Dies wird insbesondere durch den Einsatz eines Getriebes bzw. von Kupplungen verursacht. Die Notwendigkeit eines Getriebes bzw. von Kupplungen führt des weiteren zu einer großen Baulänge des Antriebsmittels sowie zu einer erhöhten Lärmerzeugung. vorgenannten Einrichtungen 11 bis 16 weisen eine Mehrzahl von Trommeln 17 zur
Bildung eines sogenannten Trommellaufs 18 auf. Die Trommeln 17 sind derart
nebeneinander angeordnet, vorzugsweise parallel und im wesentlichen tangential eine
neben der anderen, daß sie in Wirkverbindung miteinander stehen.The
Sämtliche Trommeln 17 sind über ein Antriebssystem synchron antreibbar. In einer
nicht dargestellten Ausführungsform sind mehrere Trommeln 17 mittels eines
gemeinsamen Antriebs antreibbar und zusätzlich mindestens eine der Trommeln 17
weist ein separates, zusätzliches Antriebsmittel 19 auf. Vorzugsweise ist jedoch jeder
Trommel 17 des Trommellaufs 18 ein eigenes Antriebsmittel 19 zugeordnet. Sämtliche
Antriebsmittel 19 sind als Servomotor zur Bildung einer Synchronmaschine
ausgebildet.All
Im folgenden wird anhand der Figur 4 beispielhaft ein einzelnes Antriebsmittel 19
beschrieben:
Die beiden Kugellager 28, 29 sind an den beiden entgegengesetzten freien Enden 30, 31
des Lager- und Steuerflansches 25 angeordnet. Der Welle 24 ist am freien Ende 31 eine
Aufnahme 40 für die Trommel 17 zugeordnet. Die Aufnahme 40 kann einstückig mit
der Welle 24 oder auch als separates Element lösbar an der Welle 24 befestigt sein. An
dem dem Antriebsmittel 19 zugewandten freien Ende 30 des Lager- und Steuerflansches
25 ragt die Welle 24 aus dem Lager- und Steuerflansch 25 und erstreckt sich in das
Antriebsmittel 19. Der Rotor 20 ist im Bereich des fliegend gelagerten Endes 32 der
Welle 24 angeordnet. Das Gehäuse 23 ist an dem Lager- und Steuerflansch 25 lösbar
befestigt, so daß das Antriebsmittel 19 und die Trommeleinheit 27 eine gemeinsame
Antriebseinheit 33 bilden. Die Antriebseinheit 33 ist lösbar an einer Trennwand 34 der
Vorrichtung 10 befestigt, wobei der Lager- und Steuerflansch 25 auf der Vorderseite 35
der Vorrichtung 10 und das Antriebsmittel 19 auf der Rückseite 36 positioniert ist. Die
Trennwand 34 weist hierzu eine Öffnung 37 auf. Die Öffnung 37 ist vorzugsweise als
Bohrung ausgebildet, wobei der Durchmesser der Bohrung geringfügig größer ist als die
äußeren Abmessungen des Antriebsmittels 19 bzw. des Gehäuses 23. Mit anderen
Worten ist die gesamte Antriebseinheit 33 von der Vorderseite 35 montierbar und
demontierbar, indem Befestigungsschrauben 38 gelöst und die Antriebseinheit 33

angeordnet, so daß ein Austausch des Drehgebers 22 auf einfache Weise ohne das
Zerlegen des Antriebsmittels 19 erfolgen kann. Durch die steife Welle 24 einerseits und
den Verzicht auf Kupplungen andererseits wird eine maximale Drehsteifigkeit erreicht,
was wiederum zu einer besonders hohen Regelgüte und damit zu hoher Funktions- und
Prozeßsicherheit führt.The
