Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device providing on the one hand an extraction of air from a room, and on the other hand, an extraction of stale air contained in a bowl of a sanitary appliance, in particular of a toilet.
  • Room air extraction systems are well known. These systems suck up a quantity of air to reject it to the outside. Such systems thus ensure a renewal of the room air and thus a ventilation of the room air.
  • Stale air extraction devices contained in a bowl of a toilet are also known via the rim for dispensing water into the bowl.
  • the document US-A 4,933,996 discloses a stale air evacuation device of a water closet bowl, this device comprising an axial fan located in the tank of a flush.
  • a discharge pipe brings the stale air into an evacuation pipe, downstream of the water siphon.
  • a non-return valve is positioned at the fan outlet.
  • a system that allows both a removal of stale air from the bowl via the dispensing flange, and an extraction of air from the room by not passing through the dispensing rim of the bowl is known from the document DE-A-19950467 .
  • the invention therefore relates to a device for an efficient extraction of stale air located in the bowl by the rim or water distribution channel in the bowl, and at the same time an efficient extraction of air from the room in which there is the sanitary apparatus, this room air not passing through the rim or channel of water distribution of the bowl.
  • Such a device thus makes it possible to reduce the need to place a separate or additional ventilation system of one or more rooms, or even to eliminate the need to place a separate or additional ventilation system for one or more rooms.
  • the device according to the invention thus allows one or more advantages chosen from: energy saving (a single motor for the aspiration of odors and ventilation; advantageous aspiration of air from the room to the level of the bowl, this air being less hot air adjacent to the ceiling), ensure elimination of odors at the source (we must no longer use air fresheners), a good evacuation of odors (the smell of the bowl is mixed with a volume of air passing not by the rim of the bowl, this ensuring that odors can not remain in the tank and / or the exhaust duct), ensure cleaning of or ducts of the air evacuation by the actuation of the flushing (no deposit of dust in this or these pipes, non-proliferation of mites or other parasites in this or these pipes, hence reduction of allergy problems), maintaining a sufficient water level in the siphon after firing
  • the same system thus allows extraction of a sufficient volume of air to ensure a sufficient renewal of air in the room (or ventilation of the room) and efficient extraction of stale air or odors contained in the bowl.
  • This system is of simple design and, in these best embodiments, does not require the drilling of holes in the walls for the passage of exhaust duct.
  • the invention therefore relates to a device for extracting air from at least one room and exhausting stale air contained in a bowl as defined by appended claim 1.
  • the suction or extraction means is a means ensuring an average minimum suction or extraction of at least 15 m 3 of air per hour, advantageously at least 20 m 3 of air per hour, of preferably at least 25 m 3 of air per hour, in particular from 25 m 3 to 100 m 3 (for example from 30 to 60 m 3 ) of air per hour.
  • This aspiration or extraction can be continuous, semi-continuous or intermittent.
  • the suction or extraction means is associated with an element allowing suction or extraction of air from the room in which the bowl is located without passing through the overflow and the distribution channel, said element being adapted so that in the absence of water passage in the pipe, the ratio of the volume of air sucked in or extracted by the distribution channel / volume of air sucked or extracted does not pass through the distribution channel is between 0.1 and 5, preferably between 0.2 and 3, preferably between 0.5 and 2, for example between 0.7 and 1.5, in particular between 0.7 and 1.
  • the ratio will be chosen in particular to ensure a good extraction of the stale air of the bowl or odors present in the bowl, while ensuring that during the passage of water through the distribution channel, a larger volume of air can be sucked by not passing through the distribution channel at least substantially without creating noise s, hisses and / or vibrations.
  • the discharge pipe has a passage section of at least 1 cm 2 , advantageously between 1.5 cm 2 and 100 cm 2 , preferably between 3 cm 2 and 60 cm 2 .
  • This passage section will advantageously be determined as a function of the air flow to have a suitable air speed substantially ensuring the absence of noise.
  • the device is in particular designed for a sanitary appliance comprising a flush tank.
  • the suction or extraction means ensures a minimum suction of at least 15 m 3 per hour of air present in the flush tank, while the tank is associated with one or more passages allowing the admission of air from the room in the tank to- above the overflow level.
  • the fact that all the air passes through the tank makes it possible to avoid that odors or traces of odor can remain in the tank or can leave the tank towards the room.
  • the size of the passage (s) will be adapted taking into account any openings that the tank has, for example at the level of the control device of the flush.
  • the size of the passage or passages will also be adapted according to the power of the motor, the volume of air sucked by the extraction means, the presence of suction or extract air control diaphragm, etc.
