Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a display device for a watch of the type comprising a movement provided with a frame and a display member, movable in rotation about an axis.
  • the display is made, generally by means of hands mounted on a movement mobile, one hand per function displayed.
  • the number of hands is large and tends to overload the dial.
  • the object of the present invention is to simplify the display by ensuring the indication of at least two pieces of information with the same organ.
  • the display device comprises:
  • a display mobile pivotally mounted on the frame around said axis and arranged to carry said member, • first and second information wheels, the angular position of each of which depends on the state of the information to which it is associated,
  • first and second connecting members intended to connect the first and second information wheels respectively to the display mobile and to position it so that said display member occupies a position corresponding to the state of said function
  • a manual control member cooperating with the connecting members so that either one or the other provides the link between the information wheel with which it is associated and the display mobile.
  • the control member the user can control the display of one or the other of the information, one or the other of the connection members kinematically connecting one of the information wheels to the display mobile, so that the display mobile has a position corresponding to the angular position of the information wheel concerned.
  • the first information wheel is coaxial with the display mobile and that the first connecting member comprises a cam and a hammer provided with an elastic member arranged to keep the hammer in abutment against the cam, one being mounted on the display mobile, the other on the first information wheel. In this way, as long as the control member is not activated, the display mobile is rotated in synchronism with the first information wheel.

  • the hammer 122 is applied against the cam 124d.
  • the display mobile 124 is rotated by the roadway 116, by means of the hammer 122 and the cam 124d, performing one revolution in sixty minutes. This situation is illustrated in Figure 7a.
  • the barrel 124c carries a hand 126 which, under the conditions described above, therefore displays the minute of current time.
  • the hour wheel 120 is offset from the center of the movement. It comprises a board 120a provided with a toothing 120b at its periphery which meshes with the pinion of the timer wheel 118. It is arranged to rotate freely on a tube 128 driven onto the frame 110. It carries a hammer 130 pivotally mounted on a post 130a driven into the board 120a. This hammer 130 comprises a head 130b and a shank 130c arranged on either side of the pivot point, the function of which will be specified below.
  • the board 120a has an opening 120c in the form of an annular portion and extending over an angle of approximately 90 ° (FIGS. 7a and 7b).
  • a control wheel 132 is mounted coaxially with the hour wheel 120 around the tube 128. It comprises a board 132a interposed between the wheel 120 and the frame 110 and provided, at its periphery, with teeth 132b. A pin 132c is driven into the board, arranged so that it is engaged in the opening 120c and protrudes from this opening, extending in the thickness of the hammer 130, and arranged so as to cooperate with the tail 130c.
  • the boards 120a and 132a are each provided with a hole identified by the letter e.
  • a wire spring 134 is interposed between these boards, its ends being engaged in the holes 120e and 132e ( Figures 7a and 7b).
  • the display device further comprises a wheel 136 comprising, rigidly integral with each other, a board 136a provided with teeth 136b at its periphery, a shaft 136c rigidly fixed to the board 136a and pivotally engaged in the tube 128, as well as a cam 136d, interposed between the boards 136a and 132a, at the same level as the hammer 130.
  • the wheel 136 has the same diameter and the same number of teeth as the indication wheel 124 with which it is connected kinematically by means of a reference 138 pivotally mounted on the frame 110.
  • the hand 126 carried by the indication wheel 124, displays the information defined by the angular position of the minute wheel 114 when the device is in the position illustrated in the figure 7a.
  • the pin 132c moves in the opening 120c. During this movement, it comes to bear against the tail 130c of the hammer 130 and raises it, so that the head 130c is pushed against the cam 136d and exerts a pressure which causes the rotation of the wheel 136 until it is in press on the most central part of the cam 136d. In this position, the wheel 136 occupies an angular position corresponding to that of the hour wheel 120.
  • the tail 130c is arranged so that the pin 132c is held in its extreme position, which corresponds to a function notch.
  • the wheel 136 As the reference 138 connects the wheel 136 to the indication wheel 124, the latter is also driven in rotation.
  • the wheels 124 and 136 having the same number of teeth, they rotate in the same direction and at the same speed as the hour wheel 120. Pavement 116 is not involved in this movement.
  • the hammer 122 is therefore lifted. In other words, the movement of the wheel 132 with reference to the hour wheel 120 changes the display from the indication of the minutes to that of the hours.
  • the device according to the invention further comprises a control 140 slidingly mounted on the frame 110, a rake 142 disposed in the vicinity, the same new as the wheel 132, and controlled by a finger 140a that includes the control 140 and a spring 144 cooperating with the rake 142 to maintain it, in the rest position, in the position shown in FIG. 7a.
  • a pusher not shown in the drawing, mounted sliding in the watch case, cooperates with the control 140 and pushes it in the direction of the axis A-A.
  • the finger 140a tilted the rake 142, which drives with it the wheel 132, which controls the display of the time, by the process which has just been described.
  • the spring 144 returns the rake 142 to its starting position which, by this movement, rotates the wheel 132. In this way, the pin 132c no longer retains the tail 130c of the hammer 130
  • the spring 134 participates in this movement and reposition the wheel 132 in a position relative to the wheel 120 corresponding to that shown in FIG. 7a, the hand 126 therefore displaying the minutes again.
