Abstract

L'invention concerne un frein à disque à commande électromécanique destiné à des véhicules, comportant un étrier de frein et une unité d'actionnement logée sur l'étrier de frein. Ladite unité d'actionnement comporte deux revêtements de friction interagissant avec deux surfaces latérales respectives d'un disque de frein, au moins un des revêtements de friction pouvant être amené en prise avec le disque de frein par l'intermédiaire de l'unité d'actionnement, ainsi qu'un moteur électrique commandé au moyen d'une unité de commande et de régulation électronique. L'invention vise à mettre en oeuvre un frein à disque compact. A cet effet, l'unité de commande et de régulation (2) est logée directement sur l'unité d'actionnement (1). Ainsi, il est possible de concevoir la connexion électrique (5) en tant que connexion enfichable se révélant avantageuse en matière de coûts et de sécurité.
