For instance, a damaged module can be cut out with a utility knife, and exposed molding 10 can be "peeled" away from portions of the installation to which it is attached, usually as a single strip. A replacement flooring module is then positioned, and appropriate lengths of T-shaped molding 10 are cut to length and positioned between the replacement module and adjacent flooring. Molding 10 is then heated with a hand held heat gun or other heat source and a hand roller is used to compress and (as appropriate) emboss the top surface of molding 10.
