Claims (20)
- Procédé pour stabiliser les bords d'un voile non tissé, dans lequel le tissu est obtenu (A) en cardant ou filant en continu des fibres longues (Fl), en déposant (B) lesdites fibres longues (Fl) sur une surface de support mobile (3) ayant une vitesse d'avancement prédéterminée (S) pour former un voile (V) ayant des bords latéraux sensiblement rectilignes (B, B'), en déposant (C) une couche de fibres courtes (Fc) sur ledit voile (V), en réunissant (E) ladite couche de fibres courtes (Fc) audit voile (V) pour former le tissu non tissé, caractérisé en ce qu'avant de déposer (C) les fibres courtes, on recouvre au moins partiellement les bords latéraux (B, B') du voile (V) et on les comprime au moins partiellement contre la surface de support mobile (3) pour empêcher les fibres courtes de se déposer dans lesdites zones, pour éliminer l'éventuelle turbulence aérodynamique ainsi que pour augmenter la stabilité et pour éviter les boucles ou plis dans le tissu le long de ses bords (B, B') indépendamment de la vitesse d'avancement et de la longueur des fibres longues qui ont été déposées.
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'action de recouvrement et de compression est exercée le long des bords longitudinaux (B, B') du voile (V) sur une longueur qui correspond au moins à la zone de dépose des fibres courtes.
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'action de recouvrement et de compression est exercée le long des bords longitudinaux (B, B') du voile sur une largeur transversale minimale prédéterminée (W).
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'action de recouvrement et compression sur les bords (B, B') est exercée par une paire de plaques longitudinales (10, 10') qui s'étendent au-dessus desdits bords (B, B') en contact avec la courroie transporteuse sans empêcher le libre avancement du voile (V).
- Procédé selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que ladite largeur transversale minimale de recouvrement et de compression prédéterminée (W) est de 10 à 100 mm.
- Procédé selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que la pression desdites plaques (10, 10') contre la surface de support mobile (3) peut être réglée en modifiant la pression exercée le long desdits bords en fonction du type de voile.
- Procédé selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que les fibres courtes en excès sur ladite surface de support mobile (3) sont éliminées par aspiration en aval de ladite zone de dépose des fibres courtes, en dehors des bords (B, B') du voile, sensiblement dans l'alignement desdites plaques de recouvrement et de compression (10, 10') pour éviter que les fibres longues du voile (V) ne soient elles aussi entraînées.
- Procédé selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que lesdites fibres courtes comprennent de la pâte de bois.
- Dispositif pour stabiliser les bords (B, B') d'un voile non tissé, pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, lequel dispositif est applicable à une unité (2) de dépose de fibres courtes agencée en aval d'une station destinée à filer en continu un voile de fibres longues (V) entraîné sur une surface de support mobile (3), le dispositif étant caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des moyens (6, 6') pour recouvrir et comprimer les bords longitudinaux du voile dans la zone de dépose des fibres courtes, de manière à les empêcher de se déposer le long desdits bords et à accroître la stabilité du voile, en évitant ainsi toute boucle ou pli sur ce voile.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de recouvrement et de compression (6, 6') sont agencés au-dessus de ladite courroie, le long de ladite unité, pour comprimer les fibres dudit voile contre ladite surface de support mobile (3).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de recouvrement et de compression (6, 6') sont fixés de façon amovible à ladite unité de dépose de fibres courtes (2) par des moyens de liaison appropriés (7).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 11, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de liaison (7) sont positionnés à une distance transversale réglable pour s'ajuster à la largeur du voile (V).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 11, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de liaison (7) comprennent des moyens de réglage pour commander la pression exercée sur lesdits bords.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 11, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de recouvrement et de compression (6, 6') comprennent au moins une paire de plaques longitudinales (10, 10') ayant des portions d'extrémité recourbées qui définissent des ressorts de torsion dont une extrémité est fixée auxdits moyens de réglage.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 14, caractérisé en ce lesdites plaques ont une largeur transversale (H) de plus d'au moins 10 mm.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 14, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de réglage comprennent des tiges (8, 9) servant à faire tourner lesdites portions d'extrémité (11, 12) desdites plaques (10, 10'), lesdites tiges (8, 9) étant adaptées pour appliquer auxdites portions des couples de flexion agissant dans des plans sensiblement verticaux.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 14, caractérisé en ce que lesdites feuilles (10, 10') sont faites d'une matière métallique élastique telle que l'acier, ou d'une matière synthétique élastique telle qu'un plastique renforcé.
- Dispositif selon la revendication -9, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des moyens (16) destinés à aspirer des fibres courtes en excès sur ladite surface de support mobile (3), lesdits moyens d'aspiration étant constitués par au moins une paire d'entrées (16) placées sur des côtés opposés de ladite surface de support mobile (3) à une distance prédéterminée desdits bords (B, B'), sensiblement dans l'alignement desdites feuilles de recouvrement et de compression (6, 6') pour éviter que les fibres longues du voile ne soient elles aussi entraînées et ne bouchent lesdites entrées.
- Machine pour la fabrication d'un voile non tissé à bords stabilisés, comprenant une station de filage continu d'un voile de fibres longues, une unité destinée à déposer des fibres courtes sur le voile, une station destinée à réunir lesdites fibres courtes audit voile pour former le tissu, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un dispositif de stabilisation des bords du voile selon une ou plusieurs des revendications 9 à 18.
- Tissu non tissé comprenant un voile de fibres longues cardées ou filées recouvert d'une couche de fibres courtes qui sont entrelacées avec ledit voile de fibres longues, caractérisé en ce qu'il possède des bords latéraux longitudinaux (B, B') stabilisés par le procédé et le dispositif selon une ou plusieurs des revendications 1 à 18, et en utilisant une machine selon la revendication 19.
