A bobbin changer according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the turntable (9) has receiving points (15) for the bobbins (S) and, at each receiving point (15), holding means for an end of the residual yarn of the bobbin (S) positioned at the receiving point (15), which are provided to present the said end of the residual yarn at the knotting unit (K).
  4. A bobbin changer according to Claim 3, characterised in that the said holding means are formed by yarn clamping pins (33) which project upwards from the turntable (9) and against which the end of each residual yarn may be placed.
  5. A bobbin changer according to Claim 4, characterised in that associated with each receiving point (15) are two yarn clamping pins (33) arranged on either side of the receiving point (15) and hence of the bobbin (S) positioned therein, with the free end of the residual yarn being guided from the bobbin (S) to the one and from there to the other of the yarn clamping pins (33) and fixed to the latter.
  6. A bobbin changer according to Claim 5, characterised in that the free end of the residual yarn extends between the two yarn clamping pins (33) in a position which is tangential in relation to the turntable (9).
  7. A bobbin changer according to one of Claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the knotting unit (K) is arranged, as seen in the direction of rotation (R) of the turntable (9), directly downstream of the winding station, and in that once the winding procedure is complete the relevant full bobbin (S1) is transported from the winding position (A) to the rotational position of the turntable (9) corresponding to the next receiving point and is presented to the knotting unit (K), with the end of the wound-on yarn of the full bobbin (S1) extending, by way of the yarn clamping pins (33) associated with the bobbin (S2) positioned in the winding station, to the thread guide (F) of the thread advancer (5).
  8. A bobbin changer according to Claim 7, characterised in that both the said end of the yarn wound onto the full bobbin (S1) and the free end of the residual yarn of the bobbin (S2) positioned in the winding station are guided by way of the yarn clamping pins (33) associated with the bobbin (S2) positioned in the winding station.
  9. A bobbin changer according to Claim 8, characterised in that the two said yarn ends are presented together to the knotting unit (K) and are knotted to one another thereby and the knot is severed from the full bobbin (S1).
  10. A bobbin changer according to Claim 9, characterised in that, at the start of the winding procedure of the bobbin (S2) positioned in the winding station, as a result of rotation thereof the free end of the residual yarn of this bobbin is drawn back to the bobbin and wound onto the latter.
