Zwar ist wegen der verkleinerten Ausführungsformen der benötigte Platz nicht mehr sehr groß, jedoch ist er dennoch in vielen Toiletten nicht vorhanden, so daß ein Urinal nicht angebracht werden kann. Im privaten Bereich muß daher zum Urinieren überwiegend das Klosettbecken verwendet werden. Um ein Bespritzen des Klosettbeckens zu vermeiden, müßte das Urinieren im Sitzen erfolgen.
