Die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen eine Ausführungsform, bei der die beidseits auf einen, auf dem Rücken stehend transportierten Buchblock 2 einwirkende Antriebsvorrichtung 10 aus jeweils einem auf einer Seite des Förderweges 3, umlaufenden Antriebsband 15 bzw. Zugmittel besteht, die um senkrechte Achsen antreibbarer Rollen 17, 18, 19; 20, 21, 22 angetrieben sind. Die Rollenanordnungen sind vorteilhaft so gewählt, dass die Antriebsbänder 15, 16 jeweils Fördertrums 23, 24 bilden, die einen sich in Förderrichtung F (flach) verengenden Einzugsresp. Förderspalt 25 begrenzen, so dass die Buchblocks 2 schonend durch die Fördertrums 23, 24 erfasst werden können. Von den Rollenanordnungen 17 bis 19, 20 bis 22 ist wenigstens eine 17, 18, 19 an einer Seite eines Buchblocks 2 mittels Feder nachgiebig abgestützt. Eine entsprechende Abstützvorrichtung 26 ist in Fig. 2 veranschaulicht. Der Antrieb der Rollenanordnungen erfolgt jeweils über Rolle 17, 20, wie in Fig. 1 schematisch festgehalten. Hierzu ist ein Elektromotor 27 mit einem Getriebe vorgesehen, der über ein Verteilgetriebe 28 einerseits mit dem Förderband 9 und andererseits mit den Rollen 17, 20 der Antriebsvorrichtung 10 antriebsverbunden ist. Daraus ergibt sich eine feste Antriebskoppelung zwischen Förderband 9 und Antriebsvorrichtung 10.
Selbstverständlich könnten Förderband 9 und die Antriebsvorrichtung 10 eigene drehwinkelgesteuerte Antriebsmotoren aufweisen, mit denen sich das Geschwindigkeitsverhältnis von Förderband 9 und der Antriebsvorrichtung 10 einstellen bzw. verändern lässt.
Dadurch, dass die Antriebsvorrichtung 10 bzw. die Rollenanordnungen 17, 18, 19; 20, 21, 22 einen Druck auf die Seitenflächen der auf dem Rücken stehend transportierten Buchblocks 2, 2' ausüben, entsteht ein Rollreibungsschluss zwischen Buchblock 2 und den Fördertrums 25 der Antriebsbänder 15, 16, der sich auf einen Reibungsabschnitt der Antriebsbänder 15, 16 erstreckt. Eine ähnliche Reibungswirkung tritt beispielsweise auch dort ein, wo anstelle von Rollenanordnungen jeweils eine um eine senkrechte Achse angetriebene Rolle zum Transport der Buchblocks 2 eingesetzt wird.
