Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for forming packages of loosely stacked printed products with at least two conveyors and a depositing device, wherein the first conveyor promotes printed products with the proviso to the depositing device, that the stored in the depositing printed matter with its back facing a first side of the depositing device wherein the second conveyor promotes printed matter with the proviso to the depositing device, that the stored in the depositing printed products facing with their backs a second, the first side opposite the depositing device, wherein the printed products alternately with the first conveyor and with the second conveyor can be stored in the depositing device.
  • Such a device is for example off DE-A-2009373 known.
  • Printed products means in the context of the invention, in particular magazines, brochures or catalogs. After printing, these printed products must be grouped into stacks or packages for storage and / or transportation. In these stacks or packages, however, not all printed products can be stacked with their backs oriented in the same direction. This would lead to bulky package aggregates, which are not suitable for further handling or for further transport. Therefore, it is already known to form the stacks or packages of sub-stacks, wherein in a package alternately sub-stacks are arranged one above the other, in which the backs of the printed products are oriented in one direction or in the opposite other direction.
  • a device of the last mentioned type is made DE-OS 2 009 373 known.
  • This device has two conveyors for the printed products.
  • a first conveyor is provided with a turning device or reversing device equipped, which turns the printed products around 180 ° around the flow axis.
  • This turning device consists of two endless conveyor belts, which are in frictional engagement with each other in the turning area.
  • the printed products can be detected by the opposing surfaces of the conveyor belts and rotated by 180 °.
  • this known device has not proven itself. While the goal is achieved that the printed matter or sub-stacks of printed products can be stacked alternately with opposite back orientation in the stack, these stacked printed products leave much to be desired in terms of their quality or in terms of their external appearance. In fact, these printed products stacked with the known device frequently have waves, kinks and even cracks.
  • the conveyor belt sections are each rotated by 180 ° in the crossing region also means within the scope of the invention that they are twisted by approximately 180 °.
  • the conveyor belt sections are each rotated about the longitudinal axis of the respective conveyor belt section. It should be emphasized that in the device according to the invention or in the turning device according to the invention only a single endless turning conveyor belt is used, which is rotated twice by 180 °. Between the intersecting conveyor belt sections of one and the same conveyor belt, the printed products or sub-convolutions of printed products are taken up according to the invention and rotated by 180 °.
  • conveyor belt section can not designate a specific or concrete section of the turning conveyor belt because, due to the endless circulation of the turning conveyor belt, another section always reaches the intersection area and then forms the conveyor belt section which is rotated there, or There it has the rotation by 180 °.
  • the invention is based on the finding that with the device according to the invention comprising the specially designed turning device, printed products can be stacked into packages without these printed products having undesired damages, such as kinks, undulations or cracks. With the device so printed products with optimal or undiminished quality can be stacked in a simple and reliable manner to the packages and thereby the backs of the printed products or sub-stacks of printed products can be oriented functionally alternately to one or the other side of the package.
  • printed products are in the context of the invention, in particular flexible printed matter such as magazines, magazines u. Like. Meant. These flexible printed products are particularly sensitive and it is precisely these flexible printed products that can be handled simply, functionally reliable and without damage with the aid of the device according to the invention. In that regard, flexible printed products differ for example from hardcover printed products.
  • the device has only two conveyors and a depositing device. It is within the scope of the invention that only one of the two conveyors has a turning device according to the invention. - Part of the depositing device is a packet table on which the printed products are at least ultimately stored.
  • a sectionkonvolut of printed products in the depositing device is stored as a partial stack.
  • a second partial convolute of printed products is then deposited as a partial stack in the depositing device by the other, for example by the second conveying device.
  • a partial convoy as a partial stack of the first conveyor is stored in the depositing device, and so on, until a stack of printed products is completed.
  • This package is conveyed out of the depositing device.
  • Partial convolution of printed products means a plurality of printed products, in particular two to ten, preferably three to eight printed products.
  • the printed products of a sub-batch are preferably stacked on top of each other. If the printed products are then stored in the depositing device, partial stacks form, in which the edges of the printed products are aligned, ie are arranged exactly one above the other, namely "back to back". The backs of the printed products in directly stacked sub-stacks point in opposite directions.
  • a device for generating scale-like superimposed printed products is provided and that these scale-like superimposed printed products are introduced into the conveyors and conveyed by the conveyors.
  • a distribution device is provided, with which a partial convolute of printed products of the first conveyor or a partial convolution of printed products of the second conveyor can be fed alternately.
  • the distribution device may be, for example, a switch device.
  • the distribution device works expediently with the proviso that first one, for example, the first conveyor a Sectionkonvolut of printed matter is supplied and then the second conveyor a Generalkonvolut of printed matter is supplied, and then again the first conveyor another Operakonvolut is supplied and so on ,
  • successive partial convolutions of printed products can be conveyed with each of the two conveyors, each with a certain spacing.
