Die Neigung kann aber auch gleichmässig sein, so dass die Steigung entsprechend der Längenunterschiede jedes Umganges von innen nach aussen zunimmt. Wie in Figur 9 dargestellt kann die Steigung der Spiralführung jeweils über 240 Grad praktisch Null sein. Über anschliessende 90 Grad kann sie soweit zunehmen, dass eine der drei Klemmbacken 15,17,19 genügend weit zum Zentrum hin bewegt wird, um eine Klemmung zu erreichen. Die verbleibenden 30 Grad dienen dem Übergang zur nächsten Deckelgrösse. Der Übergangsbereich kann jedoch mehr als 30 Grad umfassen, so dass die Bereiche mit sehr geringer Neigung gegeneinander verdreht sind. In den Übergangsbereichen zwischen den Normdeckelgrössen ist keine Selbsthemmung zwischen Spiralführung 29 und Bolzen 49 erforderlich. Die Klemmbacke 15 ist für diese gefederte Bewegung um die Haltesäule 55 verschwenkbar. Die Kralle 73 besitzt eine gezahnte Rundung, mit der sie den Deckel angreift. Diese Rundung besitzt ein Kreiszentrum, das nicht konzentrisch ist mit dem des Schwenkzentrum in der Achse der Haltesäule 55. Das Kreiszentrum der Rundung wird daher mitverschwenkt, und zwar in Richtung zum Drehdeckel hin. Claims (11)

  1. Twist lid opener (11) featuring
    - a lever-type handle (13) and
    - a gripping fixture comprising three gripping jaws (15, 17, 19) to firmly grip a twist lid,
    - where gripping jaws (15, 17, 19) are arranged at a distance from a centre point between the gripping jaws and at least one gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) is movable so that the distance to the centre point is variable,
    - a guide plate (31), connected to the handle, with a linear guide rail (43) and
    - a twistable adjustment plate, arranged opposite the guide plate (31), with at least one spiral guide (29),
    on this twist lid opener
    - the movable gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) is arranged on a gripping jaw carrier (45), which is mounted in the linear guide rail (43) on guide plate (31) such that it can move and
    - fitted on the gripping jaw carrier (45) there is a guide element (49), which engages in the spiral guide (29) on the adjustment plate (27),
    - where the gripping jaw carrier (45) interacts with the rotary adjustment plate (27) located opposite the guide plate (31) in such a way that the distance of the gripping jaw (15) to the centre point can be varied by relative rotation between the adjustment plate (27) and the guide plate (31),
    characterised such that,
    - the spiral guide (29) assumes such a flat tilt angle in the areas where the gripping jaws (45) are located at a suitable distance from the centre point to be able to grip a defined lid radius that a self-locking action is established between the spiral guide (29) and the guide element (49).
  2. Twist lid opener in accordance with Patent Claim 1, characterised such that the gripping jaws (15, 17, 19) are asymmetrically designed and mounted in a swivel arrangement in the gripping jaw carriers (45) in such a way that a gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) load applied while opening a twist lid results in a swivel action of the gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) pressing against the edge of the twist lid.
  3. Twist lid opener accordance with Patent Claim 1 or 2, characterised such that each gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) is arranged on a movable gripping jaw carrier (45) and a separate spiral guide (29) is fitted for each movable gripping jaw carrier (45).
  4. Twist lid opener in accordance with one of the Patent Claims 1 to 3, characterised such that the course of the spiral guide (29) exhibits different inclinations and different gradients.
  5. Twist lid opener in accordance with one of the Patent Claims 1 to 4, characterised such that a twist grip (41) is connected to the adjustment plate (27).
  6. Twist lid opener in accordance with one of the Patent Claims 1 to 5, characterised such that each gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) comprises a plastic spring element (75) and a metal claw arranged on it.
  7. Twist lid opener in accordance with Patent Claim 6, characterised such that each gripping jaw (15, 17, 19) can be clipped onto a gripping jaw carrier (45).
  8. Twist lid opener in accordance Patent Claim 7, characterised such that the gripping jaw carrier (45) encompasses the clipped spring element (45) with claw (73) such as to prevent the gripping jaw carrier (45) lifting the claw (73) from the spring element (75).
  9. Twist lid opener in accordance with one of the Patent Claims 6 to 8, characterised such that a spring lip (77), which interacts with the gripping jaw carrier (45), is formed on the spring element (75).
  10. Twist lid opener in accordance Patent Claim 5, characterised such that the adjustment plate (27) comprises a spiral guide plate (57) with the spiral guide (29) and a twist grip plate (59) with the twist grip (41).
  11. Twist lid opener in accordance with Patent Claim 10, characterised such that, for the purpose of connecting the spiral guide plate (57) and twist grip plate (59), there are recesses in the one plate, into which the formed extensions engage in the other plate.
