Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for filling at least partially emptied cash boxes for ATMs with money and a device suitable for filling the cash boxes.
- ATMs for dispensing money in the form of banknotes and / or coin money are usually located at remote locations such as bank branches, so-called cash points or other facilities authorized to accept and / or issue money.
- ATM cassettes ATM stands for A utomatic T eller M achine
- the replaced empty or half-empty cash boxes are returned to a central bank or a so-called cash center, which is authorized to accept, check and issue money and is usually located at a location of the value-transporting company, and replenished there in a secure environment.
- ATM cassettes are usually equipped with a locking mechanism that can only be opened by means of special tools or methods and therefore prevents access during transport.
- each bank branch with a special self-service apparatus for independently emptying and refilling the cash boxes.
- the cassette to be filled is removed from the ATM, inserted into the self-service apparatus, the necessary number of banknotes to be refilled is automatically determined and displayed to the operator. The operator then enters a corresponding number of banknotes in the self-service apparatus, which are then automatically checked and loaded into the cashbox.
- a mobile charging station which can be moved between adjacent ATMs within a bank branch.
- a cashbox filled with banknotes is exchanged for an ATM cassette from the ATM from the mobile charging station.
- the mobile cashbox is transported to the ATM and transported in return the cash dispenser cassette in the mobile charging station.
- the required amount of banknotes is removed from the filled cashbox and placed in a stacker of the ATM. Thereafter, the mobile cassette and the cash dispenser cassette are exchanged again.
- a disadvantage of this method is that for filling the ATM with banknotes, the cash boxes must be exchanged twice back and forth and the filling must take place in the ATM itself. The ATM must therefore be put into an inactive state for a relatively long time, in which case it is not available to the customers.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a method and a device for filling money cassettes for ATMs set up at a distance from one another, which enable a simpler and more cost-effective exchange of cash cassettes and at the same time can be integrated into the existing infrastructure at only a low cost.
- the cash cassettes are refilled in a mobile charging station, preferably while driving from the location of an ATM to the location of another ATM.
- the ATMs can be placed in bank branches, at so-called cash points or at any other location.
- the charging station is therefore not at the location of the transport company, but for example in a vehicle of the Werttransportologies and is carried from bank branch to bank branch.
- At the beginning of the tour in the transport vehicle essentially only filled cash boxes for the first to be approached bank branch and the rest for all other bank branches only carried cash.
- the empty or half-empty cassettes exchanged in the bank branch that was approached first are filled on the way to the next bank branch and then there again exchanged for the empty or half-empty cassettes taken there.
- the remaining money contained in the replaced cassettes is transferred into a return cassette and returned to the value-transporting company.
- a single return cassette can be completely sufficient if, when emptying the ATM cassettes, the remaining money is counted and the determined value, for example, together with the ATM cassette number and / or information about the bank branch, is stored tamper-proof.
- the remaining money is returned directly to the cash cycle by being stacked back into the same ATM cartridge after it has been counted and the determined value stored.
- the insurance value of the transport vehicle can be reduced because less money is transported overall.
- the remaining money is preferably stacked back into the cassette in such a way that it is first issued by the ATM, ie according to the cassette system according to the FIFO or LIFO principle ("first-in-first-out” or “last-in”). first-out ").
- first-in-first-out or "last-in”
- first-out
- the cash boxes and the money are introduced through locks in a closed housing.
- the money is placed in secure lock bundles in the lock and then automatically identified and checked for integrity of the bundle, so that manipulation attempts can be detected by the operator and are therefore largely excluded.
- the operator accesses the money and the cash boxes in the closed housing via two hoses ending in gloves and penetrating the housing wall, the hoses terminating hermetically sealed with the housing wall.
- the operator has neither the money nor the subsequent opening of the bundle and filling the cassette the opportunity to steal money unnoticed.
- the opening of the bundle inserted through the lock and all the others can be done by opening, emptying, filling and reclosing the cassettes connected actions are carried out fully automatically by suitable means.
- the partially manual variant is inexpensive and less susceptible to interference. It can be used in particular without special circumstances for filling a wide variety of cashbox types.
- FIG. 1 is shown diagrammatically the process flow, as are exchanged and refilled on a tour of a transport vehicle of a Wertverportanks the cash boxes of remote bank branches.
- a bank branch in the sense of the following description is here to understand each location of ATMs.
- a transport vehicle in the value-transporting company WTU is loaded with money for the bank branches, in particular with banknote bundles consisting of a number of, for example, 100, 200 or 500 banknotes. This money is needed to refill the ATMs of bank branches B, C, etc., which are approached on the tour of the transport vehicle in second and subsequent place.
- bank branch A for the first port of call (Bank branch A) provided a number of ready-made cash boxes X, which are already filled with the required type and number of banknotes for the bank branch A.
- bank branch A the empty or half-empty cash cassettes A located there in the ATM are exchanged in a conventional manner for the prefabricated cash cassettes X.
- the empty or half-empty cash cassettes A are refilled in a mobile charging station, which is carried along with the transport vehicle of the value-transporting company.
- the refilling takes place in the transport vehicle, preferably with the doors closed, and can be carried out for reasons of saving time, if necessary, while driving to the nearest bank branch B.
- the refilled cash cassettes A are then used to exchange them for empty or half empty cash cassettes B of the ATMs of the bank branch B. In this way, the process continues until all bank branches of the tour have been called and the transport vehicle returns to the location of the value-transporting company WTU.
- the cash cassettes taken at the bank branch last opened can ultimately be refilled in a cash center (not shown), preferably located at a location of the value-transporting company WTU.
- the remaining money contained in the cash box is first counted and stored in connection with the cartridge ID number. These data are important for proper billing to the bank branch from which the cashbox comes. In addition, it is stored how much money is filled in the cassette to settle correctly to the bank branch, which receives the cassette in question.
