  • the cylinder head 33 is integrally provided with the connection cylinder portion 138 projecting to the outer side relative to the coupling portion of the cylinder head 33 and the head cover 34 so as to form the inlet portion 121a of the intake port 121 so that the axis of the inlet portion 121a is disposed in the second plane PL2 substantially orthogonal to the cylinder axis C.
  • connection cylinder portion 138 is provided with a mount hole 136 in which to fit liquid-tight the tip end portion of the fuel injection valve 135 attached to the cylinder head 33 so as to inject the fuel toward the intake port 121, and the throttle body 129 is connected to the connection cylinder portion 138 through the insulator 128 so that the axis of the intake passage 130 is disposed in the second plane PL2.
  • the insulator 128 is so formed as to be bent in the second plane PL2, and the throttle drum 133 possessed by the throttle body 129 is disposed on the opposite side of the cylinder head 33. Therefore, the throttle body 129 can be disposed closer to the side of the cylinder head 33 due to the bending of the insulator 128, and the fuel injection valve 135 is prevented from constituting an obstacle in disposing the throttle wire 134 which is wrapped around the throttle drum 133.
  • the engine E is configured to be of the SOHC type in which the intake valves 118 ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ and the exhaust valves 119 ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ are openably and closably disposed in the cylinder head 33, with their operating axes intersecting in a roughly V shape on the projection onto the first plane PL1 containing the cylinder axis C and the axis of the inlet portion 121a of the intake port 121, and the camshaft 141 with its axis substantially parallel to the axis of the inlet portion 121a of the intake port 121 is disposed between the intake valves 118 ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ and the exhaust valves 119 ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ . Therefore, it is possible to reduce as much as possible the width of an upper portion of the cylinder head 33, to thereby cause more part of the fuel injection valve 135 to project from the cylinder head 33, and to cool the fuel injection valve 135 more effectively.
  • the cylinder head 33, the fuel injection valve 135, and the throttle body 129 in the single-cylinder engine E are disposed between the left-right pair of main frames 13, 13 possessed by the vehicle body frame 11. Therefore, it is possible to dispose the fuel injection valve 135 and the throttle body 129 while reducing the spacing between the left-right pair of main frames 13, 13, which contributes to enhancement of the property for the rider to ride astride and of riding comfort.

Claims (4)

  1. Motor vom wassergekühlten Typ, umfassend
    einen Zylinderkopf (33), in welchem ein Einlassventil (118) und ein Auslassventil (119) öffenbar und schließbar angeordnet sind, wobei sich ihre Betriebsachsen ungefähr in einer V-Form schneiden, wobei der Zylinderkopf (33) mit einem Kühlmantel (87) ausgestattet ist, um Kühlwasser durch ihn hindurch strömen zu lassen, sowie mit einem Kühlwasserauslassrohrbereich (161) zum Auslassen des Kühlwassers aus dem Kühlmantel (87), und wobei der Zylinderkopf (33) mit einer Kettenkammer (151) ausgestattet ist, an der ein Endbereich einer zwischen dem Einlassventil (118) und dem Auslassventil (119) angeordneten Nockenwelle (141) angeordnet ist,
    wobei die Nockenwelle (141) an einer Position angeordnet ist, die zur Seite der Kettenkammer (151) hin versetzt ist, wobei ihr anderer Endbereich im Wesentlichen einem Zentralbereich einer Brennkammer (117) entspricht, wobei ein dem anderen Endbereich der Kurbelwelle (141) entsprechender Bereich von ventilbetriebskammerbildenden Wänden (33a, 34a), die in dem Zylinderkopf (33) vorgesehen sind, und einer Kopfabdeckung (34), die mit dem Zylinderkopf (33) gekoppelt ist, um eine Umfangswand einer Ventilbetriebskammer (144) zu bilden, die eine Ventilbetätigungsvorrichtung (140) einschließlich der Nockenwelle (141) enthält, mit einem ausgesparten Bereich (158) versehen ist, wobei eine Zündkerze (159), deren Spitzenendbereich an einem im Wesentlichen zentralen Bereich der Brennkammer (117) angeordnet ist, und deren hinterer Endbereich an dem ausgesparten Bereichen (158) angeordnet ist, in einem geneigten Zustand derart an dem Zylinderkopf (33) angebracht ist, dass ihre hintere Endseite von der Kettenkammer (151) beabstandet ist, und wobei der Kühlwasserauslassrohrbereich (161), der an der entgegengesetzten Seite der Kettenkammer (151) und an der Außenseite der ventilbetriebskammerbildenden Wände (33a, 34a) angeordnet ist und von dem ausgesparten Bereich (158) zur Seite des Einlassventils (118) oder des Auslassventils (119) versetzt ist, in dem Zylinderkopf (33) derart vorgesehen ist, dass er sich im Wesentlichen parallel zur Zylinderachse (C) erstreckt.
