Definitions
- the invention relates to a blanket with a rigid elastic support plate on which at least one elastic layer with a dyeable surface is arranged, of which a printed image is transferable to a printing material web, wherein the two ends of the Carrier plate are not covered by the elastic layer and the two ends of the elastic layer are covered by a sealer.
- WO 01/70512 A1 discloses a blanket in which the flexible layers, i.e. the rubber layers with corresponding reinforcements of textile, one Covering layer - ie a printing layer and usually a compressible Layer are arranged on a rigid flexible support. Usually it is in this carrier to a metal plate. For cost reasons is often a Used steel plate on which the rubber layer structure fixed, i. usually glued on is. As stated, this construction consists at least of a cover layer whose Surface receives the printed image, for example, of an elastomeric material can exist. It is an advantage, but not mandatory, below the cover layer to provide a fabric insert. Usually, below the Tissue layer uses a layer of a compressible material, the air pockets may contain.
- This layer structure can be achieved by a bonding agent on the Support plate are fixed, with the leading and the trailing end of the Plate is not covered by the rubber layer structure, so only the thin ones Steel sheets must be inserted into the cylinder channel and fixed there. Thereby There is a significant reduction in the channel width, which is known to be essential Has advantages.
- WO 01/70512 A1 are thus the Ends the rubber layer above the cylinder channel opposite.
- a blanket is already known in which the rubber layer, like the printing blanket described above also has a layer structure consists of several layers, which is sealed at the two ends of the blanket.
- the sealant extends over the total height of the material thickness of the blanket layer structure and also covered by its approximately triangular cross-section partially the free ends of the metal layer to be inserted into the cylinder pit, i. the sheet metal plate.
- the thickness of the sealant in the form of an elastomeric pad to increase continuously in the direction of the metal plate, so that a significant large area of the elastomeric pad over the rubber plate or over one on the Rubber plate used adhesion promoter layer is formed. This should in particular Tangential forces are counteracted, especially at the base of the blanket, i.e. arise in the transition region of the elastomeric support or the sealer.
- the aforementioned known metal rubber blankets have the disadvantage that their life significantly below the life of conventional blankets without metal plate, although the above-described seal from the blanket surface until the steel sheet provides a complete seal.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically the basic structure of a known metal rubber blanket. with regard to the layer structure also in the metal rubber cloths according to the invention can be applied, but is also a different layer structure with a greater or lesser number of individual layers within the scope of the invention applicable.

- FIG. 2 shows a non-stretchable layer, for example a fabric layer 8, a compressible layer.
- FIG Layer 9 with air inclusions and an adhesive layer, for example an adhesive 10 include.
- Figure 1 reveals that the sealer 5 in known blankets in particular is very thin in the upper part of the multi-layered construction. This is especially true in the Area of the end of the cover layer 2. This causes the problems described above, i.e. there is a risk that especially the cover layer 2 from the underlying Layers can solve or may exist in a partial solution the risk of penetration of dampening solution or the like.
- the sealer geometry in that a Enlargement of the adhesive surface to the blanket is achieved while minimizing the tension in the sealer.
- this can be achieved by an enlarged adhesive surface of the sealer 5, especially on the cover layer 2, which is not shown in detail in the figures.
- the roughening occurs in the Comparison to a smooth, i. not roughened layer, such as through a section is produced, a much larger adhesive surface or adhesive surface geometry. This already causes an improved adhesion of the sealer especially on the Cover layer, whereby the problems described are avoidable, i. especially the life of the metal blanket can be increased.
- FIGS. 3 a - f various forms of the design of the ends of the Top layer 2 shown, all of which bring an increase in the adhesive surface 6 and thus bring the aforementioned advantages.

