.
- the depth of the receiving wall 6 must not be too big because a second mailing could be received on the receiving wall 6 above a first mailing previously received, the second mailing could go below the first and corrupt the integrity of the stack.
- the base 9 of the "V" shape must be substantially placed in the bottom of the tank at the point where the mailpiece 2 enters into contact with the storage bin 3.
- the side wall 7 which extends the receiving wall 6 towards the top of the tank forms an extension that increases the storage capacity of the tray 3.
- the postal item 2 is received on the receiving wall 6 and slides slightly towards the base 9 of the "V" shape to snap against the wall of jogging 8.
- the jogging wall 8 is inclined so as to be substantially tangent to the trajectory of the postal item 2 at the level of its reception in the ferry of storage 3. Thus, the postal mail sliding on the receiving wall 6 does not go back not on the jogging wall 8.
- the jogging wall 8 extends from the base 9 of the "V" shape to the upper end of a side wall 7 and is inclined by approximately 70 ° by report horizontally.
- the mailing 2 is received flat on the receiving wall 6 without changing its orientation and tucks on the tangent wall 8 without going back up the tray so that it is possible to build up a stable and intact pile of postal items in the bottom of the tank, which can be conveyed automatically or be handled without risk of losing the integrity of the battery.
- postal items are stacked on edge in the bottom of the tray. which allows, if necessary, an easy check of the contents of the storage.
- FIG 2 there is shown a plurality of heterogeneous postal items stacked 10 in the bottom of the storage bin 3. It is understandable that by shooting against the jogging wall 8, the successive heterogeneous postal items form a stack 10 increasingly flat as the number mailing increases.
- the height of the stack 10 equals the length a line segment perpendicular to the receiving wall 6 and reaching the top of the battery 10.
- a stack height 10 of about 230 mm allows to have a battery 10 sufficiently stable for automatic conveying and a storage capacity of the tray 3 satisfactory.
- a greater storage capacity of the tray 3 can be obtained by means of a larger storage tank 3 and a device for adjusting the position of the bottom of the tank 3 constituted by the receiving wall 6 and the wall of 8, therefore to adjust the drop height of postal items as as the postal items pile up in the tray 3 so that the height fall is maintained at a correct value, thereby avoiding the changes in the orientation of postal items.
- FIG 3 there is shown a sectional view along A-A in Figure 1 of the storage tank 3, in which the jogging wall 8 has in section a slot-shaped profile 30.
- the receiving wall 6 also has in section a profile in form of battlements.
- the crenellated profile 30 allows, with the help of a device consisting of extraction fingers (not shown in the figure) by example, to pass under the stack of heterogeneous postal items 10 and thus to extract the postal items while maintaining the integrity of the stack 10.
- the Automatic or manual extraction process can be set up, by example, between the first and the second sorting pass in the sorting machine or when transferring to a tray dedicated to the distribution.
- the profile in section of the receiving wall 6 and / or the wall of jogging 8 may be a corrugated profile with a suitable extraction device.
- FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of the storage container 3 in which the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8 present in section
- the outer side walls of the tray flare up from the top (opening) to the bottom (bottom) of the tray.
- FIG. 5 shows a top view of the storage container 3, in which the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8 are perforated with by means of a plurality of lights 50 extending from the receiving wall 6 to the jogging wall 8, for example, so that a device consisting of extraction fingers (not shown in the figure) allows automatic extraction or manually the stack of heterogeneous postal items 10 while retaining the integrity of the battery 10.
- FIG. 6 shows a perspective view of the storage bin 3 in which the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8 are perforated with by means of a plurality of lights 50 extending from the receiving wall 6 towards the jogging wall 8.
- the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8 may have a perforated profile for one and corrugated profile for the other.
- the side walls 7 flare towards the bottom of the storage tank 3.
- a bar code is written on the storage bin 3 in order to identify it and to allow a follow-up of the sequence of storage bins in the machine sorting.
- the bottom of the storage tank 3 constituted by the receiving wall 6 and the jogging wall 8, is a removable bottom that can be put into place in a storage bin with flat bottom for example.