  • the distances of the sub-convolutes in the promotion in the conveyors are set up with the proviso that an alternate storage of Operakonvoluten from the first and the second conveyor in the depositing device is possible.
  • both the first and the second conveyor endlessly circulating conveyor belts with which the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are conveyed.
  • Conveyor belts means in the context of the invention, in particular conveyor belts.
  • a reversible conveyor according to the invention is in particular a reversible conveyor belt.
  • a conveyor is set up so that in each case at least one conveyor belt rests on the underside of the printed products and in each case at least one conveyor belt on the upper side of the printed products during conveying. The printed products are thus received frictionally between at least two conveyor belts and transported in an endless movement of the conveyor belts. It is within the scope of the invention that a conveyor belt of a conveyor is narrower than a printed product or as a partial convolution of printed products.
  • the printed products or a partial convolution of printed products are turned.
  • Turning means that the top sides or title pages of the printed products are oriented in the opposite direction after turning. So if the top or title page was oriented upwards before turning, so the top or title page is oriented after turning downwards.
  • the turning of the printed products therefore takes place so that in the end of the Partial bundle formed package on all printed products the same page, especially the title page, oriented upwards. It is within the scope of the invention that the turning of the printed products in continuous operation, that is carried out with continuous further promotion of the printed products.
  • the two conveyor belt sections of the reversible conveyor belt are frictionally engaged with each other in the crossing area.
  • the conveyor belt sections can only bear against each other directly by friction when no printed products are conveyed between the conveyor belt sections. Otherwise, the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are received by friction between the surfaces of the conveyor belt sections. The top of the printed products is then on the surface of a conveyor belt section and the underside of the printed products is applied to the opposite surface of the other conveyor belt section.
  • the endless reversible conveyor belt has two circulation bends and the two intersecting conveyor belt sections connect the circulation bends with each other.
  • the circulation bends and the conveyor belt sections are not always formed by the same section of the turning conveyor belt, because due to the endless circulation always other sections or regions of the turning conveyor belt form the circulation bends or the conveyor belt sections.
  • the endless turning conveyor belt runs in the form of an 8.
  • the width b of the reversible conveyor belt is less than the width or the height of the printed products.
  • the width b of the reversible conveyor belt is 4 to 20 cm, preferably 5 to 18 cm and preferably 5 to 15 cm.
  • Width b of the reversible conveyor belt means the extent of the reversible conveyor belt transversely to its longitudinal direction or longitudinal axis.
  • the turning conveyor on one side or on a surface at least one extending in the longitudinal direction of the turning conveyor belt and emerging from the belt surface guide belt.
  • the guide belt expediently engages in correspondingly complementary guide grooves of the guide rollers.
  • the guide belt may also be a toothed belt.
  • spaced apart guide elements which protrude from the belt surface and engage in the endless running of the turning conveyor belt in corresponding complementary guide grooves of the guide rollers.
  • the first conveying device preferably has a first transfer end for the printed products, which is arranged on one side, in particular on the first side of the depositing device or of the package table.
  • the second conveyor has a second transfer end for the printed products, which is arranged on the other opposite side, in particular the second side of the depositing device or the package table.
  • the supply of the printed products or the sub-convolutions of printed products thus takes place from two opposite sides of the depositing device or the packet table. It is within the scope of the invention that the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products of the Conveyors can be fed to the transfer ends with the proviso that the printed products have the same orientation both with respect to the first transfer end and with respect to the second transfer end.
  • Orientation refers to the orientation of the back or the opposite front edge of the printed products.
  • the back of the printed products is oriented both in the conveying direction at the first transfer end and at the second transfer end. Since the printed products are fed to the depositing device or the package table from two opposite sides, the inventive arrangement of the partial stacks thus results in a package in which two partial stacks arranged directly above one another have opposite orientations of the backs of their printed products.
  • the depositing device of the device according to the invention on a packet table and at least one arranged above the packet table clipboard, wherein the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are first stored on the clipboard and can be stored from the clipboard to the packet table arranged thereunder.
  • at least two clipboards are provided above the packet table, more preferably three clipboards. With the help of these clipboards it is achieved that the drop height of the printed products or the partial stack of printed products can be reduced, so that a very gentle treatment of the printed products takes place.
  • This inventive design of the depositing device with at least one clipboard has proven itself in the context of the device according to the invention.
  • the device according to the invention With the device according to the invention a very rapid continuous operation or formation of packages of printed products is possible. Unwanted rest periods or breaks must during operation of the Device according to the invention are not complied with.
  • the operating speed is 40% and more higher than other known devices, which work in particular cyclically. -
  • the device due to the special design of the turning device a surprisingly gentle and damage-free promotion of the printed products is possible.
  • the invention is based on the recognition that when using only a single reversing conveyor belt in the embodiment according to the invention an optimal synchronous operation of the printed products between receiving conveyor sections is possible.