- FIG. 4 shows a sealing geometry 6 similar to FIG. 3 b.
- To the sealer 5 optimally applied to the ends of the metal blanket 1 is the left portion of the Form template 7 designed accordingly. This design depends on how thick total of the sealer 5 is to be applied and how he adheres to the invention designed geometry of the end of the cover layer 2 to adapt.
- FIG. 4 shows that it is advantageous to form the sealer 5 with the mold template 7 so that he with the top of the cover layer 2 closes and with a sufficient width itself over the plate ends, here plate end 4 extends, whereby also the thickness of the sealer 5 can be selected according to the total height, which is the lower level at the Form template 7 can recognize.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a blanket with a rigid elastic support plate on which at least one elastic layer with a dyeable surface is arranged, of which a printed image is transferable to a printing material web, wherein the two ends of the Carrier plate are not covered by the elastic layer and the two ends of the elastic layer are covered by a sealer.
In offset printing machines, especially offset web-fed rotary printing presses transfer the images to be printed onto an offset cylinder from a forme cylinder, commonly referred to as a rubber cylinder. From the rubber cylinder takes place then the image transfer to a substrate. In the past were predominantly blankets, so-called blankets of a multi-layered construction clamped on the blanket cylinder by fixing the ends in the cylinder pit were. Usually, the thickness of such a blanket is in the range of about 2 mm, so that alone for the introduction of the two ends in the cylinder pit a Opening of at least 4 mm was necessary. Due to different circumstances had usually the width of the Gummizylinderspannkanals be much larger, to perform a change of blankets during operation without interference can.
Bei dem Gummituch gemäß der WO 01/70512 A1 stehen sich somit die Enden der Gummischicht oberhalb des Zylinderkanals gegenüber.WO 01/70512 A1 discloses a blanket in which the flexible layers, i.e. the rubber layers with corresponding reinforcements of textile, one Covering layer - ie a printing layer and usually a compressible Layer are arranged on a rigid flexible support. This layer structure can be achieved by a bonding agent on the Support plate are fixed, with the leading and the trailing end of the Plate is not covered by the rubber layer structure, so only the thin ones Steel sheets must be inserted into the cylinder channel and fixed there. Thereby There is a significant reduction in the channel width, which is known to be essential Has advantages. In the blanket according to WO 01/70512 A1 are thus the Ends the rubber layer above the cylinder channel opposite.
From DE 101 17 409 A1 also a blanket is already known in which the rubber layer, like the printing blanket described above also has a layer structure consists of several layers, which is sealed at the two ends of the blanket. The sealant extends over the total height of the material thickness of the blanket layer structure and also covered by its approximately triangular cross-section partially the free ends of the metal layer to be inserted into the cylinder pit, i. the sheet metal plate. By this arrangement is prevented, in particular during Printing used fluids as well as washing liquids in the fabric insert can penetrate or penetrate below the top layer and the intimate bond of the layer structure impair. In this known blanket it will perceived as an advantage, the thickness of the sealant in the form of an elastomeric pad to increase continuously in the direction of the metal plate, so that a significant large area of the elastomeric pad over the rubber plate or over one on the Rubber plate used adhesion promoter layer is formed. This should in particular Tangential forces are counteracted, especially at the base of the blanket, i.e. arise in the transition region of the elastomeric support or the sealer.
The aforementioned known metal rubber blankets have the disadvantage that their life significantly below the life of conventional blankets without metal plate, although the above-described seal from the blanket surface until the steel sheet provides a complete seal.
It has been recognized that the common cause of failure of metal rubber cloths is that the sealer detaches itself from the top layer of the blanket. It became the further recognized that this release due to the current methods used the Sieglerauftrages in the form of thin layers in the vicinity of the cover layer near Cause has. In the area of the cover layer occur by deformation of the metal rubber blanket as a result of the cylinder overruns strong shear and compressive forces. Of this For the first time, the problem was recognized and analyzed on the basis of the present invention the object of the invention to provide a metal blanket, which are the aforementioned Disadvantages does not have and in particular a compared to the known Metallgummitüchem Longer life, which in the ideal case to the life approaching conventional blankets.
In diesen zeigen schematisch:
Figur 1- ein Metallgummituch mit bekanntem Aufbau,
Figur 2- ein Metallgummituch mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Aufbau,

Figur 1 zeigt schematisch den grundsätzlichen Aufbau eines bekannten Metallgummituches, der hinsichtlich des Schichtaufbaues auch bei den erfindungsgemäßen Metallgummitüchern angewendet werden kann, jedoch ist auch ein anderer Schichtaufbau mit einer größeren oder kleineren Anzahl von einzelnen Schichten im Rahmen der Erfindung anwendbar.FIG. 1 shows schematically the basic structure of a known metal rubber blanket. with regard to the layer structure also in the metal rubber cloths according to the invention can be applied, but is also a different layer structure with a greater or lesser number of individual layers within the scope of the invention applicable.

umfassen.The
Figure 1 reveals that the
To solve the problem described above is therefore proposed according to the invention,
that in particular to eliminate the risk of detachment of the sealer
is optimized by the cover layer, the sealer geometry in that a
Enlargement of the adhesive surface to the blanket is achieved while minimizing
the tension in the sealer. In the simplest case, this can be achieved
by an enlarged adhesive surface of the
The possibility shown in Figure 2 of enlarging the adhesive surface to the blanket
is that as Sealer geometry 6 a across the metal blanket

In FIGS. 3 a - f, various forms of the design of the ends of the

Teil senkrecht verläuft. In FIG. 2 b, the upper area of the
Versieglungsgeometrie 6 für den Versiegler 5 zu erzielen ist.FIG. 3 c shows a wave-shaped or zigzag-shaped configuration of the end;

All embodiments of the preferably two ends of the
Formschablone 7 erkennen lässt.FIG. 4 shows a sealing
Before using the
