Description

The present invention relates to a projector device comprising a multifunctional actuator block. By actuator is meant an electrotechnical element, engine type, associated with a kinematic chain allowing the movement of a target element. Most often, an actuator comprises an electronic control card for managing its operation. The actuator block present in the projector device according to the invention is multifunctional: it allows a first function consisting in the tilting of a pivoting flap within the projector device, and a second function, called DBL function. An essential object of the invention is to be able to perform these two functions, within a same projector device, occupying as limited a volume as possible and without the various elements involved in the kinematics of these two functions interfering with each other.

  • des feux de position, d'intensité et de portée faible ;
  • des feux de croisement, ou codes, d'intensité plus forte et de portée sur la route avoisinant 70 mètres, qui sont utilisés essentiellement la nuit et dont la répartition du faisceau lumineux est telle qu'elle permet de ne pas éblouir le conducteur d'un véhicule croisé ;
  • des feux de route longue portée, et des feux de complément de type longue portée, dont la zone de vision sur la route avoisine 200 mètres, et qui doivent être éteints lorsque l'on croise un autre véhicule afin de ne pas éblouir son conducteur ;
  • des feux anti-brouillard.
The field of the invention is, in general, that of motor vehicle headlights. In this field, various types of projectors devices are known, among which we find essentially:
  • position, intensity and low range lights;
  • low beam, or codes, of greater intensity and range on the road of about 70 meters, which are used mainly at night and whose distribution of the light beam is such that it does not dazzle the driver of a crossover vehicle;
  • long-range headlamps, and long-range supplement lights, whose vision zone on the road is approximately 200 meters, and which must be extinguished when crossing another vehicle so as not to dazzle its driver;
  • fog lights.

Sur le même principe, il existe aussi des projecteurs multi-fonction, où un cache amovible peut adopter plus de deux positions pour occulter de plusieurs façons de façon sélective le faisceau lumineux émis par la source : on peut ainsi avoir des caches bi fonction code trafic à droite/code trafic à gauche, des caches tri-fonction code trafic à droite/code trafic à gauche/route etc ....Furthermore, we know a type of advanced projector, called dual-function projector, which combines the functions of low beam and long range lights: for this purpose, for example, there may be inside the bifunctional projector a removable cover that can pass on command of a first position in which it obscures part of the light signal produced by the light source of the projector, the range of the projector being thus limited to that of the dipped beam to not dazzle other drivers, to a second position in which it does not obscure the light signal produced by the light source of the projector, the range of the projector then corresponding to that of high beam as described in EP 1 197 387. This exemplary embodiment is mainly implemented in elliptical projectors devices. On the same principle, there are also multi-function projectors, where a removable cover can adopt more than two positions to obscure in a few ways selectively the light beam emitted by the source: it can thus have caches bi function traffic code right / traffic code left, caches tri-function traffic code right / traffic code left / route etc ....

On pourra se rapporter, par exemple, au brevet E P 1 139 011.There is also a particular type of projector, which allows, especially at night, to obtain a visible image of the road on a control screen. This type of projector is in fact a headlamp-type headlamp, equipped with a tilting infra-red filter, which can be placed on command from a first position in which it filters all the light signals produced by the light source. the projector, so that only infra-red, glare-free rays actually emerge from the projector device, to a second position in which the filter does not obscure any light signal produced by the light source of the projector, the range of the corresponding projector then to that of the driving lights. For example, reference can be made to the patent E P 1 139 011.

In the context of the invention, the removable cover and the infra-red filter are two particular examples of pivoting shutter involved in the first function of the projector device according to the invention.

Furthermore, it is also known, in addition to the main conventional headlight functions, which have just been mentioned, including codes and routes, various improvements that have gradually appeared. We have developed sophisticated functions, or advanced functions, among which we find in particular a function called DBL (Dynamic Bending Light in English for light bend mobile). The DBL function makes it possible to modify the orientation of a light beam produced by a light source, so that when the vehicle approaches a turn, the road is illuminated optimally.

