Claims (8)

  1. Assemblage de culbuteur pour activer de manière variable une soupape à gaz dans un moteur à combustion interne, ledit assemblage de culbuteur (10) ayant au moins deux configurations pour faire varier sa capacité de levée de soupapes, ledit assemblage de culbuteur comprenant
    un élément de verrouillage (48) mobile entre une première position pour donner une première configuration d'assemblage de culbuteur et une deuxième position pour donner une deuxième configuration d'assemblage de culbuteur ;
    un moyen d'actionnement de verrouillage (30) comprenant un piston (34) agencé en va et vient dans un alésage de piston (36) et couplé audit élément de verrouillage (48) pour déplacer ledit élément de verrouillage de ladite première position à ladite deuxième position, dans lequel ledit piston (34) a une tête de piston avec une surface de pression (42) définissant avec une paroi de côté latéral (38) et une paroi d'extrémité (40) dudit alésage de piston (36) une chambre hydraulique (44), ladite chambre hydraulique (44) comprenant une entrée (46) pour un fluide hydraulique sous pression de manière à déplacer ledit piston (34) sous l'action de la pression hydraulique ; et
    dans lequel ladite tête de piston comprend un axe en saillie (54) s'étendant vers ladite paroi d'extrémité (40) de manière à former une surface de pression étagée ;
    ce par quoi lesdites chambre hydraulique (44) et surface de pression (42) de piston sont conçues de telle manière que, dans une première position dudit piston (34), seule une première aire de ladite surface de pression (42) est exposée au fluide hydraulique sous pression et, à partir d'une deuxième position dudit piston (34), une deuxième aire de ladite surface de pression (42), plus grande que ladite première aire, est exposée au fluide hydraulique sous pression ;
    caractérisée en ce que
    ladite entrée (46) pour le fluide hydraulique sous pression est agencée dans ladite paroi d'extrémité (40) dudit alésage de piston (38) ; et
    ledit axe en saillie (54) obstrue ladite entrée (46) lorsque ledit piston (34) est dans ladite première position
  2. Assemblage de culbuteur selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que ladite première aire représente une portion mineure de ladite surface de pression (42) et ladite deuxième aire représente une portion prédominante de ladite surface de pression (42)
  3. Assemblage de culbuteur selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que ladite deuxième aire correspond à l'aire totale de ladite surface de pression (42), ladite première aire comprise.
  4. Assemblage de culbuteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par un culbuteur principal (12) ayant un corps (14) comprenant un raccord (18) pour engager un pivot (19) à une première extrémité et ayant un moyen d'interface (20) pour engager une tige de soupape (21) à une deuxième extrémité dudit corps (14).
  5. Assemblage de culbuteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que ledit moyen d'actionnement de verrouillage (30) est prévu dans ledit corps (14) de culbuteur principal.
  6. Assemblage de culbuteur selon la revendication 4 et 5, caractérisé en ce que
    un canal d'admission (49) connecte ledit raccord (18) à ladite entrée (46) dans ladite paroi d'extrémité (40) de ladite chambre hydraulique (44) ; et
    ledit pivot (19) est un dispositif hydraulique de rattrapage de jeu ayant une partie de nez engageant ledit raccord (18) et prévu avec un alésage pour ledit fluide hydraulique
  7. Assemblage de culbuteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par un moyen de ressort (50) pour précontraindre ledit élément de verrouillage (48) dans une direction opposée à la direction dans laquelle ledit piston (34) est déplacé du fait de l'action du fluide hydraulique sur ladite surface de pression (42) du piston.
  8. Assemblage de culbuteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par deux culbuteurs latéraux, un de chaque côté dudit culbuteur principal (12), dans laquelle ledit élément de verrouillage (48), dans sa deuxième position, engage les surfaces de verrouillage en coopération desdits culbuteurs latéraux
