Description

The invention relates to a device for evacuating persons from a building according to the preamble of claim 1.

A device of this kind is known for example from DE-A-41 08 979, which discloses an inflatable oblique escape slide in which a closed ring of elongated tubes by inflating the tubes from a non-use position can be brought into a position of use, in which he a from an upper floor of the building to a floor surface leading rescue channel forms. This escape slide is unsuitable for evacuation from tall buildings, since there is usually too little space for the escape slide in view of the necessary for the safe promotion of people angle of inclination. Also increase with increasing length of the slide problems with bending strength of the hoses.

The generic document US-A-4,595,074 shows an evacuation device, in which a stocking-like evacuation tube is formed in which regularly spaced annular reinforcing elements are provided, by means of which the stocking is disengaged, in addition to the stockings brake-acting means are provided and longitudinal elements present which are guided by the reinforcing elements. A disadvantage of this device is the gcringe flexibility of the formed cross-section in this hose, as these brake-acting means, which are wing-like seen in the cross section of the hose, together with the stocking, which should be made of a canvas material or the like, do not allow great elasticity , If small children are to be lowered compared to corpulent adults, there is a risk that the children may get stuck too fast and such obese individuals may even get stuck, which could have devastating effects. In addition, there is the danger that the loose hanging of the device, that especially in such high building for insufficient stability and this tube begins to commute, especially when there is wind.

In the document US-A-4,778,031 an evacuation slide is provided with an outer and an inner tube, the latter having elastic or folded walls in one segment. With this folded wall is to be made possible that when slipping a corpulent person an increase in diameter can be made in cross-section and then the tube diameter decreases again. However, there is a risk that a person squeezing the folds when slipping and can not open them. In addition, it is likely that a child has too little resistance so that it slips too fast through this tube.

In the document GB-A-1 502 188 a hose with an inner non-stretchable sleeve through which the person to be evacuated falls, an outer sleeve enclosing this sleeve, or alternatively only the sleeve, is designed. By means of detectors on the envelope, the speed of the falling person is calculated and, as a result, at least one tube surrounding the envelope is more or less inflated, so that the person falling down is brought to a desired speed. The disadvantage here is that this is a complicated solution with the required measuring system and that in each case only one person can be transmitted, whereby this device is not suitable for tall buildings, in which the people must be evacuated quickly.

The present invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which allows fast and safe evacuation, even from tall buildings.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a device having the features of claim 1.

Further preferred embodiments of the inventive device form the subject of the dependent claims.

Characterized in that the part forming the rescue channel is formed as a hose folded in the use position, which is deployed substantially vertically or at a small angle to the building wall in the position of use, whereby braking means for the safe conveyance of persons through the rescue channel to the floor surface are provided are, the device according to the invention for rapid evacuation can also be used in very tall buildings. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the brake-acting means in the form of inflatable in the manner of an airbag, annular Air cushions on the inside of the hose, the people can be promoted - one after the other - by the substantially vertical rescue channel and thereby slide through the individual air cushion, without a free fall exists.

In Fig. 1 and 2, a device 1 for evacuation of persons from a building 2 is shown, which is housed in a non-use position shown in Fig. 1 in a room 3, which is located in an upper floor of the building 2. In this case, the device 1 is arranged on a plateau 4 which can be moved outwards partly out of the space 3 or out of the building 2.

Fig. 2 shows the plateau 4 in the protruding from the building 2 position, which is also indicated by dash-dotted lines in Fig. 1. The plateau 4 is provided with a bottom opening 5, which is kept closed in the non-use position of FIG. 1 by a flap 6, and which is arranged in the extendable from the building 2 area of the plateau 4.

The device 1 comprises a hose 7 which can be folded in the manner of an accordion and which is provided with a number of transverse rings 10 distributed over its length and spaced apart from each other. The Cross rings 10 are pressed in the folded tube state close to each other, as shown in FIG. 1 can be seen. The hose 7 is connected at one end to an entry opening 12 having an access opening 12 and arranged at the other end in front of the bottom opening 5 of the plateau 4. The folded, provided with transverse rings 10 tube part and the axis of the manhole 12 are in the non-use position parallel to the plateau 4, that is arranged horizontally.

The transverse rings 10 are each provided with at least one in Fig. 2 indicated by reference numeral 15 opening. Through the openings 15 of the individual transverse rings 10, a tensioning cable 16 is guided, which extends between two fixed fixed points 17, 18, one of which is arranged in the rear area of the space 3 (see Fig. 1) and the other a bottom surface 20th is assigned (Fig. 2).

The tensioning cable 16 is guided on the upper side of a tensioning and transporting device 26. Standing on the plateau 4 clamping and transport device 26 comprises two wheels 24, 25 and one of these driven conveyor chain 27 which cooperates with the transverse rings 10 of the tube 7. In the non-use position of the device 1 shown in FIG. 1, the tensioning cable 16 is not tensioned and is expediently guided within a channel 21 along the building wall 22. During extension of the plateau, this fixed to the fixed points 17, 18 tensioning cable 16 is torn out of the channel 21 by the tensioning device 26 and brought approximately parallel to the building wall 22 in an extended position.