  • susceptibles d'être équipés d'un volet mobile, notamment par pivotement, indépendamment de la fonction remplie par ledit volet mobile, capable de basculer, d'évoluer, sur commande et grâce à la présence d'un moteur, entre une première position, dite position active, dans laquelle des signaux lumineux, émis par une source lumineuse du dispositif projecteur équipé dudit volet, rencontrent le volet pivotant, et une deuxième position, dite position passive, dans laquelle les signaux lumineux ne rencontrent pas le volet pivotant ;
In general, the projectors concerned by the invention are all those who are:
  • capable of being equipped with a movable flap, in particular by pivoting, independently of the function performed by said movable flap, able to switch, to evolve, on command and thanks to the presence of a motor, between a first position, said active position, wherein light signals, emitted by a light source of the projector device equipped with said flap, meet the pivoting flap, and a second position, said passive position, in which the light signals do not meet the pivoting flap;
  • able to implement the DBL function.

Un tel dispositif d'éclairage selon le préambule de la revendication 1 est connu du document FR-A-2808750.It is not known, in the state of the art, projector devices that combine these two functions. In addition, the creation of a projector device which juxtaposed, as they exist in the state of the art, an actuator for performing the first function, and an actuator for performing the second function, would result not to a satisfactory solution: in fact, the first actuator comprises a first motor which, in the state of the art, is disposed in a first housing on a front part of the projector device, and which would hinder the movement generated by the actuator associated with the second function, the second actuator being disposed in a second housing on a rear portion of the projector device. The presence of these two separate boxes is also penalizing in terms of space. Such a lighting device according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from FR-A-2808750.

It is an object of the invention to respond to all the disadvantages just mentioned. For this purpose, in the invention, there is provided a projector device which has a single multifunctional actuator block in which different elements are grouped together, in particular a first motor and / or a second motor, allowing the implementation of a failover function. a swivel flap and a DBL function. The multifunctional actuator block is integrated in a housing that is movable along an axis of rotation allowing the movement corresponding to the DBL function of the projector device. All the elements involved in the actuators associated with these two functions are attached to the mobile housing, so that the elements of the two actuators follow the rotational movement generated by the DBL function, thus ensuring the possibility of implementing the first one. function whatever the orientation of the projector device imposed by the second function.

L'invention concerne donc essentiellement un dispositif projecteur comportant notamment :

  • une source lumineuse disposée dans un réflecteur qui produit un faisceau lumineux émis, au niveau d'une face de sortie du réflecteur, notamment selon un axe optique sensiblement horizontal du dispositif projecteur;
  • un volet mobile notamment pivotant pouvant évoluer, au moyen d'un premier moteur, au moins entre au moins deux positions, par exemple entre une position passive dans laquelle il n'intercepte pas le faisceau lumineux et une position active dans laquelle il intercepte au moins une partie du faisceau lumineux;

The movable flap can move by a pivoting movement relative to an axis, or by a rotational movement or translation.

  • in Figure 4, a second assembled view of the projector device according to the invention;

The elements appearing in different figures retain the same reference.

