Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Trennen von Tabak von einem Tabakkuchen, umfassend ein rotierend antreibbares Trennmittel (11) mit mindestens einem Trennelement (12), sowie einen Antrieb (13) zum Antreiben des Trennmittels (11). Des weiteren betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Trennen von Tabak von einem Tabakkuchen, umfassend ein rotierend antreibbares Trennmittel (11) mit mindestens einem Trennelement (12), sowie mehrere Antriebe (13,24), wobei ein erster Antrieb (13) zum Antreiben des Trennmittels (11) und ein zweiter Antrieb (24) zum Bewegen des Trennelementes (12) dient. Die Erfindung befasst sich weiterhin mit einem Verfahren mit den Schritten: Zuführen des Tabakkuchens auf ein mindestens ein Trennelement (12) aufweisendes Trennmittel (11) zu, und Antreiben des Trennmittels (11) zum Trennen des Tabaks vom Tabakkuchen durch jedes Trennelement (12).
Derartige Vorrichtungen und Verfahren weisen u.a. den Nachteil auf, daß sie konstruktiv aufwendig sind und eine große Bauform aufweisen. Des weiteren ist die Bewegung der Trennelemente bzw. der Trennmesser konstruktiv aufwendig, was insbesondere beim Tausch der Trennmesser einen erheblichen Aufwand erfordert.
Dadurch, daß der Antrieb (13) für das Trennmittel (11) als elektromechanischer Direktantrieb ausgebildet ist, kann eine sehr kompakte Bauform erreicht werden. Mit der Vorrichtung, bei der mindestens einer der Antriebe (13,24) für das Trennmittel (11) bzw. für das oder jedes Trennelement (12) als elektromechanischer Direktantrieb ausgebildet ist, ist eine besonders kompakte Bauform gewährleistet.
