The fixing hooks are each attached to the mask via a length-adjustable flexible retaining strap (10). Stop elements (13) acting in a friction- and form-locking manner on the helmet are formed on the holding device in the region of the fixing hook to hold the fixing hook in the suspended position. Sliding elements (17) for automatic positioning of the fixing hook in the hook-receiving pocket on tightening the retaining strap are arranged offset from the stop elements and protrude over the stop elements.

Description

Dokument FR 2 707 141).
The invention relates to a holding device for a respiratory mask for its connection to a protective helmet, with fastening hooks provided on both sides on the respiratory mask, which can be suspended in hook receiving pockets formed on the outside of the protective helmet.
Respiratory masks, which are not held directly on the head of the user, but are fixed by means of a special holding device to the protective helmet and braced on the face of the mask wearer are known. They make it possible to apply the protective mask quickly when the protective helmet is put on during use. In a known combination of respirator and protective helmet each holding a device is attached to the opposite side edges of the respirator, which includes a hinged to the respirator mounting rod with at the free end under the action of a tension telescopically fixed mounting hooks, while on the laterally opposite outer surfaces of the Protective helmets in each case a hook receiving pocket is formed, in which the respective fastening hook is suspended against the spring action to keep the protective mask under tension on the face of the mask wearer (see, for example, document FR 2 707 141).

The application of the respirator with this relatively complicated holding device prepares so far as the spring-loaded and arranged on a rigid extension rod mounting hook under difficult conditions not easy to handle. Depending on the head size of the mask wearer, the respirator due to the non-adjustable spring forces either too tight or too loose on the face rest, so that the wearer suffers, leakage problems occur or the respirator can easily slip. Although adjustment of the spring strength is possible indirectly via the displacement of the hook receiving pockets, in this case the protective helmets between users with different head shapes are no longer interchangeable. The invention has for its object to provide a simple design and easy to handle holding device for attaching a respirator on a protective helmet, which ensures a high level of comfort and wearing comfort and safe respiratory protection.

According to the invention the object is achieved with a trained according to the features of claim 1 holding device. From the dependent claims, further features and advantageous developments of the invention.

An important feature of the invention consists firstly in that the fastening hooks are each attached to a flexible, length-adjustable strap and the fastening hooks can therefore be easily inserted into the hook receiving pockets. The secure fit of the mask on the face of the user can be set individually depending on the head size. In combination with the pliable strap stop elements are provided in the region of the fastening hook, which are held frictionally and positively on the helmet or its Hakenaufnahmetasche, so that the attachment hooks can not solve even with an external force on the respirator from the receiving pockets. According to one combined with the aforementioned features Another important feature of the invention are the frictionally and positively acting stop elements associated with these staggered sliding elements, which ensure an automatic positioning of the fastening hooks and an alignment of the clamping bands for optimum fit of the respirator when tightening the straps. Under these conditions, a holding device with attachment hook ensures a high level of wearing comfort and a secure fit with a respirator to be connected to the protective helmet.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the fastening hook is designed as a handle with ergonomically designed handle elements to facilitate the handling of the holding device even when wearing gloves on.

The connection of the clamping band with the fastening hook takes place with a molded onto the strap. Holding piece which is fixed positively in a recess formed in the handle. At the free surface of the holding member consisting of rubber-elastic material, the stop elements made of the same material are formed, while the sliding elements are formed on the side edge of the recess of the handle made of a solid material with good sliding properties.

The holding device is thus structurally simple and inexpensive.

As shown in FIG. 1, a holding device 3 is fastened laterally opposite to a window frame 1 of a respirator mask 2 by means of a bracket 4. At the free end of the bracket 4 is a locking device for a clamping band 10, which comprises a circumferentially profiled pinch roller 5 and a pivotable spring action clamping button 6, respectively. In addition, a retaining ring 7 for fixing a neck band 8 is provided at the temple end. With the neck band 8, the respirator 2 can be hung when not in use around the neck of the mask wearer and is thus available at any time for use. The holding device 3 further comprises the transversely extending, spaced-apart locking webs 11 having clamping band 10 which is guided between the pinch roller 5 and the clamping button 6 and lockable according to the distance of the locking webs 11, in the respectively desired position for the tight application of Respiratory mask on the face of the mask wearer. At the end remote from the locking device of the clamping band 10, a holding piece 12 is integrally formed, on the free surface of stop elements 13 are formed. The tension band 10, the retaining piece 12 and the stop elements 13 are made of a rubber-elastic material. In the tension band 10, a reinforcement is incorporated, so that the tension band 10 while flexible, but substantially non-stretchable in the longitudinal direction.

The holding device further comprises a connected to the strap 10, made of a rigid material (hard plastic) existing hooks 9 (not shown) for establishing the connection between the respirator 2 and a protective helmet in a provided on the outer sides hook receiving pocket (not shown) can be hung. The width of the hook receiving pocket is greater than that of the fastening hook 9, so that it can be easily inserted into the receiving pocket.

The connection between the fastening hook 9 and the clamping band 10 via a adjoining the fastening hooks 9 handle 14, in which a recess 15 is formed, and the integrally formed on the clamping band 10 holding piece 12 which is held in a form-fitting manner in the recess 15, namely with molded onto the connecting piece 12 nubs 21 which engage in detent openings 22 in the opposite side edges 16 of the handle 14, and with a provided in the rear edge of the handle slot opening 20 through which the clamping band 10 is passed. The retaining piece 12 fitted in a form-fitting manner into the recess 15 is dimensioned such that it does not protrude beyond the side edges 16 of the recess 15 formed in the grip piece or ends below the upper edge of the recess. However, the stop members 13 protrude beyond the upper edge of the side edges 16.

On the handle 14 sliding rails 17 are formed on the side edges 16 of the recess 15, which project slightly beyond the stop elements 13 and slightly offset from these are arranged. In addition, on the clamping band 10 facing end of the handle 14 to facilitate the removal and hooking of the fastening hook 9, and also with gloves, handle elements 18 and in the region of the fastening hooks 9 grip elements 19a, 19b, 19c formed.

When putting on the respirator 2, the lower ends of the tension straps 10 are in the region of the pinch roller 5 and the clamping button 6, so that there is sufficient scope for hanging the hooks 9 in the hook receiving pockets on the helmet (not shown). Subsequently, the clamping bands 10 between the clamping button and pinch roller depending on the head shape and head size are tightened enough that the mask edge rests sufficiently dense and comfortable on the face. In this case, the fastening hook 9 slides on the sliding elements 17 automatically in the predetermined position in the hook receiving pocket. The strap 10 is between receiving pocket and pinch roller / clamp button 5, 6 aligned so that the tensile load at the top of the clamping band 10 is greater than at the bottom. This position or load of the tension band 10 has proven to be advantageous for a comfortable and gas-tight fit of the respirator. In a frontal force acting on the respirator, for example, when struck an obstacle in confined spaces, the mounting hook 9 due to the flexibility of the tension band 10 in connection with the projecting from the retaining piece 12 of the tension band 10 rubber elastic stop elements 13 can not from the hook receiving pocket on Loosen the protective helmet. If a force is exerted on the fastening hooks 9 when abutting the respirator mask via the flexible tensioning band 10, its movement is prevented by the abutment elements 13, namely positively on an edge of the hook receiving pocket and frictionally locked due to the rubber-elastic material.
