Abstract

The invention concerns a method for hair decoration which consists in applying on the hair one or several ribbons comprising a support in the form of a thin plastic film with its surface coated with a decorative element in the form of a deposition of material having a colour different from that of the hair, said decorative element being itself coated with an adhesive layer capable of being activated by a suitable means. The heating clip (1) seizes a hair lock (3) and a ribbon (2) and, under the effect of the pressure and the duration of the application, transfers onto the hair the decoration provided on the ribbon. Further, an additional form of execution is represented wherein the user uses a marking set comprising a hair clip (5) with a device for fixing the ribbon (2), the heating clip (1) and the ribbon itself.

Description

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to a hair decoration process and more specifically to the realization of colored decorative effects of hair and a device for this purpose.

State of the art

Description of a preferred embodiment of the invention

In the technique illustrated in the figures, a heating device consisting of two gripper pads is brought near the hairline. In the apparatus 1 in the open position initially, there is a ribbon 2 consisting of a support covered with a decorative element obtained by sublimation, metallization, etc. as well as an adhesive layer, the latter being turned towards the lock of hair. The heating clip preferably comprises a groove-shaped profile 6 on the upper pad and a resilient surface 7 on the pad being in direct contact with the lock of hair. Figures 12 and 13 show the removal of the support of the decorative portion of the ribbon and a realignment of the lock of hair 3 (Figure 13).

Of course, there are a large number of operating variants, the three embodiments described have been only as an illustration.

Claims (6)

1. Method for decorating hair by applying to the hair one or several strips comprising a support in the form of a thin plastic film coated on its surface with a decorative element in the form of the deposition of material having a colour that is different from that of the hair, this decorative element being itself coated with an adhesive layer that can be activated by an appropriate means.
2. Method according to Claim 1, characterised in that the adhesive layer is activated by a thermal process or by a wet process, or by a combination of these techniques.
3. Method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the activation is the result of three separate parameters, namely the temperature, the duration and the pressure of application of the strip.
4. Method according to Claim 1, characterised in that the activation is the result of a lacquer or similar, applied in advance to the hair.
5. Method according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that several strips of the same colour or of different colours are used contiguously, i.e. the strips are arranged next to each other or these same strips are spaced out leaving locks of hair with no colour other than their natural colour or previously dyed by a traditional technique; or the device for activating the adhesive layer "prints" a pattern on the hair, by making only a localised transfer, i.e. by transferring only a part of the above-mentioned decorative element; or the decorative element only covers a part of the support depending on the pattern, or the adhesive layer may have only been provided in some areas depending on the pattern.
6. Method according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the strip comprises materials in the form of coloured particles usually applied during the manufacture of the strip by coating or printing in the presence of a suitable binding agent.