For evacuation of persons from the building 2 in an emergency supplied in the space 3 Plateau 4 is moved out with the tensioning and transport device 26 disposed thereon in the position shown in Fig. 2 to the outside, the building wall 22 at the location by an am Plateau arranged wall portion 23 or the like is formed, said wall portion 23 causes an opening of the building wall when moving out. When retracting the tensioning cable 16 is also torn out of the channel 21 on the front of the building and stretched by the co-moving with the plateau 4 roller 24 between the fixed points 17, 18.

Somit bildet der heruntergelassene Schlauch 7 einen vom oberen Stockwerk zur Bodenfläche 20 führenden Rettungskanal 29.Once the plateau 4 has moved out and has reached an end position, the flap 6 is also automatically pivoted down and the bottom opening 5 is opened in the plateau 4, and the tube 7 falls - due to its own weight - through this bottom opening 5 through down and unfolds self-acting. In this case, the transverse rings 10 slide along the tensioning cable 16 (or the tensioning cables 16, preferably each transverse ring 10 is provided with two opposing openings 15 and two tensioning cables 16 are provided). The tube 7 is held at the upper end by the on the plateau 4 supporting entry portion 13, which was placed in this position, in which the manhole 12 is arranged coaxially with the bottom opening 5, with the aid of the tensioning and transporting device 26. Thus, the lowered hose 7 forms a rescue passage 29 leading from the upper floor to the floor surface 20.

Each transverse ring 10 is assigned to the inside of the tube 7, an inflatable in the manner of an airbag, annular air cushion 30, which automatically filled with falling of the tube 7 with air becomes. The air cushions 30 form brake-acting means for the persons to be conveyed through the hose 7 and prevent a free fall in the case of the practically vertical hose arrangement. The persons entering the hose 7 through the access opening 12 slide - one after the other - from one air cushion 30 to the other. The elastic compliance of the air cushion 30 in the radial and axial direction allows a braked passage for people of different sizes or persons of different sizes.

At the lower end of the hose 7 can - as shown in Fig. 2 can be seen - connected to a substantially arcuate outlet part 31, which is equipped with no brake-acting means more, and facilitates a quick exit.

Instead of inflatable in the manner of airbags, annular air cushion 30 and other braking means for the safe promotion of people would be conceivable. Thus, for example, a blower from below in countercurrent blown into the hose air could ensure the necessary braking resistance.

The hose 7 is preferably made of a flame-retardant and heat-insulating material, so that even in the case of a fire there is no danger to the people promoted by the hose. It would also be conceivable to use a transparent material to better monitor the evacuation process or that windows are provided in the hose.

A significant advantage of the device according to the invention is its independence from the building infrastructure, e.g. from the electric current.

The plateau 4 can advantageously form part of a container which can be moved out of the building 2, in which the entire apparatus is accommodated in the non-use position, this container not being visible on the building 2 from the outside. There may be several such devices per floor and devices on several floors.

Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the tube (7) is equipped with a number of transversal rings (10) distributed over its length at a distance from each other, which are each equipped with at least one opening (15) for the passage of a tensioning rope (16) which determines the arrangement of the tube (7) in the functional position.
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that the tube (7) equipped with the transversal rings (10) is designed so that it can be folded together or extended in the manner of a concertina.
  4. Device according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that each transversal ring (10) is assigned an annular air cushion (30) which is inflatable in the manner of an airbag when the tube (7) is in the functional position, whereby the air cushions (30) assigned to the transversal rings (10) form the braking means for the safe conveyance of people through the rescue channel (29).
  5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the tube (7), when folded in the non-functional position, is disposed in an enclosure (3) on the upper floor on a plateau (4) which can be extended from the building, whereby the tube can unfold automatically when the plateau (4) is extended, through a base opening (5) of the latter, towards the ground (20).
  6. Device according to claim 2 and 5, characterised in that in the functional position with the plateau (4) extended, the tensioning rope (16) is stretched between two fixed points (17, 18) assigned firstly to the upper floor and secondly to ground level (20), whereby when the plateau (4) is being extended, said rope can be ripped out of a groove (21) provided in the building wall (22) and brought into an approximately vertical position.
  7. Device according to claim 5 or 6, characterised in that the tube (7) is connected at one end with an entrance part (13) displaying an entry opening (12), whereby when the plateau (4) is extended, the entrance part (13) can be brought into a position in which the entry opening (12) is disposed coaxially with respect to the ground opening (5) and the entrance part (13) is resting on the plateau (4).
  8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that in the functional position an essentially arched exit part (31) is attached to the lower end of the tube (7).
  9. Device according to one of claims 5 to 8, characterised in that the plateau (4) forms part of a container which can be extended from the building (2), in which container the entire device is accommodated in the non-functional position.
  10. Device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the tube (7) is made from flame-resistant material.
  11. Device according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the tube (7) is made from transparent material, or that it displays windows.