Figures 1 and 2 highlight the various main elements to be integrated in a projector device according to the invention. We thus find, in particular, the following elements:
  • a reflector 101, at the heart of which one comes to place a source 102, visible only in Figure 4, held by a lamp holder element 103, to produce a light beam corresponding to the use made of the projector device. For the reflector 101, an output face is defined, which is a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the projector device, and which is embodied by a periphery 104. The light beam produced is directed along a substantially horizontal optical axis and directed towards the 'front of the vehicle to illuminate optimally a borrowed road. By the term substantially horizontal optical axis, it is meant that the optical axis, which corresponds to a direction of maximum intensity in light emission by the projector device considered, is contained in a plane parallel to the road, at one or two degrees close.
  • a photometric plate 105, intended to be placed in abutment on the perimeter 104. The role of the photometric plate 105 is to obstruct different cavities which would let photometric leakage escape from the projector device, said photometric leaks not being intended to contribute to the development of the expected light beam. The shape of the photometric plate is such that it does not intercept the light rays necessary for the development of the expected light beam, whether it is a light beam of the road type or code type. In addition, it plays a role of thermal protection, including electronic components and motors vis-à-vis the heat emitted by the light beam.
  • a pivoting flap 106 for filling the first function described above. In the illustrated example, the pivoting flap is of the removable cache type, that is to say that it has a shape that makes it possible, by projection, to obtain a regulatory code beam when it is in an active position in which it intercepts a portion of the light beam produced by the light source 102, a regulatory road beam when in a passive position in which it does not intercept the light beam produced by the light source 102; the shape of the pivoting flap for obtaining a regulatory cutoff line for the codes is made in a rod having at one of its ends, a gear wheel 107 and two circular tips 108 located at each end of the rod. A return spring 109 is disposed on one of the endings of the rod: it makes it possible to instantly cause the tilting of the pivoting flap in a direction opposite to that given by an engine. In other embodiments of the projector device according to the invention, the pivoting flap may be of the infra-red filter or multi-function type.
  • a first motor 110 for actuating the pivoting flap. Preferably, for reasons of space (or other reasons including electronic control), a DC motor is used. The first motor essentially consists of a motor unit which rotates a motor rod supporting a first pinion 111.
  • a second motor 112 for causing the movement of the projector device to perform the DBL function. For reasons of precision of the movements caused by this motor, a motor of the stepper motor type is preferably used. The second motor 112 essentially consists of a motor unit which drives in rotation a motor shaft supporting, in the example illustrated, a worm 113. The worm is used to drive in rotation a second pinion 114 whose role will be specified later.
  • an electronic control card 115 intended to manage the operation of at least one of the two motors 110 and 112. In a preferred embodiment of the projector device according to the invention, the electronic card 115 manages the operation of the first motor 110 and the second motor 112. This provides a significant space saving in the embodiment of the projector device. The electronic card 115 may be equipped with a sensor of the hall effect sensor type 116 which enables it to know precisely, at each instant, an angle of rotation, with respect to a reference angle, of the projector device related to the implementation. of the DBL function.
  • a metal conduction piece 117 supporting a set of connection tongues 118 which are intended to come into contact with different tracks of the electronic card 115, essentially to ensure the power supply of the card and the power supply of the first motor 110 and in the second engine 112. In a particular manufacturing process of the projector device according to the invention, it is possible, before pouring the liquefied plastic material, the metal part 117 supporting the various connection tongues 118 in a mold intended to manufacture the housing mobile 119, then we cut, once the monoblock part unmolded, the different connecting tabs so that they are no longer conductive between them. Such a manufacturing method makes it possible to dispense with a successive arrangement, which is difficult to make, of connection tongues.
  • a rotating housing 119, with respect to a fixed frame 120 visible in FIGS. 3 and 4, of the projector device, along a substantially vertical axis and perpendicular to the optical axis. Fixed frame of the projector device means a room that is not likely to move in the projector device. By substantially vertical axis is an axis perpendicular to a section defined by a road on which the motor vehicle comprising the projector device according to the invention, to one or two degrees. The mobile housing 119 consists essentially of a frame having a central opening 137 to be traversed by the reflector 101 during assembly of the various elements constituting the projector device.
    The mobile housing 119 has, moreover, formed in its thickness, a set of compartments to receive and / or maintain the various elements that have just been mentioned. There is thus, in the example shown, a first compartment 121 for receiving and maintaining the first motor 110; a second compartment 122 for receiving and holding the second motor 112; a third compartment 123 for receiving and holding the electronic card 115. In the embodiment shown, the third compartment 123 is formed in a side portion of the frame constituting the rotating housing 119. Such an arrangement on the side of the device projector, makes it possible to move the electronic card 115 as far as possible away from the highest heat zones of the projector device. The relative position of the first motor 110, second motor 112 and the electronic control card 115 requires the metal conduction piece 117 to have an angled shape, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in order to ensure the connection between these elements. different elements.
    The mobile housing 119 also has two circular protuberances 124, located at a central portion of an upper face and a lower face of its frame, which are intended to be engaged in cavities provided for this purpose of the frame fixed 120 of the projector device according to the invention, to allow the rotational movement of the DBL function.
    The mobile housing 119 finally has at least one first holding member 125 and a second holding member 126, visible in Figure 4, for receiving the ends 108 of the support rod of the pivoting flap 106; once the pivoting flap 106 is held by the holding elements 125 and 126, it can move in rotation about an axis of rotation, called the axis of rotation of the pivoting flap, defined by a line passing through the center of the two elements. maintaining said right being roughly materialized by the rod. A clearance 127 is provided in the structure of the mobile housing 119 to allow the gear wheel 107 to rotate.
  • a cover 128, intended in particular to close the different compartments that have just been mentioned, to ensure the sealing of these compartments.

