Definitions
- the invention relates to a sound-absorbing, sheet-like or layered foam material, in particular for lining soundproof hoods and housings, Hoods and the like.
- the purpose of sound absorption is to obtain the highest possible sound from the incident sound wave Dissipate or absorb energy components.
- the highest energy level of a sound wave is in the range of maximum amplitude, d. H. the vibration of the air particles vertically to the propagation direction, which is highest at ⁇ / 2 and 3 ⁇ 4 ⁇ .
- a sound frequency of 1000 Hz the result is a wavelength of, taking into account the speed of sound 0.33 m, the maximum amplitude occurring at 8 or 24 cm.
- the invention is based on the object, the sound absorption effect in a layered Significantly improve foam material without increasing the layer thickness got to.
- This object is achieved in that facing the sound incidence on the Surface of the foam layer a film over elevations and depressions the foam material is stretched so that the film in the region of the dome-shaped Ridges on the foam material is flat and at a distance above the wells strained.
- This embodiment achieves sound absorption values that are clear higher than a foam layer of constant thickness and the same Volume per unit area, given a corresponding volume per unit area starting with a foam layer according to the invention.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically a cross section through a layer 1 of polyurethane foam.
- the the back of the foam layer facing away from the sound incidence which on a not shown Cladding wall comes to concern, may be flat while the sound incidence facing surface with mutually offset convex Raises 1a and intervening concave recesses 1b is provided.
- About these wavy surface is stretched elastic, soft film 2, which at the elevations 1a lies flat against the crests and in the region of the recesses 1b a distance from the Foam surface has 1c.
- the elastic film 2 by gluing or melting with the Foam material of the layer 1 may be connected. This results in a mass-spring system in this area for sound absorption.
- These film absorber regions 2a can be used in the Top view of the surface have an approximately circular shape.
- the film 2 is so large connected to the crests 1a, that Also, the saddle located between the tips 1a 'and 1a "in Fig. 1 is applied to the film.
- the film 2 surrounds about the above Centerline lying wave areas 2a, wherein the film areas 2b approximately on the center line lie the wavy line.
- these Film absorber regions 2a surrounding the intermediate membrane absorber region 2b which has a circular shape.
- the film 2 is airtight and it may have a thickness of, for example, about 40 ⁇ to have. You can z. B. made of polyurethane.
- the surface of the film can be water, oil and be formed fuel-tight.
- the airtight film 2 seals the surface and it It can be equipped with anti-fungicide to ensure protection against mold growth.
- the film 2 may have a thickness of 20 to 100 ⁇ , preferably 30 to 50 ⁇ .
- the film 2 is connected by fusing with the crests of the elevations 1a, wherein the film thickness in the contact area 2a by heat and stretching For example, it is reduced to 20 ⁇ while in the free area above the wells 1b retains the original strength of 40 ⁇ .
- This allows the Folienabsorber Schemee 2a are optimized by reducing the mass of the film 2, while at the same time the film. 2 in the membrane absorber region 2b, a thickness or mass favorable for a membrane absorber having.
- the film is stretched in the abutment region 2a at the crests of the elevations 1a, that it is microporous in this investment area 2a, while in the membrane absorber area 2b remains closed.
- These microporous areas are permeable to air, but not for water or oil due to their surface tension.
- the foam surface is preferably open-pored, in particular in the region 1c of the depressions. As a result, the sound absorption is favored.
- the smooth film 2 forms a seal of the open-pored structure of the foam surface.
- the film coverage of the cavities 3 in the profile of the foam surface results in a Membranabsorber Scheme 2b, in which the natural membrane frequencies of the film to deeper and medium frequency ranges can be designed so that in this area a optimal absorption results.
- the film absorber areas 2 a in which the film 2 on the Foam material rests, arises due to the low mass resistance of the film a sound-transmitting, damped system with an optimum of sound absorption in higher Frequency ranges.
- the membrane absorber area 2b results from the plant of the edges of the soft and elastic foam an acoustically damped edge region of the clamped film 2, whereby the effect of these membrane absorber regions 2b by the damped edge region is increased, are avoided by the disturbing resonances.
- the area of the overlying film is mainly in the middle to higher frequency range, ie more than 1000 Hz effective.
- the film is here on the Soft foam stored. By melting the film 2 on the foam material is also this melted in a thickness range of about 1/10 mm, whereby the film 2 is stored soft and swinging.
- the mass resistance of the film is in this range is not greater than the characteristic impedance of the air, d. H. the film thickness is like that designed to absorb all frequencies below a given maximum frequency. It should no reflection of the sound on the slide occur.
- the contact area of the film 2 on the foam material 1 can, for example, 40 to 60% of Depending on the design of the sound absorption.
- the outwardly convex shape of the film absorber regions 2a is also diffuse Sound incidence beneficial because of this waveform of the surface obliquely incident Components of the sound amplitude can be effectively absorbed, with the longitudinal extent the foam layer and thus a thicker effective foam layer for this obliquely incident or almost wall-parallel components is effective.
- Fig. 1 shows an approximately Sinusoidal cut line, with the free-clamped film area approximately at the zero line this sinusoidal line lies.
- the recesses 1b can also be designed deeper and in a different form be.
- Fig. 3 shows an embodiment with approximately rectangular depressions. Also in this embodiment, the film is soft stored or damped at the edges.
- the crests may be oval in plan view rather than circular in shape, so that also results in an oval abutment portion 2a of the film.
- the distance of the elevations 1 a can be varied, as also the height between increase and depression.
- the domed shape of the film absorber areas 2a may also be made flatter, while the membrane absorber regions 2b a larger Deepening can also have a different shape.
- the described surface structure of a foam layer can be independent of the Layer thickness can be provided. It also brings with it different types of foam material a significant improvement in the absorption effect.
- the Foil 2 uses the same material as for the foam 1, in particular polyurethane. As a result, a soft and oscillatory storage of the film 2 during melting achieved on the carrier foam 1.
- the surface structure or the surface profile is designed so that the film absorber areas 2a opposite to a noticeable enlargement of the surface a foam layer with a flat surface results.
- Fig. 2 shows the sound absorption of inventively designed foam layers at different average thickness dimensions depending on the Sound frequency. So it is at an average layer thickness of 30 mm and 630 Hz Absorption value ⁇ of about 0.84, where the value 1.0 corresponds to 100%.
- absorption value is in a foam layer of uniform thickness, ie without the Surface design according to the invention, a layer thickness of 110 mm needed. It results thus compared to a foam layer with a flat surface at the same volume per unit area a significant improvement of the sound absorption effect.
- the backside of the foam layer may be coated with a reinforcing material and it may also be self-adhesive to facilitate attachment to a wall.
- polyurethane foam is used as the foam material, which is about 80% has open cell and about 20% closed-cell structure.
