Definitions
- the invention relates to an armored vehicle, in particular a combat vehicle, in which an air inlet opening is arranged in an outer wall, behind which a radiator is positioned in the vehicle interior, wherein the air inlet opening is provided with a ballistic protection device.
- the ballistic guards at the air inlet opening are generally designed as so-called Grätings, which has the disadvantage that the ballistic effects are direction-dependent and the radar signatures are conspicuous. It is also known, in each case to arrange a cover plate over the air inlet openings, wherein the air enters laterally under the cover plate, which has the disadvantage that the vehicle roofs must be increased. Such arrangements are made DE 1114410 and DE 4228 865 known.
- the invention has the object of providing an armored vehicle, in particular a combat vehicle with the features described in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that on the one hand sufficient air access is ensured, on the other hand, a high ballistic protection and a low radar and IR Signature can be achieved.
- the outer dimensions are equal to or smaller by a predetermined amount than the dimensions of the air inlet opening, and the spaces between the outer edges of the bottom plate and the inner edges of the air inlet opening are closed by a closed ring forming cover plates, and the bottom plate in the central region has an air passage opening, under which the cooler is positioned, and partially covers the recess formed by the bottom plate and the cover plates of a protective plate is, whose dimensions are at least along partial areas of their outer edges smaller than the dimensions of the air inlet opening, but larger than the dimensions of the air passage opening in the bottom plate , and which is arranged substantially in the plane of the outer wall.
- the basic idea of the invention is to cover the air inlet opening with at least two open, the air inlet permitting air passage slots with a protective plate, which is designed as an armor plate and is arranged substantially flush and parallel to the surrounding vehicle contour. Below this protective plate, a bottom plate is arranged, which has an air passage opening in the middle region, under which the cooler is positioned. Since the protective plate overlaps the Heil gutsögnung in the bottom plate, a ballistic tightness is ensured under all threat angles. Furthermore, parallel plates can be arranged in the edge region for covering protective plate, which are used simultaneously for producing a balanced over the air inlet flow distribution.
- the space below the covering protective plate is divided by partitions substantially perpendicular to the protective plate, that at least two of the above-mentioned air passage slots associated volume arise.
- the partitions can be connected to the covering protective plate and can be arranged either with gap or flush with the subsequent air guide elements. Due to the ventilation of the covering protective plate, a low IR signature can be achieved, while a low radar signature results from the plane parallel to the surrounding vehicle structure arranged flat protective plate, which can be improved by radar absorbing coatings of the air inlet region and the underside of the protective cover and the partition walls ,
- Fig. 1 shows the initial situation in a roof panel of a combat vehicle, not shown in the rest in the region of an air inlet opening.
- the roof panel 1 has a rectangular opening 2, below which a radiator 3 is arranged in the manner indicated.
- the opening 2 should now be closed with a ballistic protective cover.
- a substantially parallel to the roof panel 1 extending bottom plate 5 is arranged, whose outer dimensions are slightly smaller than the dimensions of the air inlet opening 2.
- Zur Holder of the bottom plate 5 serve cover plates 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4, which are inserted into the spaces between the outer edges of the bottom plate 5 and the inner edges of the air inlet opening 2 and form a closed ring.
- the cover plates 4.2 and 4.4 are sloping slightly obliquely inwards towards the middle region of the base plate.
- the bottom plate 5 has a rectangular air passage opening 6, below which the cooler 3 is positioned.
- the depression formed in the vehicle contour by the base plate 5 and the cover plates 4.1 to 4.4 is now partially covered by a rectangular protective plate 7 such that an overall ring-shaped between the outer edges of the protective plate 7 and the inner edges of the air inlet opening 2 Passage slot is created.
- the protective plate 7 is arranged in the plane of the roof panel 1 and parallel to this and dimensioned so that it completely covers the air passage opening 6 in the bottom plate 5, so that a ballistic tightness is ensured under all threat angles.
- the air can enter from four sides through the formed annular channel.
- Fig. 4 shows how the space between the bottom plate 5 and the protective plate 7 can be divided by air baffles 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 in several separate inlet regions for the incoming air.
- the baffles are 8.1 to 8.3 viewed in plan view of the air passage opening 6 H-shaped, wherein the cross bar 8.3 of H is located substantially on a center line of the air passage opening 6 and the two longitudinal beams 8.1 and 8.2 of the H in the edge regions of the air passage opening 6 , In this case, the length of the two longitudinal beams 8.1 and 8.2 is greater than the width of the air passage opening 6.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an armored vehicle, in particular a combat vehicle, in which an air inlet opening is arranged in an outer wall, behind which a radiator is positioned in the vehicle interior, wherein the air inlet opening is provided with a ballistic protection device.
The invention has the object of providing an armored vehicle, in particular a combat vehicle with the features described in the preamble of
The solution of this object is achieved according to the invention, that in the vehicle interior in the region between the radiator and the air inlet opening a substantially parallel to the outer wall extending bottom plate is arranged, the outer dimensions are equal to or smaller by a predetermined amount than the dimensions of the air inlet opening, and the spaces between the outer edges of the bottom plate and the inner edges of the air inlet opening are closed by a closed ring forming cover plates, and the bottom plate in the central region has an air passage opening, under which the cooler is positioned, and partially covers the recess formed by the bottom plate and the cover plates of a protective plate is, whose dimensions are at least along partial areas of their outer edges smaller than the dimensions of the air inlet opening, but larger than the dimensions of the air passage opening in the bottom plate , and which is arranged substantially in the plane of the outer wall. Advantageous developments of the invention are described below and in the dependent claims.
The basic idea of the invention is to cover the air inlet opening with at least two open, the air inlet permitting air passage slots with a protective plate, which is designed as an armor plate and is arranged substantially flush and parallel to the surrounding vehicle contour. Since the protective plate overlaps the Luftdurchtrittsögnung in the bottom plate, a ballistic tightness is ensured under all threat angles. Furthermore, parallel plates can be arranged in the edge region for covering protective plate, which are used simultaneously for producing a balanced over the air inlet flow distribution. The space below the covering protective plate is divided by partitions substantially perpendicular to the protective plate, that at least two of the above-mentioned air passage slots associated volume arise. Fig. 1 shows the initial situation in a roof panel of a combat vehicle, not shown in the rest in the region of an air inlet opening. The
For this purpose, as shown in Fig. 2, in the vehicle interior in the area between the
As shown in FIG. 3, the depression formed in the vehicle contour by the
In the space between the
In Fig. 4 shows how the space between the
Of course, it is also possible to divide the space between the base plate and protective plate by slightly differently arranged air baffles in several separate inlet regions for the incoming air. For example, in deviation from the position shown in Fig. 4, the air baffles seen in plan view of the air passage opening can also be arranged T-shaped or Y-shaped. It is essential that separate air inlet areas arise, so that no mixing of the incoming air flows from different directions takes place.
The arrangement of the
The annular gap between the