Figures 3 and 4 show, showing different views of the projector device according to the assembled invention, the interactions between the various elements involved in the actuators for the implementation of the first function and the second function.

For the implementation of the DBL function, a fixed tooth sector 129 is used, which remains stationary relative to the fixed frame 120, for example by being fixed directly to the fixed frame 120. The fixed toothed sector 129 collaborates with the second pinion 114 for driving the mobile housing 119 in rotation about an axis of rotation shown by the two circular protuberances 124, rotation illustrated in Figure 3 by a first arrow 130. For this purpose, the fixed tooth sector is at least partially circular . Thus, when the second motor 112 is active, it rotates the worm 113, which itself drives in rotation the second pinion 114 which moves along the fixed tooth sector 129 thus causing the movement of the mobile housing 119.

In the example shown, the second gear 114 consists of a first stage 131 and a second stage 132, the first stage and the second stage respectively corresponding to a first gear wheel and a second gear wheel, the two wheels teeth being coaxial and of different diameter. Such a structure makes it possible to respect a ratio of reduction between the speed of rotation imposed by the motor and an angular speed which the projector device must respect when it evolves in rotation to implement the DBL function. Moreover, it is sufficient, with regard to the range of angles to be covered by the moving headlamp device within the framework of the DBL function, that the fixed tooth sector 129 is limited to a quarter circle.

For the implementation of the first function, namely the tilting of the pivoting flap 106, activates the first motor 110 which, by means of a motor rod not visible in the figures, drives in rotation the first gear 111 which was previously, during assembly of the various elements constituting the projector device, meshing into the toothed wheel 107. The latter being secured to the pivoting flap 106, it drives in rotation about an axis of rotation materialized by the two circular tips 108, rotation illustrated in Figure 4 by a second arrow 133.

The two actuators allowing the implementation of the first function and the second function thus constitute a single actuator block: the first motor 110 and the second motor 112, as well as the various elements involved in the kinematic chains allowing the movement of the target elements. (The pivoting flap 106 or the rotating mobile housing 119) are maintained or attached to different compartments of the same element, the mobile housing 119. The latter, in the example shown, thus comprises, in addition to the various compartments and elements of maintenance previously mentioned, at least one holding pin 134, each holding pin 134 being intended to be introduced into a circular opening 135 of the reflector 101, and a circular opening 136 of the photometric plate 105 to maintain these two elements.

Thus, thanks to the projector device according to the invention, the number of parts involved in the realization of the two functions is reduced: by integrating the different elements of the two actuators in - or on - the rotating mobile housing 119, it is not possible to does not use a specific housing for each actuator; this limits the mounting difficulties of the projector device and the risk of mutual blocking, mentioned above, of the two functions. Furthermore, the projector device proposed in the invention constitutes a standard that can fulfill either the first function, or the second function, or both functions: it suffices, in the first case and the second case, to remove the actuator that will not be used, and to adapt the electronic means, here the electronic card 115, accordingly. The projector device according to the invention can be used both as a left projector and right projector of a vehicle.
