Method of recognising the quantity of dishes in the rinsing container of a dishwashing machine, characterised in that not only the motor operating data of a circulating pump, but also the heat rise in the dishwashing machine are detected at least in a prewashing phase and in a heating-up phase and the detected actual values are compared with filed target values, the quantity of dishes in the rinsing container is established on the basis of this target value and actual value comparison and the washing program is appropriately adapted on the basis of the established quantity of dishes.
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the measurement of the motor operating data and heat rise is carried out at specific time intervals.
  3. Dishwashing machine for carrying out the method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that not only the motor operating data of the circulating pump, but also the heat rise are detected in the dishwashing machine by means of suitable sensors at least in a prewashing phase and in a heating-up phase and that the dishwashing machine has a program control, in which the detected actual values are compared with filed target values, the quantity of dishes in the rinsing container is established on the basis of this target value and actual value comparison and the washing program is appropriately adapted on the basis of the established quantity of dishes.