- FIG. 2 schematically shows a system for partially manually filling empty or half empty cash boxes.
- This system does not have an automatic stacking mechanism, so banknotes should be stacked via manually controlled robotics or directly by hand. In this version, this system is readily suitable for filling all common cash box types.
- the charging station of in FIG. 2 The system shown comprises a housing 1 with a first lock 2 for feeding banknote bundles and with a second lock, not shown, for inserting a cashbox 3.
- the housing 1 can have a plurality of different locks for inserting different cashbox types, so that the charging station can be used universally.
- the locks for the cash boxes 3 and banknotes 4 are designed so that the operator access to the housing interior is impossible.
- the banknotes bundle 4 are initially packed access protected. For example, they can be welded in a plastic film hermetically sealed under vacuum. In this case, the integrity can be verified by checking the mechanical integrity of the vacuum packaging. Such proof can be obtained, for example, by measuring the negative pressure in the interior of the bundle 4 against the ambient pressure be performed, indicating that no air has penetrated from the outside. Another possibility is the use of special detection elements, for example in sheet or label form, which discolour on contact with oxygen-containing air and thus indicate the damage of the packaging.
- special gaseous ingredients may be included within the package that volatilize upon damage of the tightly sealed package.
- the integrity can be verified by checking for the presence of a sufficient concentration of the specific gaseous ingredients before the package is opened.
- the test of the integrity of the bundle 4 can of course also be carried out completely independently of the charging station described in the invention. This makes sense if, in general, a received banknote bundle 4 is received during the transfer, e.g. by a cashier, to be tested for integrity.
- the employee of the valuable transport company thus introduces the cash box 3 into the housing 1 and one or more banknote bundles 4 into the lock 2.
- They carry an identification label 5, for example a bar code, which contains information about the number and denomination of the banknotes combined in the banknote bundle 4.
- the banknote bundle 4 is automatically checked for integrity in the lock 2 after it has been closed, and the identification label is read.
- the information of the identification label in combination with the cassette ID number, also serves, among other things, to check whether the denomination of the banknote bundle is correctly matched to the type of cassette. Thereby on the one hand, manipulation possibilities by the employee of the value-transporting company and, on the other hand, the risk of incorrect filling are substantially reduced from the outset. If the check reveals that the banknote bundle 4 is intact, then the lock 2 opens to the interior of the housing 1.
- the employee can now act within the housing 1.
- he will open the lid 7 of the cash box 3 and the bank notes 8 remaining therein, i. the remaining money, remove.
- the lid 7 (not shown) special devices or tools that are accessible only within the housing.
- the remaining money 8 is transferred via a (not shown) processing device in a return cassette 9, wherein it isolated, counted and the value is determined and stored.
- the step of emptying, separating and counting the banknotes remaining in the cashbox 3 is automated according to a preferred variant, not shown.
- the remaining money 8 can remain in the return cassette 9 and be transported back to the cash center of the value-transporting company. However, preference is given to a direct recycling of the remaining money 8, in which the remaining money is returned to the cash box 3 at a later time. If the cash box 3 operates according to the FIFO principle, for example, the remaining money 8 is stacked back into the cash box 3 immediately after its value has been determined. This ensures that the remaining money is the first again is issued. Subsequently, the cashbox 3 is filled with banknotes of the banknotes bundle 4.
- the employee removes the banknote bundle 4, which has been checked for integrity and has been correctly identified, from the lock 2 and opens the withdrawn banknote bundle, for example by cutting open the packaging.
- the opening of the banknote bundle can also take place automatically in the lock 2.
- An automatic opening of the banknote bundle 4 is technically easy to implement, since all bundles are cassette-independent and therefore uniform in their format. They can be easily machined in consideration of the integrity testing method.
- the employee then stacks the banknotes of the banknotes bundle 4 in the cashbox 3. Finally, the employee closes the lid 7 of the cashbox 3 and leads the cashbox 3 through the aforementioned, not shown lock from the mobile charging station again.
- banknotes are removed from a half-empty cassette 346 and refilled, and in addition 3 banknote bundles 4 with 500 banknotes each are added, then the cashbox 3 is filled with 1846 banknotes. Number and denomination of the banknotes were determined in the lock 2 as well as counting the remaining money 8 and stored together with the cassette ID number. Based on this data, it is easy to see how much money was withdrawn from and fed to the individual bank branches when changing the cash cassettes.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows an alternative system FIG. 2 in which the charging station works fully automatically.
- This system is for special types of cash boxes 3 compatible with the mobile charging station.
- the cash box 3 is first inserted into the housing 1 of the mobile charging station or, as in FIG. 3 shown connected to the outside of the housing 1.
- the cashbox 3 is first emptied automatically.
- the remaining money 8 is singled out, counted and the value determined, which is stored taking into account the cassette ID number.
- the remaining money 8 is initially in an in FIG. 3 schematically illustrated intermediate cash 10, z. B. a slide memory, cached.
- the cashbox 3 is first filled with the buffered remaining money 8 and then filled with additional banknotes or vice versa.
- the required amount of additional banknotes for filling the cashbox 3 results directly from the previously determined number of banknotes of the remaining money 8.
- banknotes 4 are inserted according to the determined number of banknotes required in the lock 2.
- the banknotes 4 are identified by their identification label 5 and checked for integrity before they are automatically opened, isolated in a singler 11, transported via a device not shown to the cashbox 3 and stacked in this.
- the end of the automatic stacking process is displayed to the employee, who then removes the cash box 3 from the charging station.

Description
"last-in-first-out").
Darin zeigen:
- Figur 1
- diagrammartig den Verfahrensablauf;
- Figur 2
- In
