Description
- L'invention concerne un document de sécurité comportant, comme élément de sécurité contre la copie, des impressions de lignes recto et verso observables en lumière réfléchie et formant une image observable en lumière transmise.
- Pour lutter contre la contrefaçon des billets de banque par photocopie recto/verso ou utilisant un scanner et une imprimante, on a réalisé, par un repérage adéquat dans une zone donnée, des motifs au recto et des motifs au verso du billet de manière à ce que ces motifs se complètent pour former une image ou représentation finale, par exemple un ensemble de lignes graphiques ou des caractères alphanumériques ou une image d'un personnage ou d'un animal, etc. Lorsqu'on observe le billet en lumière réfléchie, on ne voit que le motif réalisé sur la face observée alors que, lorsqu'on observe le billet en lumière transmise, on voit tous les motifs qui se complètent donc la représentation finale. Selon une variante de ces impressions, on réalise des motifs identiques au recto et au verso en les superposant de manière à observer en lumière transmise une image qui est aussi identique aux motifs.
Ces motifs sont réalisés par des impressions d'aplats de couleur ou par des impressions de traits ou lignes.
L'homme du métier qualifie ces impressions sous leur vocable anglais de "see-through" ou pour la variante de "print-through".
Certains billets de banque sont d'un grammage et d'une opacité suffisamment faibles pour permettre l'observation de ces motifs dans la mesure où les impressions sont des aplats et/ou ne sont pas trop fines. - Pour pouvoir appliquer ces impressions à des documents de sécurité ayant un grammage et/ou une opacité plus élevées, on a proposé, dans la demande de brevet européen
EP388090 EP687324 - Par ailleurs les moyens pour reproduire les motifs, tels que les photocopieurs et scanners, permettent la copie en couleur recto/verso et ont des pouvoirs de résolution de plus en plus importants, on recherche donc des motifs plus difficiles à contrefaire.
- Néanmoins la demanderesse a constaté qu'actuellement les impressions faites d'aplats sont les plus utilisées mais aussi qu'elles sont relativement faciles à reproduire par photocopieurs ou scanners couleur recto/verso. Par exemple les billets actuels de la nouvelle monnaie de la Communauté Européenne, les euro, présentent, dans un de leurs angles, de part et d'autre du billet, des impressions d'aplats de la couleur dominante dudit billet qui composent la valeur du billet observable en transvision. Ces billets euro ne présentent pas de zone d'opacité réduite, les aplats sont assez grossiers et pourraient être assez faciles à reproduire.
- Concernant les impressions par lignes, dans la demande de brevet européen
EP388090 -
US-A-6 089 614 montre un document de securité ayant tous les caracteristiques du préambule. - La demanderesse vise donc à proposer un document de sécurité ayant un niveau de sécurité accrue contre la copie recto/verso.
- La demanderesse propose d'atteindre ce but en fournissant un document de sécurité selon la revendication 1.
- L'image finale observable en lumière transmise présente un effet 3D obtenu par les variations de densité en nombre par unité de surface et/ou d'intensité d'impression des lignes. On entend par « variations de densité en nombre par unité de surface » qu'on fait varier les distances entre les lignes.
- De préférence les lignes sont présentes en un grand nombre et sont très fines.
- L'image à observer en transvision peut être une image en tant que telle mais aussi une partie d'une image ou d'un portrait plus grand et en particulier déjà existant sur le document.
- Plus particulièrement les lignes sont des traits en noir et/ou selon des dégradés de gris et/ou en couleur et/ou changeantes d'aspect selon l'angle d'observation ou sous l'action d'une source d'excitation tel qu'un rayonnement, notamment fluorescentes, thermochromes ou photochromes et/ou ont des propriétés électromagnétiques notamment électroconductrices, magnétiques ou de résonance magnétique.
- Le document peut aussi comporter des impressions d'aplats de couleur. Bien entendu le document de sécurité peut comporter d'autres éléments de sécurité, notamment un fil de sécurité, des planchettes, des impressions iridescentes etc.
- Plus particulièrement l'invention vise un billet de banque.
- De préférence les impressions sont réalisées dans une zone d'opacité réduite.
- Dans le cas d'un papier, cette zone d'opacité réduite peut être une zone telle que celle décrite dans la demande de brevet
EP687324 - Selon un cas particulier de l'invention le document est donc une feuille de papier bi-jet dont un jet comporte une zone d'épaisseur réduite voire nulle et d'une superficie de plus de 0,4 cm2, cette dite zone comportant les impressions.
- Selon un cas particulier de l'invention, le document peut avoir comme support une feuille ou un film plastique d'une opacité permettant l'observation des impressions comme dans le cas d'un papier.
- Selon un exemple, on imprime une feuille de papier d'une grille d'un coté de la feuille et la même grille en coïncidence au verso. L'impression recto/verso étant repérée avec une extrême précision sur les machines dédiées à l'impression des billets et documents de sécurité, les grilles recto et verso se superposant, l'image d'une seule grille à effet 3D apparaît lorsqu'on observe la feuille en transvision et aussi en lumière réfléchie.
Si un contrefacteur reproduit ces grilles au moyen d'un copieur ou d'une imprimante (après scannérisation), il y aura un décalage d'un barreau ou d'une partie des barreaux et alors la grille résultante de la superposition des deux grilles recto et verso deviendra un amas voire un carré noir bien qu'en observation en lumière réfléchie on verrait une grille au recto ou au verso.
L'homme de la rue peut ainsi voir facilement et immédiatement que le document ou le billet a été contrefait
Claims (6)
- Document de sécurité comportant, comme élément de sécurité contre la copie recto/verso, des impressions présentes au recto et au verso et observables en lumière réfléchie et formant une image observable en lumière transmise, lesdites impressions comportant des lignes, et formant ladite image avec un effet 3D,
document caractérisé par le fait que les lignes sont de densité en nombre par unité de surface et/ou d'intensité d'impression variables de manière à créer l'effet 3D, et que les impressions de lignes au recto et au verso sont identiques et superposées. - Document de sécurité selon la revendication 1, caractérisé par le fait que les lignes sont présentes en un grand nombre et sont très fines.
- Document de sécurité selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé par le fait que les impressions sont entièrement constituées de telles lignes.
- Document de sécurité selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par le fait que les impressions, notamment les lignes, comportent un cryptage.
- Document de sécurité selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par le fait que les lignes sont en noir et/ou selon des dégradés de gris et/ou en couleur et/ou changeantes d'aspect selon l'angle d'observation ou sous l'action d'une source d'excitation tel qu'un rayonnement, étant notamment fluorescentes, thermochromes, ou photochromes et/ou ont des propriétés électromagnétiques notamment électroconductrices, magnétiques ou de résonance magnétique.
- Document de sécurité selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comporte comme support un papier avec une zone d'opacité réduite et que lesdites impressions sont présentes au recto et au verso de ladite zone d'opacité réduite.
