La soudure latéro-latérale de la capsule concerne ces trois épaisseurs. La capsule dans sa partie intériorisée est identique à celle décrite précédemment. L'opercule est là encore collé ou soudé. Cet emballage est empilé pour le recyclage après libération du fond de la bouteille par un moyen de libération. La capsule peut dans ce cas être recyclée plus facilement. On utilise, afin de ne pas se salir lors du stockage, un sac de plastique recyclable du diamètre des bouteilles sur un support, qui facilite leur empilage tête première. Une fois vidangé du liquide restant, le sac est clipsé prêt au transport. Une autre variante de capsule operculée est adaptée à un récipient en tronc de cône à base inférieure. La capsule à bords parallèles ou coniques congruents à ceux de la bouteille est introduite par le fond jusqu'à son sillon de positionnement au sommet puis collée ou soudée. Une telle conception permet un remplissage par le fond ; qui est finalement operculé collé ou preferentiellement soudé.