  2. Motor vom wassergekühlten Typ nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Winkel (α1), der gebildet wird zwischen der Betriebsachse eines Ventils von dem Einlassventil (118) und dem Auslassventil (119), das sich näher an dem Kühlwasserauslassrohrbereich (161) befindet, und der Zylinderachse (C) bei einer Projektion auf eine Ebene (PL1), die die Zylinderachse (C) enthält, kleiner eingestellt ist als der Winkel (α2), der gebildet wird zwischen der Betriebsachse des anderen Ventils von dem Einfassventil (118) und dem Auslassventil (119) und der Zylinderachse (C) bei der Projektion, und wobei ein Öffnungsbereich, der sich in die Brennkammer (117) öffnet, eines Kerzenmontageloches (160), das in dem Zylinderkopf (33) vorgesehen ist, um die Zündkerze (159) zu montieren, derart angeordnet ist, dass er von der Zylinderachse (C) zu der Seite des anderen Ventils hin versetzt ist.
  3. Motor vom wassergekühlten Typ nach Anspruch 2, wobei die Achse der Nockenwelle (141) derart angeordnet ist, dass sie zu der entgegensetzten Seite des Kühlwasserausiassrohrbereiches (161) relativ zu einer Ebene (PL3) versetzt ist, die parallel zur Nockenwelle (141) ist und die Zylinderachse (C) enthält.
  4. Motor vom wassergekühlten Typ nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Kühlwasserauslassrohrbereich (161) von dem ausgesparten Bereich (158) zur Seite einer Mehrzahl der Auslassventile hin versetzt ist, und wobei der Winkel (α1), der gebildet wird zwischen den Betriebsachsen der Auslassventile (119) und der Zylinderachse (C) bei einer Projektion auf eine Ebene (PL1), die die Zylinderachse (C) enthält, kleiner eingestellt ist als der Winkel (α2), der gebildet wird zwischen den Betriebsachsen der Einlassventile (118) und der Zylinderachse (C) bei der Projektion, und wobei der Abstand zwischen einem Öffnungsbereich, der sich in die Brennkammer (117) hinein öffnet, eines Kerzenmontageloches (160), das in dem Zylinderkopf (33) vorgesehen ist, um die Zündkerze (159) zu montieren, und eine Mehrzahl von Einlassventilanschlüssen (120), die in dem Zylinderkopf (33) in dem Zustand der Anbringung an der Brennkammer (117) derart vorgesehen sind, dass sie jedes der Einlassventile (118) öffnen und schließen, kleiner eingestellt ist als der Abstand zwischen einer Mehrzahl von Auslassventilanschlüssen (122), die in dem Zylinderkopf (33) in einem Zustand der Anbringung an der Brennkammer (117) derart vorgesehen sind, dass sie jedes der Auslassventile (119) öffnen und schließen, und dem Öffnungsbereich des Kerzenmontageloches (160).
